Sports were always in his blood as his father played for over a decade in the NFL. Despite having a true love for basketball, Robert went to Texas Christian University (TCU), where he played football. After college, he played for two teams in the NFL over three years. After a catastrophic knee injury, he realized that his professional playing days were behind him. Being a Grand Prairie resident at that time, he applied for GPPD, and the rest is history! He has been with the PD for 15 years now. Robert worked patrol for over five years and then transferred to become a School Resource Officer (SRO). He has been serving in that capacity at the various GPISD schools for around 10 years now.
