182. Rest Is Productive

What if rest wasn't something you had to earn, but something your business actually requires? In this episode Jillian is talking about rest. Not as a reward for hard work, but as a non-negotiable part of being your most powerful and productive self. If you've ever felt guilty for slowing down, told yourself you'd rest when things calmed down, or pushed through exhaustion because stopping felt irresponsible, this one is for you. In this episode: Why fighting against a tired body and mind is definitely not productive The difference between fatigue you create through your thinking and fatigue that comes from genuinely doing your best work Why continuing to push through is not sustainable and what it costs you How disempowering thoughts drain your energy just as much as overworking does What powerful thoughts about rest actually sound like and how to start practicing them Why rest isn't just allowed in entrepreneurship. It's required. Thoughts worth practicing from this episode: Rest isn't lazy. It's necessary. I am my best self when I have had enough rest. I trust myself to return to productivity after I have fully rested. I trust that my business is still working even when I am at rest. My body and mind are grateful for rest. Nature rests. I can too. I became an entrepreneur so that I could choose when to work, rest, and play. Ready to go deeper? This is the kind of mindset work we do inside Grow a Thriving Practice every single week. 181. How to Feel More Capable

Ever notice that no matter how long you've been doing this work, that voice still shows up? The one that says you're not enough, you didn't prepare enough, you're not going to be able to handle it? In this episode Jillian is recording from her car on the way to co-facilitate a women's retreat and she's sharing what's been happening in her mind in real time. The insecure thoughts are still showing up. They're just not very loud anymore. And the emotion attached to them? Almost gone. That's what capability work actually looks like. This one is off the cuff, conversational, and full of practical tools you can start using today. In this episode: Why self-doubt and insecurity show up even after 12 years and what it means when they do The difference between a thought your brain offers and a belief you actually hold Why your brain is always going to look for problems and how to redirect it without fighting it Two practical steps to start building real evidence for your own capability Why writing it down or saying it out loud is so much more powerful than keeping it in your head The reward system your brain uses and how to use it to your advantage What self-coaching in real time actually looks like in a flash moment of insecurity The two steps from this episode: One. Take inventory. Write down the ways you are already capable. The clients you've helped. The challenges you've navigated. The things you're proud of. You have to intentionally show your brain the evidence it's been ignoring. Two. Keep stretching. Do the things that feel a little uncomfortable. Coach yourself through them. Show your brain you can handle it and let it feel the reward of accomplishment on the other side. Special invitation: Jillian is hosting a free live masterclass, The Becoming: Your Breakthrough for a Thriving Practice, on Thursday May 28th at 8am Pacific. It's 90 minutes on Zoom and she'll be teaching her five-part framework for rewiring your brain toward belief, capability, and aligned action. There will be live coaching too so you can see the work in action. The recording will only be available for 48 hours so Jillian really encourages you to come live. And she has something special and rare to offer that you won't want to miss. It's free. Come ready to work. 👉 jillianfaldmo.com/thebecoming Connect with Jillian: 📸 Instagram: instagram.com/jillianfaldmo.coaching — @jillianfaldmo.coaching 📘 Facebook: facebook.com/jillianfaldmo — Jillian Faldmo, RN, Business & Life Coach Enjoying the podcast? ⭐ Leave a rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts 📲 Share this episode with a practitioner who needs to hear it The more you show yourself you're capable, the more your brain goes looking for reasons to believe it. 180. Self-Regulation and Mindset — Why You Need Both

Have you ever tried all the somatic tools, the breathwork, the embodiment practices and still felt like something wasn't working? You're not broken. There's just a missing piece. And that's what this episode is about. In this episode Jillian challenges one of the most common things she hears from practitioners — that mindset work doesn't work for them because they need a more body-based approach. The truth is, you can't do one without the other. And once you understand why, everything changes. In this episode: Why mindset work and body work are not opposites — they are partners The real reason your somatic tools sometimes don't work, and it has nothing to do with the tools Why you have to believe you're capable of self-regulating before your body can actually do it The old story that might be running in the background, and how to recognize it without identifying with it A personal story about shame, misunderstanding, and what it looks like to coach yourself through an intense emotional experience in real time Why there is a new identity available to you, one that moves through emotions and challenges in a more efficient and effective way The key insight from this episode: Your belief is louder than your practice. If you don't believe you're capable of regulating, no tool in the world will work. The mindset piece isn't separate from the embodiment work. It's what makes the embodiment work possible, and vice versa. Ready to go deeper? Jillian is hosting a free masterclass, Your Breakthrough Thriving Practice, on May 28th at 8am Pacific. She'll be teaching the five-part framework she uses to create new beliefs and make them a real reality. Not positive affirmations. Not fake it till you make it. This is about tapping into the wisdom that is already inside you so that excitement, joy, purpose, and connection become a part of your everyday experience in your life and in your business. It's free. 179. What Becomes Possible When You Use Your Mind Intentionally

Most practitioners have a complicated relationship with goal setting. Fear of failure. Perfectionism. The sting of past disappointment. But what if goal setting has nothing to do with any of that? In this episode Jillian reframes goals entirely — not as outcomes to chase, but as an invitation to become the next version of yourself. Plus: what she's been doing differently lately, why people keep asking her what's changed, and how her GATP members are getting the same results. 178. You Didn't Come This Far to Coast

You didn't come this far to coast. If you've reached a certain level in your practice and quietly decided that's as far as you go — this episode is going to challenge that. What happens when you're a gifted practitioner but you haven't fully stepped into being an entrepreneur? You coast. You drag. You wonder why growth feels like such a struggle — even when everything on paper looks fine. In this episode Jillian gets honest about hitting six figures and still feeling flat, what she did about it, and what became possible when she finally surrounded herself with people who believe in more. Plus: two ways to work with her if you're ready to stop doing it alone. In this episode: Why hitting your financial goal can still leave you feeling flat — and what that actually means The low-level fog that shows up when you stop listening to your own ambition The difference between ambition that comes from lack versus ambition that comes from an innate desire to grow and evolve Why Jillian can't ask you to do something she's not willing to do herself — and what she changed The client story that happened just yesterday — from dreading marketing to laughing about genius ideas in one week What it really means to embody both the practitioner AND the entrepreneur Why if you don't align those two identities, growth will either not happen or feel like a struggle Two ways to work with Jillian right now Grow a Thriving Practice — the membership This is for the practitioner who wants to embody the entrepreneur. You want more confidence. You want to be excited about the work you get to do — including the things you currently dread. Yes, it is possible to be excited to do those things. 177. Why We Self-Sabotage Just When Things Get Good

Have you ever noticed that just when things start going really well — opportunities open up, momentum builds, results start coming in — something inside you starts to pull back? You cancel a client. You get sick. You tell yourself it won't last. That's not weakness. That's capacity. And in this episode, we're talking about how to expand it. In this episode: The balloon analogy that explains exactly why success can feel so uncomfortable What's actually happening in your body when things start going well — and why your nervous system responds like it's a threat The two most common ways we unconsciously sabotage ourselves just when things get good A simple three-step practice — Pause, Allow, Embody — to help you stretch into the success you've been working so hard to build Why it is safe to be successful and live into your greatest potential The framework from this episode: Pause — let yourself actually feel what's coming up Allow — notice where it lives in your body and soften the edges of it Embody — let the success land This is the work. Not just the strategy and the action steps — but expanding your capacity to receive and hold the success you're building. Ready to go deeper? If this episode resonated, I'd love to support you in doing this work — both for yourself and for your clients. 🌿 Grow a Thriving Practice — my monthly group coaching membership includes weekly coaching, monthly Biofield Tuning sessions, and a community of practitioners doing exactly this work together. 🌿 1:1 Coaching — if you're ready for personalized support and want to move faster, let's work together one on one. 👉 Learn more and find the right fit for you at jillianfaldmo.com/workwithme

176. Why Talking About Your Work Feels So Hard

In this episode, I explore what’s really underneath the thought: “I don’t want to be salesy.” For many wellness practitioners, talking about their work isn’t just a strategy—it feels personal. Visibility can bring up fears of being misunderstood, rejected, or not chosen, which makes it hard to show up consistently. But what if marketing isn’t about selling at all? In this episode, I offer a more aligned way to think about visibility—one that feels grounded, supportive, and true to who you are. ✨ In this episode, we explore: Why talking about your work can feel so vulnerable What’s actually underneath the fear of being “salesy” A simple reframe that makes marketing feel more natural How to approach visibility from a place of service If you’re ready to talk about your work with more clarity and confidence—without feeling pushy—this episode will support you. 👉 Learn more about working together inside Grow a Thriving Practice:jillianfaldmo.com/workwithme

175. Burnout and Coming Back to Foundations

In this episode, I’m speaking to the practitioners who are fully booked… and completely burnt out. If you love your work but feel exhausted, overextended, or like you’ve hit a wall, this episode is for you. I share a personal story from late last year when I found myself burnt out with a full schedule—teaching, coaching, and seeing clients—with no space left to create what was next. Instead of walking away from my work, I made intentional changes to my business foundations: I restructured my schedule Created a dedicated “creation day” Raised my prices And redefined how I wanted my practice to feel Burnout isn’t always a sign that you’re in the wrong line of work. Sometimes it’s a sign that your business no longer fits who you’ve become. ✨ In this episode, I cover: The difference between being fully booked vs. sustainably booked Why burnout is often a structural issue, not a personal failure How to reassess your ideal schedule, clients, and income What it looks like to evolve your business as you grow If you’re ready to rebuild your practice in a way that supports your energy and your life, this is the work we do inside Grow a Thriving Practice: 👉 jillianfaldmo.com/workwithme

174. The Two Roles in Your Business

In this episode, I explore the two roles every wellness practitioner holds in their business: the practitioner and the entrepreneur. Most trainings teach us how to work on people, but very few teach what it takes to run a thriving practice. And the truth is, if the entrepreneur doesn’t create clients and build systems, the practitioner has no one to serve. I also connect this concept to the 5 Phases of Growth framework I introduced in Episode 172 — Cultivate, Nourish, Root, Bloom, and Harvest — and explain why the entrepreneur role is especially important in the Root phase, where we build the structure and systems that support sustainable growth. 173. Why an Online Scheduler is Foundational

In this episode, we’re focusing on the Root phase of growing a thriving practice — your systems and foundation. I share why an online scheduler is one of the most important structural tools you can implement, and how it supports: Easy client booking Automated confirmations and reminders Follow-up and review requests Package and gift certificate sales Clear scheduling boundaries Root is about creating containers that hold your growth.
