It has been said that travel expands your horizons.Especially going someplace you have never been before.Add to that, towers, mountains, monuments and other edifaces you can summit.One such edifice is found near Stuttgart Germany, in the city of Ulm, Before you even get close to the city, you can see the towering Ulm Münster steeple on the skyline. This 531-ft steeple is the tallest of any cathedral in the world, and the Ulm Münster, without the pews, the nave of the church could hold nearly 20,000 people, more than twice the population of Ulm at the time the cathedral was begun in 1377. Think of times and trips in your travels when you have climbed higher and higher.The views can be amazing.It's a great metaphor for life.When you elevate your persepctrive and push youself forward toward an expanded horizon, your vantage will change because you will change. The higher you are, the farther you can see.

What motivates men?Needs and wants are motivators.So are rewards.For podcast purposes we have broken down some of these needs and wants and rewards into categories.Today's podcast we talk about External Motivators, Internal Motivators, and Supernal Motivators.Each of the 3 areas can be broken down into subcategories or facets.Under External Motivators: Physical, Sexual, Financial, Material, RecreationalUnder Interal Motivators: Mental, Emotional, Social, Political, MoralUnder Supernal Motivators: Spiritual, Theological, Marital, Parental, PersonalThese categories can be likened to the 18 wheels on a semi truck.Consider the weight balance and necessary tire pressure on the 18 wheels. All of the eighteen tires are necessary but if one tire has a blow out, the remaining tires can manage the load until the tire can be repaired or replaced. If each tire represented a need, having several flat tires would negatively affect the a balance in the system. If the blown tire is neglected and other tires eventually blow as well, the rig would be stranded.You could easily over exaggerate a few areas while neglecting others. You could be physically fit for example, but socially inept. You could be in shape financially, but an absent husband or father. You could even excel spiritually and intellectually but be emotionally unstable.Listen and discover ways you can improve character as you focus on the facets of your life that move you.And make sure you get colon cancer screening!
