Mariposas Galacticas is not your typical band; they boast an ensemble of 10-12 musicians and incorporate a mix of cultures including Indigenous/Ecuadorian roots & Jewish-American heritage/Klezmer elements into their performances. Their music is amplified by unique instruments, such as the haunting Saw player, contributing to their authentic orchestral Cumbia sound. Beyond the music, Mariposas Galacticas sees their art as a tool for liberation and healing. They actively support local organizations and causes through their performances. The band aims to spread joy and healing through their music, leaving audiences with a profound sense of unity and inspiration.
