This week, we’re joined by our friend Matt as we dig into the surprisingly elusive history of the Hard Rock Cafe in SLC. We talk about the limited information we could find, wonder whether the restaurant featured any Utah-specific memorabilia, and try to figure out why it eventually closed its doors. Then we remember Google Earth exists and we go back in time to attempt to answer one very important question: WHERE WAS IT?! It’s part history, part speculation, and part amateur satellite-image investigation as we try to piece together the story of one of Salt Lake City’s forgotten downtown restaurants.
