What It Takes to Unify the DraftKings Sports Experience

For years, DraftKings has launched industry-leading apps, including Pick6, Sportsbook, Casino, and Predictions. Now, we're bringing them together in one place. The DraftKings: Sports & Casino app is now home to our newest vertical: Predictions. The app continues to evolve to better reflect how fans engage with sports in the moment, with expanded pre-game and in-play stats, dedicated hubs for major sporting events, and an always-on Live tab that surfaces the action as it happens. With Predictions, it's more than sports; we also offer other markets, with availability varying by jurisdiction. This shift in strategy required teammates across Engineering, Product, Design, Analytics, and beyond to think bigger about how everything works together. A New Era of Lottery Innovation

What started with one dad's daily detour to the bodega became the spark for something bigger. Jackpocket's founder, Pete Sullivan, launched Jackpocket in 2013, digitalizing the lottery experience and creating a highly successful product. Fast-forward more than a decade, and Jackpocket customers can safely and securely order tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions, state lottery draw games, and scratch—off games from their phones. DraftKings acquired Jackpocket in May 2024. This acquisition opened up a new product category for DraftKings within a large and rapidly growing lottery courier vertical.
