40th Anniversary Re-Release: Heaven Only Knows What You Might Find - The Music of TransFormers: The Movie
Five years ago, producer & host George Sirois released a five-part miniseries on this show, celebrating the 35th anniversary of TransFormers: The Movie. This week on Excelsior Journeys: The Road to Creativity, George has re-launched the third part of the miniseries to celebrate the 40th anniversary and upcoming re-release of the film. "Heaven Only Knows What You Might Find" features composer Vince DiCola telling about how his work on the music of Rocky IV led to him becoming a part of Hasbro History. PRODUCER'S NOTES: This episode was the second appearance for Vince DiCola on Excelsior Journeys: The Road to Creativity. The first one took place a year before, when he shared stories of how he started his journey as a musician, how working with Frank Stallone on the Sylvester Stallone-directed Staying Alive led to him co-writing the hit song "Far from Over," and how he would blow Stallone's mind with his demo recording of "Training Montage" and get the job composing the score to Rocky IV. This week's conversation acts as a Part 2 of an interview duology. Excelsior Journeys: The Road to Creativity exists primarily as a platform for creatives of all kinds (authors, filmmakers, stand-up comics, musicians, voice artists, painters, podcasters, etc) to share their journeys to personal success. It is very important to celebrate those voices as much as possible to not only provide encouragement to up-and-coming talent, but to say thank you to the established men & women for inspiring the current generation of artists. If you agree that the Excelsior Journeys podcast serves a positive purpose and would like to show your appreciation, you can give back to the show by clicking HERE.Excelsior Journeys: The Road to Creativity is now a proud member of the Podmatch Podcast Network, and you can access all shows in the network by clicking HERE.
