Season 4 Leadership Series by Prof. Somadoda Fikeni

In this powerful episode, Professor Somadoda Fikeni takes us on a deeply personal journey from his roots in a rural village in the Eastern Cape to becoming a respected voice in leadership, governance and society. He reflects on how his upbringing cultivated a deep sense of curiosity, a curiosity that challenged limiting beliefs, expanded his horizons and gave him the courage to dream beyond the world he knew. As his journey unfolded, each experience became a lesson in leadership, offering insights into identity, possibility, resilience, curiosity and the courage to imagine beyond your circumstances. Professor Fikeni also shares reflections on the lessons gathered along the way, reminding us that where we begin can influence our story, but it does not have to determine where we end. Tune in for an inspiring conversation about challenging limitations, embracing possibility and continually evolving into the leader you are capable of becoming. Your beginnings may shape you. They do not have to define your destination.

Season 4 Leadership Series Prof. Maurice Radebe

In this 6th instalment of the Leadership Series, I am joined by the distinguished Prof. Maurice Radebe for a thought-provoking conversation that offers a fresh perspective on leadership and career development. Prof. Radebe reminds us that leadership and career success are not built overnight . They are cultivated through the foundations we lay early in our careers, the lessons we embrace, the choices we make and how intentionally we navigate each stage of our professional journey. The experiences that shape us, both the successes and the challenges become part of the architecture of our leadership. They influence how we think, how we make decisions, how we lead others and ultimately, the impact we are able to create. This conversation invites us to look beyond leadership as a destination or a title and instead see it as an ongoing journey of learning, growth, self-awareness and becoming.

Season 3 Finale: Unpacking Childhood trauma by Nonkululeko Gobodo

As I wrap up Season 3 of the Unconditioned Mind, a season centered on entrepreneurship, personal growth, and development I felt it was vital to dive deep into the Inner Child and how it is shaped by childhood trauma, often forming at the exact age the trauma occurred. In this episode, I explore the profound and often unseen negative impact this unattended trauma has on our lives. So many of our patterns, limitations, and poor decisions are not a reflection of incapacity but rather responses from a wounded inner child operating from a place of limited emotional capacity. This conversation is an invitation to pause, reflect, and take ownership of your healing journey. I hope it inspires you to do the inner work necessary to become a healthier, more empowered version of yourself. May you step into this transformative journey with courage, honesty, and the vulnerability required for growth as you awaken to your true self.
