Rosemarie Callender on how you can grow your podcast without social media
Hands up if you’re tired of promoting your podcast all over social media but without the rewards you expected?
My guest today has been very vocal on her own show about giving up the social media hustle for listeners and she’s going to share how she has been growing her podcast without making copious reels, stories and posts.
Rosemarie Callender is the host of The Podcast To Amplify Show: Podcasting Tips for Women Coaches, Service Providers and Entrepreneurs.
In this episode you’re going to hear what led Rosemarie to quitting instagram, and how she has increased her listenership instead.
You’re going to hear about her OCL framework and what simple steps you can start taking today to get your podcast into the right ears - and more of them.
This is Women Who Podcast and I’m your host Alison Fraser.
Some of Rosemarie’s tips:
Give your podcast a name that will help listeners find it
Add keywords to your podcast name, description and author name
Go back and rename episodes so that they show up in searches
Swap podcast intros with other podcasters
Repurpose your content - create playlists of episodes on a similar theme, add links to related episodes in your shownotes
Rosemarie mentioned her nine grid on instagram, this is where she still has a presence on the platform but all nine images relate to her and how she helps her ideal customer. Go have a look and get ideas for how to design yours.

Stacey Simms on lessons learned from 10 years of podcasting
When Stacey Simms’ son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes she turned to podcasts to learn more.
But when she couldn’t find what she was looking for her husband suggested she create her own show.
Nine years on and Diabetes Connections has more than 600 episodes. Stacey is also the host of Diabetes Connections Type 2, as well as the author of The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom and its sequel Still The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom.
I connected with Stacey over on Threads and in this conversation you’re going to hear what she would do differently if she were launching a podcast today, how she has successfully monetised her show and how she has connected with her listeners off air.
I’m Alison Fraser, host of Women Who Podcast, the show for side-hustling women who are ambitious but time-limited. Each week I bring you real life stories and actionable tips to help you create and grow your own podcast.

Overcome your fears and start that podcast, with Becca Ingersoll
What if no one listens.
What if my friends turn against me?
What if, what if, what if.
As a podcaster I’ve had these thoughts, and I’d bet that you have probably had something similar.
My guest today is Becca Ingersoll, she is the host of Finding Joy Through Life’s Trials, a podcast which she describes as a safe place for us to share our stories.
She had those what if thoughts too, but you’re going to hear what Becca did to push past these and to get her podcast off paper and into our ears.
We’re going to talk about being brave and sharing scary parts of life, about taking the leap when your head is full of what ifs and about Becca’s reading retreat.
Becca is a former high school English teacher, a stay-at-home mum to twins who were born prematurely, one of whom then underwent treatment for leukaemia, and she’s also a keen crafter and reader.
I’m Alison Fraser, host of Women Who Podcast, the show for side-hustling women who are ambitious but time-limited. Each week I bring you real life stories and actionable tips to help you create and grow your own podcast.

What I would do if I were starting all over again
Hey podcasters, what would you do differently if you were starting all over again?
This is the topic of this week’s show.
I’m going to go through what I would do differently, what I would keep the same and share what other podcasters would do.

Thanks to Penny Fitzgerald from Penny For Your Shots and
Mare, co-host of Connection Project 360, for contributing.
So dear listener, if you already have a podcast, what would you do differently?
You can join the conversation in my free facebook group, Women Who Podcast or you can email me at alison@alisonfraser.co.

Cultivating a Community Off-Air with Carla Ward
One of the best things I did last year was fly from New Zealand all the way over to Perth in Western Australia for a podcast listener meetup. I’d met just a couple of other people who I knew would be there, but everyone else would be a new connection - including the people I was sharing an air bnb with.
Was I worried? Not at all, in fact I was so excited to be meeting people who had the same interest as me.
That trip, and the people I met, will stick with me for as long as I live.
My guest today is Carla Ward, she is the host of the Everything ECE podcast and in this episode we’re going to talk about building a community off the air.
I’m Alison Fraser, host of Women Who Podcast, the show for side-hustling women who are ambitious but time-limited. Each week I bring you real life stories and actionable tips to help you create and grow your own podcast.

Meet the women who keep me accountable, AKA why accountability groups are amazing
Welcome back to another episode of Women Who Podcast.
This is the podcast for side hustling women who were time limited, but ambitious, and who wants to have some podcasting in their life, whether that's guesting or as I like to promote, having your own podcast.
This episode is a little different to the others. You're going to hear a call that was held between myself and three of my other podcasting friends.
We get together every week in an accountability group. Every Thursday morning or my time we meet. And we thought it would be fun to record a podcast about each of us asking a question that kind of relates to our own podcast.
You can get to hear the kinds of people who have a podcast. And if you haven't yet dipped your toe into podcasting yet, give you the courage and inspiration to do so.
You might find another podcast that you would like to listen to.
This episode features Robin Hackney host of Spandex & Wine. Penny Fitzgerald, host of Penny For Your Shots, and Becca Ingersoll, the host of Finding Joy Through Life's Trials.

Are you letting your mind monkeys get in the way of starting your podcast?
Are you paralyzed by over analysis of all the steps you could be taking when there is an easier path for you?
Are you stuck, but need someone to give you a gentle nudge to take action?
I'm trialing a podcast accountability group because I have experienced for myself what you can achieve when you have others alongside you in the same situation.
It's going to be small, so as not to overwhelm you. We'll meet weekly for a month, starting the week of April 8th to get you some wins.
And as my time zones going to be changing soon. I'm going to try to make it work for everyone who wants it.
This will be at a special beta price of $50. To secure your seat send an email to alison@alisonfraser.co
