Wedding, Chickens, Flooding & Our 50th Birthday Month Tease | Sip & Share

Good morning and welcome to Coffee Beanery Sip and Share! It’s just Laurie and Britain today (with needy Duke on her lap) while Patti is busy helping get ready for her son’s wedding this Saturday. We chat about how different weddings feel now versus “back then,” rustic campground ceremonies, destination ideas, and the reality of family size vs. cost. Then we recap last week’s Secret Garden coffees (Enchanted Berry Patch, Elderflower, Mossy Path Maple, and Sun-Dappled Apricot) and dream about speakeasy-style secret gardens with charcuterie and twinkle lights. Also in this episode: • Why Patti’s coffee themes and flavor development is so impressive • AI product photos vs. clothing try-ons • Our upcoming 50th birthday month (special merch, freebies, and Legends Club perks) • The flooded training building, asbestos testing, and cleanup progress • New chickens, raccoon predators, and dramatic “only-child” hen behavior • Indoor lettuce growing and Michigan farming rain struggles Birthday month officially kicks off soon — watch Facebook for VIP early access! Thanks for hanging out with us. Have a wonderful week and we’ll see you next time!#CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #50thBirthday #Chickens #SecretGarden #CoffeeChat

Secret Garden Coffee Taste Test: Berry Patch, Elderflower, Maple & Apricot | Sip & Share

Good morning and welcome to Coffee Beanery Sip and Share! Britain and Patti are in today (Laurie is handling a burst pipe and insurance adjusters in another building). This week we’re tasting the full July Coffee of the Month box — theme: Secret Garden. Inspired by the classic ’90s movie, this collection is full of bright, unique flavors: • Enchanted Berry Patch – sweet, juicy mixed berries • Elderflower – light, floral, honey blossoms & soft sweetness • Mossy Path Maple – rich golden maple that tastes like pancakes in a cup • Sun-Dappled Apricot – golden apricot with a bright, sun-ripened finish All four are delicious and surprisingly different from each other. Berry Patch and Apricot are big favorites, and Maple is pure comfort. We also chat about kids’ museums and field trips, missing the little versions of our kids, subscription timing questions, creepy neighbors, Vegas memories, the upcoming 50th birthday celebrations, and the current summer sale. Full-size bags and pods of these flavors are available starting today (the 22nd)! Once the monthly box ships, it’s gone — so grab them while you can. Which Secret Garden flavor would you try first? Let us know in the comments! Thanks for joining us — hope your summer is going well. See you next week! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #SecretGarden #CoffeeOfTheMonth #CoffeeTasteTest #FlavoredCoffee

$100 Mystery Box Unboxing: $189 Serum, Curling Iron, Perfume & Mushroom Coffee | Sip & Share

Laurie, Patti, Britain (and Mama’s Boy Duke) are opening a sealed “Fun Delivered” mystery box today — the kind filled with returned or lost packages — and we had no idea what we’d get! For about $100 we pulled out some seriously nice stuff: • Power Redo anti-aging blur primer • Silk Illness compression leggings • Stack of white tees • Rise Superfoods mushroom coffee (we still don’t love it) • 14-inch synthetic wig (hello Halloween) • Big hydro jug with stickers & drink timeline • Dossier Amber Vanilla perfume • Cute Halloween cups • High-end SkinMedica / Ulta haul including $50 sunscreen, $189 CE Ferulic serum, and a $160 curling iron • Plus a stinky-but-cute gift set with socks, soap, bath bomb, sleep mask & more Total estimated value was way higher than what we paid. Some absolute wins, a few head-scratchers, and one wig that made us laugh. Also in this episode: Galaxy Swirl (toasted marshmallow) is still a favorite, Supernova Cherry Almond is sold out, and next month’s box is The Secret Garden! Have you ever bought a mystery or lost-mail box? Tell us your best (or worst) finds in the comments! Thanks for hanging out — see you next week when we taste The Secret Garden coffees. #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #MysteryBox #Unboxing #FunDelivered #SkincareHaul

True Crime & Coffee: Cyanide Iced Coffee Case + Bleach in the Coffee Pot | Sip & Share

Britain and Patti are diving into true crime today (thanks to Savannah’s excellent suggestion)! We start with a quick update on our recent color analysis — Patti is a deep/winter (jewel tones) and Britain is a soft/muted palette — and how it’s already changing the way we look at our closets. Then we get into the main event: true crime stories that actually involve coffee. Case 1: The 2016 Indonesian cyanide coffee murder A woman dies after sipping Vietnamese iced coffee in Jakarta. Her friend is convicted and sentenced to 20+ years, but there’s major controversy — no autopsy was performed and the forensic evidence is questioned. There’s a Netflix documentary on this one. Case 2: The Arizona bleach poisoning A military husband stationed in Germany notices his coffee tastes off. He tests it, finds chlorine, sets up cameras once they’re back in the U.S., and catches his wife pouring bleach into the coffee pot. Motive? Military benefits during a messy divorce. Her sentence? Only probation. We also touch on local cases, drunk-driving tragedies, a personal landlord/squatter nightmare, jury duty stories, books we’re reading, and classic drive-in movie memories. Galaxy Swirl (toasted marshmallow) is still flying off the shelves — pods are almost gone! If you love coffee and murder shows (and about three people), this one’s for you. Drop your favorite true crime recommendation in the comments. Thanks for hanging out — see you next week! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #TrueCrime #CoffeeAndCrime #ForensicFiles #MurderShows

Trying $4 Frozen Coffee Pods in a Heat Wave + 4th of July Plans | CB Sip & Share

t’s Wednesday, it’s a heat wave, and Laurie, Patti, and Britain are back for Coffee Beanery Sip and Share! We kick things off talking about the brutal humidity, cancelled soccer, cooling the warehouse, and our favorite small-town Fourth of July traditions (pancake breakfast, parade, and friends from out of town finally coming back after 15 years). Teddy the pug is turning 14 this weekend too! Then we dive into something new: flash-frozen concentrated coffee pods from a company that calls itself a technology company (not a coffee company). These little liquid-nitrogen-frozen pods are about $4 a cup. We melted and tasted several: • Frozen Gold – light roast with notes of orange, maple syrup & milk chocolate • Proud Mary – natural Brazil (chocolate, fudge, caramel, date) • Geisha – bright, floral & acidic • A Colombian that… did not go well Some were surprisingly good, one was way too bright, and one was just plain rancid. Fun experiment, but probably not replacing our regular coffee anytime soon. Also in this episode: last month’s Fly Me to the Moon flavors flying off the shelves, creamer shelf-life mysteries, dehydrators, public-domain ideas for future boxes, and a color analysis appointment right after the live. Stay cool out there, happy early 4th of July, and let us know if you’ve ever tried fancy frozen coffee! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #FrozenCoffee #HeatWave #FourthOfJuly #CoffeeTasteTest

Fly Me to the Moon Coffee Taste Test: Milky Way Caramel, Galaxy Swirl & More | Sip & Share

Patti’s on vacation, so Laurie, Britain, and Branson (here by force) are tasting the full Fly Me to the Moon Coffee of the Month box together! This space-themed collection is packed with four delicious flavors, and it was honestly hard to pick a favorite. We try: • Galaxy Swirl – Toasted Marshmallow • Milky Way Caramel – Rich mocha + sea salt caramel (a clear standout) • Supernova Cherry Almond – Dark chocolate, tart cherry & toasted almond • Nebula Neapolitan – Chocolate + strawberry (like a Neapolitan ice cream sandwich) All four are winners and taste exactly like their descriptions. Several of us are already planning to stock up on the Milky Way Caramel (especially the decaf). Along the way we chat about astrology coffee orders, Denny’s stories (including Japan), ranch dressing obsessions, ice cream trucks, AI, books, and more classic Sip & Share chaos. The subscription is still available — $25 for the smaller sizes (pods or 2.5 oz samplers) including shipping, or upgrade to 12 oz bags / 12-count K-cups. Perfect ongoing gift idea! Which flavor would be your #1? Let us know in the comments! Thanks for watching — we’re heading back to pack orders (some with extra hearts). Have a great week! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #CoffeeOfTheMonth #FlyMeToTheMoon #CoffeeTasteTest #FlavoredCoffee

Welcome to another chaotic episode of Coffee Beanery Sip and Share with Laurie, Patti, and Britain! Today we’re throwing a proper birthday party for the pups — Daisy and Duke just turned one! Cue doggy bakery cupcakes, table-climbing, frosting licking, and pure birthday chaos (Willie was not left out). Between the puppy party we catch up on: • A sweet care package of plants from our Texas franchise • Laurie & Patti’s weekend glamping trip in a fancy yurt (and why they bailed early for a lightning storm) • New battery-powered weed whacker & power-tool talk • Gardening hacks, neighbor tree drama, and coffee grounds for everything • Scottish Tartan Army fans taking over America (kilts, beer, and July 4th vibes) • Rock hunting at Lake Michigan + cake pops for the humans • A few darker local crime-story side quests and haunted-house tales Coffee of the Month boxes started shipping yesterday, so keep an eye on your mailbox! Weird Coffee Taste Test: Lavender Sea Cream, Rose Potpourri & Mexican Hot Chocolate

Good morning and welcome to Coffee Beanery Sip and Share! Britain and Patti are in today (Laurie’s missing this one) for coffee R&D, youth sports drama, and a fresh tornado story. Aptti is deep into planning next year’s Coffee of the Month boxes and has a batch of unique (and sometimes questionable) new flavors from a flavoring company to try. We start with the solid Raspberry Wedding Cake, then dive into the truly strange: Lavender Sea Cream (what even is sea cream?) and Rose Pistachio that tastes exactly like potpourri. Thankfully the Mexican Hot Chocolate saves the day and might be a future winner. In between sips we chat about: • Youth football combines for kindergarteners and the wild parent drama • Yesterday’s tornado that skimmed right over the building • Baking for college kids, pie opinions, and goth gardens • Upcoming boxes (including the Fly Me to the Moon space theme) Which flavor would you actually drink? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for hanging out with us — stay safe out there and happy coffee drinking! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #CoffeeTasteTest #WeirdFlavors #Tornado #CoffeeOfTheMonth

Japanese Snack Taste Test: Honey Butter Cookies, Weird Mochi & 50 Kinds of Kit Kats

Coffee Beanery Sip and Share is back with a full Japanese snack tasting! Laurie, Patti, and Britain dig into the goodies Laurie brought home from Japan—beautiful packaging, Google Translate struggles, and lots of opinions. We try the elusive honey butter cookies from Mount Fuji (the ones they hunted the whole trip and never found again), strawberry bean-paste “mochi,” chocolate steamed buns, maple butter sand cookies, drinkable konjac jelly, and a whole lineup of Japanese Kit Kats (salted caramel, banana, sakura/cherry blossom, and more). Some are instant favorites. Some are… not. Expect texture debates, strong sesame, fake strawberry disasters, sour-candy eye-watering moments, and the dogs desperately trying to get in on the action. Plus a little side chat about color analysis at the end. Grab a coffee (or a Kit Kat) and join us for the tasting chaos! Snacks we tried this episode: • Mount Fuji honey butter cookies • Strawberry bean-paste & whipped cream sweets • Maple butter sand cookies (big favorite) • Konjac jelly drink pouches • Japanese Kit Kats – salted caramel, banana, sakura & more • Sour berry candies & snack mixes Which one would you try first? Drop your vote in the comments! Thanks for watching—see you next time on Sip and Share. #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #JapaneseSnacks #KitKat #TasteTest #JapanTravel

Tokyo Disney Tears, Bowing Deer, Sumo & a $1,600 Purse Mistake | CB Sip & Share

Welcome back to Coffee Beanery Sip and Share! Britain and Patti catch up with Laurie after her recent trip to Japan—and she has stories. From emotional moments at Tokyo Disney and the adorable bowing deer at Nara Park, to navigating a huge 40-person tour group, cultural differences around conformity and cleanliness, meeting a maiko, watching sumo wrestling, and the hilarious (expensive) Chanel purse mix-up… this one’s packed with travel tales, laughs, and real talk. We also chat about wagyu beef, regional snacks that disappeared forever, Japanese school backpacks that cost hundreds, the legendary toilets, and why Laurie’s never doing a big group tour again. Plus a little peek at the next destinations on the bucket list (Greece is coming!). Grab your coffee and settle in—this one’s a fun one. Mentioned in this episode: • Tokyo Disney & the unexpected tears • Nara Deer Park (they really bow!) • Big-group tour realities with Globus • Maiko encounter in Kyoto • Sumo training & wrestling with the pros • The $160 vs $1,600 purse story • Japanese culture, cleanliness, and kid backpacks • Coffee in Japan (lots of Starbucks!) Thanks for watching/listening—drop a comment and tell us where you’d love to go next! #CoffeeBeanery #SipAndShare #JapanTravel #TokyoDisney #TravelStories
