Today is the LAST episode of season ONE and is special to me as I opened this new chapter of podcasting with one of my sisters and I close it with the other. Today's guest is Erica, my oldest sister, who is a "newish" mom. She became a wife and mom at 36. I love her perspective as a mom navigating her journey of breastfeeding while balancing work and home life in the first year. At the close of the interview, she flips the script and asks me about plans for the future with the podcast and things I have learned. Whether you are in a season of waiting for your partner, your first child, another child, a new job, or new circumstances, I hope you will find encouragement today and find relatability as we are simply two moms talking about real life as working moms.
Today’s guest is Katherine. Katherine is a wife and mom of three small children and a nurse who teaches in a university’s undergraduate nursing program while also pursing a masters degree. She makes balancing work, motherhood, home life, and school look, well, much easier than it is. One of the reasons I invited Katherine to chat today Is because she has this incredible gift of making you feel understood, loved, and uplifted. She is the host of all hosts and has a beautiful heart. Katherine loves Jesus and sharing about her faith in a way that is approachable. Whether you know Jesus, practice another religion, or don’t believe God exists, I hope you feel as encouraged today as I feel with any amount of time spent with Katherine.
Today’s episode features Abby. Abby is a mom of two who works full time outside of the home on weekends and cares for her children full time during the week. I really resonate with her as she speaks to how her life has changed since having kids, but how much joy and fulfillment she experiences through motherhood. I apologize for my voice in advanced, when we recorded this I has just gotten over the "virus of the week" that my kids brought home from daycare which some of you know all to well. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today’s episode with Abby as much as I did. After the episode, head over to @its.a.balancingact on Instagram and join a growing community for working moms.
Kelly is a single mom of two who has primarily worked night shift. One of the reasons I invited Kelly on the podcast today is because she has such a beautiful and uplifting spirit despite going through very difficult situations.I hope you leave as encouraged by Kelly's Episode today as I did.
The first interview episode for It's A Balancing Act is here!Lauren is mom of two with one on the way (actually any day now). She is a full-time infectious disease pharmacist and medical school professor.I invited Lauren on the podcast today because 1) She's my sister and she will still love me if this massively fails.... and 2) Because she does such a great job at being a present mom while managing a stressful career.I hope you enjoy this first interview and I promise I will get better with edits as the season goes along. 🙂
Todays episode, the very FIRST episode of "It's A Balancing Act" is a bit different than what is to come. This is a short introductory episode about the Host, why she created this podcast, and what is to come from Season One.
