Lodi argues that Western society has medicalised life itself, that naming a condition turns a bodily process into an enemy to be fought, and that the disease model was shaped by Rockefeller’s Flexner Report to create a point of sale. He makes the case for understanding cancer as a metabolic condition rather than a genetic one, drawing on Otto Warburg’s Nobel-winning work and Thomas Seyfried’s cybrid experiments.
