Moving Towards Matriarchy: The Art of Loving

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? Stephanie, Sarah, and Kristen get intimate when it comes to love. Sarah has been reading The Art of Loving by Eric Fromme, where the author outlines 4 main criteria and guidelines to love 'correctly.' This felt like a very matriarchal discussion on not only love with another person, but a commentary on platonic relationships, how to show up passionately in business, in front of a blank canvas, or to treat oneself with the love and kindness one deserves. Of course, these 4 pillars are explored at great length, and the queens of We are the Matriarchy have insightful and honest accounts involving their own love lives, the art of loving is something that none of the women may master, admittedly, but this conversation paints an earnest picture as to how we can all make love a pillar and priority in every action we take. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

An Autumn Catch-Up

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? The ladies connect for a catch up. As the supermoon in Taurus is days away, the queens want to share on the emerging themes of their lives, since their last check in took place in the summertime. Sarah provides context on the current astrology. As always, themes of surrender, sovereignty, and shedding, just like the autumn leaves, are prevalent throughout each woman’s very unique and individual lives. Tune into this beautiful conversation, to also perhaps get you reflecting on what Scorpio season is transmuting in your own life. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

Moving Towards Matriarchy: On Subtle Power Dynamics

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? Stephanie, Sarah, and Kristen continue with their series Moving Towards Matriarchy by discussing how power plays, manipulation and upholding the patriarchy plays out in subtle ways in our daily lives. Whether it be with family members, romantic partners, children or siblings, this conversation illuminates all the ways that we use the inverted form of our femininity to take command over our lives within our interpersonal relationships. It may be an inflection on our voice, to say things in a certain way to get what we want, it may be transactional exchanges. The ladies point out that we all have different tactics to procure power in our relationships and it can only begin to change within our inner lives, within our homes, when we become conscious of our own intimate relationship with power. This conversation is not to say that power is inherently bad, but to make us strive to be intentional and authentic when we are interacting with others. Listen in and take note of this provocative conversation. #matriarchy #movingtowardmatriarchy Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

Moving Toward Matriarchy: Exploring Power

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? The ladies pick back up the microphone on their series 'Moving Towards Matriarchy' and my word, does this conversation fill Scorpio season with a sultry fire. Sarah shares a quote which spurs a conversation around hierarchical structures, the natural world, the patriarchy's ridged grip on power, how power struggles play out in small and subtle ways in our everyday lives, which in turn, have horrific ramifications on the world stage. This conversation is not only eye-opening, but acts to serve as a detailed overview of the topics the queens plan to touch on in future episodes of the series. If Moving Towards Matriarchy is something you are interested in exploring, and are curious about how to begin to adapt matriarchal principles into your daily life, this episode is a fiercely illuminating place to start. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

Moving Toward Matriarchy: The Art of Surrender

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? The goddesses discuss art. Art for art's sake. Surrender, creativity, spontaneity that take us off of our paved roads where our lives exist. This brilliant conversation spurred from a conscious-cracking open concept in Miranda July's novel, 'All Fours.' Where we allow life to lead us off course, and it's in taking these spontaneous detours that life can become art, life can surprise us. How the protagonist of July's novel walks into a store and by picking up a piece of thread, feels inspired by the thread's design, enough to alter her entire plan, around this one piece of material. When we allow the feminine to thrive, with having a healthy masculine framework, the staggering miracle of our human experience can unfold in magic. Listen in and take note. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

On Being in Transition

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? Stephanie, Sarah, and Kristen catch up on change. Sarah has existed too deeply in her subconscious for the majority of her life, where Kristen has actively tried to run away from hers, taking up shelter, or hiding in her ability to be present. But what happens when your ability to be present is actually a coping mechanism of not looking at the dirt of your past, and cleaning up your subconscious? Stephanie describes this as running on the surface of water, instead of diving into life's depths, where we experience, more often than not, some emotions that we'd rather not face. Other topics include, Sarah's neurofeedback therapy, and Stephanie's Canadian travels, which sometimes have felt like being a purgatory, and how she'd navigated this. A thought provoking discussion on real change being enacted through the ability to handle negative emotions, and its value in our lives. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

On the Autumn Equinox

The queens return from their summer Hiatus for a pre-Autumn equinox catch up. In this episode of What Would Venus Do, each woman comes into the conversation after experiencing a variety of intense emotions and a clearing of some kind. Stephanie finds herself in Newfoundland, in a state of surrender, after travelling far away from her routine of healthy habits and comforts. Sarah hits a snag in her raw food lifestyle, as she reaches a deeper level in her personal healing, which can feel confronting. Kristen expresses how tender and fragile she has been, recovering from the worst heartbreak of her life. All of this to say, the darkness we face serves a purpose - in these situations that bring us to our knees, in situations where balance is off, there is much wisdom to uncover. Listen in to this beautiful conversation, instilling surrender and grace into all that is arising in our lives. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

Moving Towards Matriarchy: A Vision of Wholeness

On the second episode in the series, Moving Towards Matriarchy the queens discuss their name itself, if to call ourselves a Matriarchy, what does this mean? How promoting a Matriarchal framework is not about male bashing, men versus women but on the contrary, having the utmost compassion for men, and about bringing both the feminine and masculine aspects into balance, closer to soul, and the spirit of the individual. A ton is covered, but some examples being: how women can uphold the patriarchy just as much, if not more, the men can, the hierarchical nature of patriarchy, how the work that men and women have to do in this arena may differ, due to how patriarchy is pervasive and entrenched in our society, the expectations placed on both men and women to uphold different aspects of the patriarchy differ, power struggles and so much more. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack

Moving Towards Matriarchy

Kick off the heat of August with a new series entitled Moving Towards Matriarchy. This series of What Would Venus Do? was birthed after Sarah Burns sent a youtube video on the Pillars of Patriarchy and Women's Invisible Labour. Upon listening to the segment on the invisible labour of women, which we link below, the ladies got into a spicy conversation offline. What came to light was how emotionally charged they all became, confronted with the hard truth of how the patriarchy has been imprinted within each of us, and how invisible labour plays such a major role in our lives! This premier episode in the series is one of the most passionate, alive, and important topics the ladies have ever discussed on air, with far too much detail and nuance to address in an intro. The principles of patriarchy are running their programs in our intimate lives and society all the time, and this conversation will send you to your edges. Listen in to join the movement. On Taking the Leap

On this episode of What Would Venus Do? Stephanie, Sarah, and Kristen discuss the concept of taking the leap. Imagine if instead of actually departing to search for the new world Magellan and his crew sat in the docked ship, getting drunk and only dreaming of the new world from the safety of the shore? In order to discover something new within yourself, you must leave behind what you know and what's comfortable. You must depart on open seas, into the unknown until you cannot see the old shoreline behind you. In order to foster this true change within, you must be willing to sit with yourself in the old comfort zone or identity whilst the new identity has not yet fully been embodied. This process will bring up discomfort for sure, but it's within having the courage to be uncomfortable, and experience growing pains, that our most precious lessons are learned. This inner work is the way we evolve. Listen and take notes to this beautiful reflection on the courage to change, to dream, and lose sight of the familiar shore. Sign Up for the Sacred Support Newsletter New Offerings: Free: The Art of Customer Support SOP's: Ritualizing Your Business Processes Asana Queendom Simplified Slack
