Would you spend the night in one of America’s most famous haunted hotels?

Would you spend the night in one of America’s most famous haunted hotels? 👻🏔️We stopped for lunch at The Post next to the iconic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park—and before we even made it inside, we spotted a beautiful elk wandering the property. What a welcome! After lunch, we explored the historic Stanley Hotel, best known for inspiring Stephen King’s The Shining and for serving as the filming location of the 1997 TV miniseries The Shining. It has also appeared in movies like Dumb and Dumber and the documentary Room 237.Inside, you’ll find grand staircases, elegant historic décor, vintage photos, cozy gathering spaces, and fascinating displays that tell the hotel’s story. I even wandered through the hedge maze while taking in the incredible mountain views all around the property.I didn’t stay the night… and maybe that’s for the best! The Stanley Hotel has a long-standing reputation for being haunted, with countless guests sharing eerie experiences over the years.Would you spend the night there… or is a daytime visit enough for you? 👇 #StanleyHotel #EstesPark #ColoradoAdventures #HauntedHotels #TravelVlog #WheelsAndWarbles

You don’t just get to the top—you earn it. (Part 2)The Pikes Peak Highway climbs over 14,000 feet with 150+ turns, steep drop-offs, and constantly changing scenery. Driving up to 14,000 feet… one wrong turn would be a very bad day.

Driving up to 14,000 feet… one wrong turn would be a very bad day. This is Pikes Peak in Colorado… one of the highest drivable mountains in North America. The road climbs over 14,000 feet with more than 150 turns… and the higher you go, the thinner the air gets. What starts as a normal mountain drive slowly turns into something a little more intense and scary… tighter curves, steep drop-offs, but views that get bigger with every mile. By the time you reach the top, you’re literally driving above the clouds. The views are worth it… but the drive is something you don’t forget. Would you drive it. #PikesPeak #ColoradoTravel #VisitColorado #MountainAdventures #WheelsandWarbles

53 MPH Wind Gusts Made This Scary

Would you cross a bridge with 40 mph winds… and gusts hitting 53? I’m at the Royal Gorge Bridge—built back in 1929 and once the highest bridge in the world. It’s over 950 feet above the Arkansas River… and today, the wind is making it feel every bit of that. Every step feels like the bridge is moving with the wind. you can feel that push the entire way across. At 40 mph sustained winds, you’re constantly adjusting just to stay steady. Then a gust hits—53 mph—and it’s a reminder that nature is very much in control out here. What’s crazy is this bridge has been standing for nearly a century, surviving everything from time to massive Colorado weather—and even wildfires that swept through the gorge in 2003. Without the wind, this would’ve been a peaceful, breathtaking walk, I think. But today it’s pure adrenaline. #RoyalGorgeBridge #RoyalGorge #ColoradoAdventures #VisitColorado#WheelsandWarbles

Climbing the Cave at Palo Duro Canyon

As you cruise down the park road, you are looking at rock walls that are over two hundred and fifty million years old. But if you look up at the right moment... you’ll spot the opening to the Big Cave . There is no official sign, but a short scramble up the loose red clay connects the road straight to the cavern. It gets slippery, but the view from the top changes everything." Stepping inside feels like walking into a massive natural amphitheater. The temperature instantly drops, and you get a perfect frame looking back out over the canyon floor. Save this for your next Texas road trip!
