#147 - 10 Unexpected Life Lessons From Ted Lasso

In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage, I'm unpacking 10 of the biggest life lessons I took from the show TED LASSO ~ and why so many of them apply to entrepreneurship, high performance and the way we lead ourselves and other people. I started watching Ted Lasso for entertainment and somehow ended up taking notes on leadership, success, ego, relationships and what it actually means to be a good human. We talk about: ⚡️ Why curiosity will take you further than judgement ⚡️ Why great leaders don't need to be the smartest person in the room ⚡️ How the way you make people feel can change what they're capable of ⚡️ When your greatest strength quietly becomes an avoidance strategy ⚡️ Why capable people still need somewhere they can be held ⚡️ Forgiveness without abandoning your standards ⚡️ Believing before you have enough evidence ⚡️ Why winning isn't always the point ⚡️ Accepting that you can't do someone else's changing for them ⚡️ And, of course... why sometimes you just need to be a goldfish Underneath all ten lessons is probably the thing I loved most about Ted Lasso: Success means very little if you lose your humanity trying to achieve it. You can be ambitious. You can want money, recognition, impact and extraordinary results. But who you become while getting there matters too. 🎙️ Your Invisible Advantage with Tayla Bubeck For entrepreneurs, creators and high performers interested in the psychology behind business, leadership, influence, success and becoming a better human while you're at it. If you loved this episode, send it to the person you've been trying to convince to watch Ted Lasso. 😂

#145 - Our Unconventional 9 Year Relationship: Money, Marriage, Kids & Ambition ft. Jacob Cox

What actually keeps a relationship together after nine years? For this episode of Your Invisible Advantage , I'm sitting down with someone I've never had on the podcast before... my partner, Jacob Cox. We've been together for nine years. We're not married. We don't have children. We've built businesses, bought and sold property, taken financial risks, sacrificed a lot, made money, spent money, changed our minds and grown into very different versions of the people who first met. And through all of it, we've continued to choose each other. This isn't an episode about having the "perfect relationship." It's a conversation about what we've personally learned from building a life alongside another person for almost a decade. We talk about how we met, whether we knew we'd found "the one," the parts of each other people don't see, and the relationship advice we think actually matters after nine years together. We also get into the conversations people are always curious about: ~ Why aren't we married?~ Do we actually know whether we want children?~ What happens when the woman becomes the breadwinner?~ Who controls our finances?~ Do we share money or keep it separate?~ How does Jacob feel about how much I work?~ Where does he take the lead in our relationship?~ How have we built wealth through property and risk?~ Why did we sacrifice so much financially in the early years?~ How do we think differently about money?~ And how do you build a relationship that isn't based on keeping score? One of my favourite ideas from this conversation is simple: Don't just find someone you want to thrive with. Find someone you're willing to suffer with. Because nine years won't only contain the holidays, money, beautiful houses and wins. There will be setbacks. Financial pressure. Family shit. Career changes. Sacrifice. Arguments. Different seasons. Different ambitions. And versions of each other neither of you met at the beginning. Longevity isn't about never changing. Maybe it's about finding someone you can keep changing beside.

#144 - Becoming The Coolest Person You Know [ft. Erin May Henry]

In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage , I sit down with Erin May Henry to unpack one of the biggest problems facing entrepreneurs and creators today: losing yourself while trying to become successful. What if the reason your business feels hard isn't your strategy... ...it's that you've built a version of yourself that isn't actually you? We dive into why so many personal brands end up looking identical, how the coaching industry accidentally encouraged people to copy instead of create, and why the people who build the strongest brands are usually the ones brave enough to become more themselves - not less. We also talk about: • Becoming "the coolest person you know"• Reinventing yourself publicly• Building a business around your natural strengths• Why authenticity isn't a marketing strategy - it's an identity• Creator archetypes and finding your natural content style• Why following gurus often makes your content worse• The psychology behind confidence, hobbies and self-trust• Creating content that actually feels like you If you've ever felt like you've lost yourself while trying to grow online, this conversation is for you. #143 - 7 Truths Successful People Learn Too Late

In this solo episode of YOUR INVISIBLE ADVANTAGE PODCAST , I unpack 7 truths for building a meaningful life ~ particularly for ambitious entrepreneurs, creators, founders and high performers who already know how to achieve, but want their success to actually feel fulfilling. Because ambition isn’t the problem. Making money isn’t the problem. The problem begins when you build an impressive life without ever stopping to ask whether it’s actually your life. What happens when you finally get the success, money, opportunities and reputation you spent years chasing… and realise achievement alone still isn’t enough? Inside this episode, we explore: ~ Why you cannot outsource the question of what actually matters to you~ Why building your own life requires being willing to be misunderstood~ Choosing the challenges that are actually worth enduring~ Why your relationship with your own mind determines the quality of your life~ The space between what happens and how you respond~ Why denying what you truly want creates its own form of suffering~ The danger of building your life around other people’s values~ Why meaning requires contributing to something larger than yourself~ Why successful people still need something worth working for ~ Learning to sit alone with yourself without constant distraction~ How silence helps you recognise what you actually think, want and value~ The difference between reacting your way through life and actually authoring it This episode is for the person who has already proven they can achieve. You know how to work hard. You know how to make things happen. Now the question becomes: What are you actually building all of this for? Success can solve the problem of not having success. It cannot automatically give your life meaning. And the younger version of you may be incredibly proud of what you’ve built while the current version of you quietly knows something needs to evolve. If that’s where you are right now, this episode is for you. 💥 Subscribe for conversations on self-mastery, entrepreneurship, identity, influence, success and building a life that feels as meaningful internally as it looks externally. 🎙️ Hosted by Tayla Bubeck | The You're Invisible Advantage Podcast #success #meaningfullife #highperformance #entrepreneurship #personaldevelopment #selfmastery #philosophy #highachiever #purpose #fulfillment #successmindset #selfdevelopment INSTAGRAM: ⁨@taylabubeck_⁩PODCAST: Your Invisible Advantage PodcastLINKS: https://beacons.ai/taylabubeck _

#142 - The Self-Worth Problem In High-Achieving Women [Ft. Tijana Bundalo]

In this episode of the Your Invisible Advantage Podcast, in my guest series “Conversations with Success” , I sit down with Tijana Bundalo for part two of our conversation - and this time we go deeper into the real issue behind so many women staying stuck: self-worth. Not the fluffy version. Not the aesthetic social media version. The real version. The part that affects: how you lead how you love how you show up in business how you handle discomfort and whether you actually trust yourself to move forward Inside this episode, we unpack: – the two types of women Tijana sees most in her work – why some women stay stuck in healing for years – the difference between self-development and real embodiment – how low self-worth shows up in business, ambition, and relationships – why women overcommit, underdeliver, and lose trust in themselves – how shame, secrecy, and self-judgement keep patterns alive – the real reason awareness alone doesn’t create change – what it actually takes to rebuild self-trust and safety from within THIS SHOULD BE BEHIND A PAYWALL IT'S SO VALUABLE!! This episode is for the woman who has done the work…but knows there’s still a gap between what she understands and how she actually lives. Because as Tijana says, some women are driven and successful, but still operate from self-loathing instead of self-love. And until that changes, the external success never fully feels safe. 💥 Subscribe for more conversations that bridge identity, self-leadership, nervous system, business, and the invisible patterns behind success. #141 - Make People Care About Your Content

Social media is changing again ~ and the content strategies that built personal brands six months ago will not necessarily build them six months from now. In this solo episode of Your Invisible Advantage Podcast, I unpack the evolution of social media, how AI has changed what audiences value, and what creators, founders and business owners need to understand if they want more visibility, influence, connection and sales moving forward. We’ve moved through multiple eras online: Connection.Entertainment.Education.Interest-based content. And now, AI saturation. Information is no longer scarce. Anyone can ask ChatGPT for a strategy, script, framework or explanation within seconds. The new advantage is not simply what you know . It is: ~ How you know it~ What you lived to learn it~ How your brain interprets it~ The perspective only you can bring~ The personality and humanity behind the information Inside this episode, I break down: ~ Why generic educational content is becoming easier to ignore~ How AI has changed trust between creators and their audiences~ Why personality will outperform polished professionalism~ The difference between sharing information and demonstrating lived wisdom~ Why viral hooks fail when there is no substance behind them~ The three content pillars every strong personal brand needs~ How to use your business, personality and audience identity together~ Why storytelling makes simple education more memorable~ How to discover the content style that suits you and your audience~ Why small engagement prompts build stronger buyer relationships~ How to create a recognisable culture around your brand~ Why you do not need to comment on every controversy to hold strong opinions~ The audiences you unconsciously attract through the way you communicate Your audience can find information anywhere. They follow you because of your mind, lived experience, standards, personality, perspectives and the way you make them see themselves differently. If you are posting consistently but still wondering when it will finally be your turn, this episode will show you what may be missing. 💥 Subscribe for more conversations on personal branding, influence, business, content, leadership and the psychology behind becoming recognised for your work. 🎙️ Hosted by Tayla Bubeck | The You're Invisible Advantage Podcast INSTAGRAM: ⁨@taylabubeck_⁩PODCAST: Your Invisible Advantage PodcastLINKS: https://beacons.ai/taylabubeck _

#140 - Trust Recession? Rise of AI? Hidden Pressures of Success for Men? [Ft. Travis Cochran + Justin Hughes]

In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage , Tayla sits down with Travis Cochran and Justin Hughes for a conversation that went somewhere completely unexpected. What started as a discussion on content and branding…turned into a real-time unpacking of identity, pressure, and what it actually feels like behind success. This episode explores the tension most people don’t talk about: – Building something that works… but feeling disconnected from it – The pressure to perform, provide, and “be someone” – Why trust is becoming more valuable than content – The shift from performance → authenticity – The identity crisis that comes when you slow down – Why people are walking away from businesses (and getting shamed for it) – The reality of being constantly visible and accessible – The difference between connection vs attention in personal branding – AI, authenticity, and the future of human content There’s a moment in this episode where the conversation shifts ~from strategy… to something much deeper. “99% of brand conversations are happening without you in the room.” Which means your reputation, your presence, and your realness matter more than ever. This isn’t a polished conversation. It’s a real one. So much so we didn't even do an introduction we got too caught up... 🎙 Hosted by Tayla Bubeck 🗣️ Guest: Travis Cochran ~ IG: @thetechnician 🗣️ Guest: Justin Hughes ~ IG: @its_justinhughes 🎧 Conversations on identity, leadership, business, and the unseen side of success

#139 - Stop Overthinking Content [& Start Printing Money]

In this episode of Your Invisible Advantage , I'm breaking down why so many entrepreneurs, creators and personal brands constantly feel stuck trying to create content. What if the reason you never know what to post... has nothing to do with content? Spoiler: It isn't because you need more ideas. It isn't because you need another content strategy. It's because you're trying to solve an identity problem with a marketing solution. Inside this episode we unpack: • Why "I don't know what to post" is usually fear disguised as confusion • The difference between documenting a mission vs curating a persona • Why clarity creates more content than any content calendar ever will • How to discover your unique Brand DNA and use it to create endlessly • What actually belongs on Instagram Stories • Where your best content ideas already exist • Why client conversations are your greatest source of authority • How to develop stronger opinions that naturally attract your ideal audience • Why documenting your life creates better content than manufacturing it • How one idea can become 20+ pieces of content across every platform This episode isn't about posting more. It's about creating content people actually remember. Because the brands that grow aren't the ones with the best hacks. They're the ones with the clearest point of view. If you're tired of overthinking every Reel, carousel or caption... This episode will completely change how you think about content creation. — 🎙 Hosted by Tayla Bubeck Helping entrepreneurs, creators and leaders build unforgettable personal brands through psychology, positioning, messaging and identity.
