Black Friday Advice and More

I'm back at it Marketing Residency Listeners. Had a personal setback the day after that last broadcast - I explain it at the end of this podcast so you can end it early or listen if you feel like knowing a bit more about it. Don't forget to detach yourself for auto-renewals of Black Friday deal commitment deals from last year - you KNOW they will renew higher! Sometimes you don't get notified. Mark it in your calendars for next year. Pay attention. Also adjust your hours on your Google Business Profiles for being closed on Thanksgiving. People need to know your CORRECT open and closed days/hours. A personal note at the end of this podcast explains my hospital stay at the end of October. Back in action though - all is well. Keep Brand Chatter Quiet During Disasters

When big emergencies happen like hurricanes and tornadoes in your area it's best to be quiet about your brand and industry postings. Be more community focused and help people locate Red Cross Shelters or stations where food and water is being distributed. Use your social media feed to assist in recovery and not blather on about how great your business is doing. Be sensitive to other people's situations. Listen in. I share my FEMA experience from 1997.
