Winning Starts With a Decision, Kelly Mallinson’s Mindset for Growth

What if the biggest obstacle to building a successful business isn't strategy, but the story you're telling yourself? In this episode, Blue Diamond leader Kelly Mallinson shares how a simple mindset shift helped her overcome discouragement, rebuild momentum, and continue growing her doTERRA business after nearly a decade in the profession. Listeners will learn practical strategies for enrolling customers, finding builders, following up effectively, hosting local events, and staying focused when results don't come as quickly as expected. Kelly opens up about her journey from stay-at-home mom and former psychiatric nurse to successful business leader. She shares how personal product experiences sparked her belief in the products, why action always beats overthinking, and how gratitude and mindset have played a critical role in her growth. If you've ever questioned whether you can build the business you want, this conversation will remind you that success often begins with a decision. Key Takeaways: Success starts with mindset. Your beliefs often determine your results before your strategy does. Consistent action is more important than endless learning. Income-producing activities create momentum. Follow-up matters. Many potential customers simply need additional touchpoints and conversations. Finding builders requires asking directly and creating opportunities for people to see what's possible. Why She Refused to Quit — Even When Her Entire Life Fell Apart

What happens when the business you built to protect your family becomes the very thing that holds you together when that family falls apart? In this episode, Andy Goddard sits down with Cachay Wyson, a doTERRA Blue Diamond with 16 years in the business, for one of the most honest and vulnerable conversations we've had on this show. Cachay shares how she built her business while hiding a pregnancy, quit and came back while racing to Blue Diamond in 28 days, and then watched her entire "why" collapse during a devastating divorce two years ago. Today she's rebuilding slowly, intentionally, and authentically, and she has a lot to say about what really matters. Whether you're just starting out, coming back after a hard season, or wondering why your leaders have gone quiet, this episode will remind you why your integrity is your greatest business asset.

You Were Made for More: Sherrie Ferrell on Resilience, Recovery, and doTERRA Success

Sherrie's journey into doTERRA was not a polished one. She stumbled into enrollment after buying a homemade roller bottle for her husband's allergies, could not find anyone willing to sign her up, and eventually paid $35 for a wholesale account thinking it was like a Sam's Club membership. With no oils, no upline support, and no computer, she taught her first class from handwritten notes she pulled together after Googling "how to teach a doTERRA class." What she lacked in knowledge she made up for in passion, and that passion is what built her business in the early years. The road to Blue Diamond was far from straight. Sherrie hit Gold, then toggled between Gold and Diamond for years while navigating a serious antibiotic reaction that affected her nervous system, the passing of a close Platinum leader on her team, and deep personal confidence struggles. She had never seen herself as a leader. The turning point came when she stopped and invested heavily in personal development through books, prayer, and growth programs before re-committing to the business with full clarity about who she was and what she was building. The systems that ultimately carried her to Blue Diamond are refreshingly simple. She runs customer appreciation events quarterly, uses a paper checklist to onboard every new enrollee, schedules the membership overview before anyone leaves the room, and runs a six-day Oil Camp program every other month to keep customers engaged and loyal. Her PGV has stayed above 2,000 consistently, a reflection of how seriously she takes retention over raw enrollment numbers. A few standout moments from this episode: Sherrie's first thought when she hit Diamond was "Oh no, I'm going to have to wear high heels now." She met a new builder at a customer appreciation event who had tried the business years earlier and came back, leading to her Diamond qualification. Her grandson's anxiety and OCD transformed after starting omegas, Adaptiv, and Serenity, which deepened her conviction about sharing these products with others. A few resources mentioned in this episode: The Live Guide, which Sherrie uses as the foundation for her membership overviews, can be purchased at doterra.com or downloaded for free. And if you are ready to build your own Oil Camp experience, the original template and step-by-step setup guide is available at Oil Camp Academy. From Crisis to Presidential Diamond: How Emotional Breakthroughs Built a Thriving doTERRA Business

Are you building your business from a script you've mastered, or from the message that actually lights you up? In this episode, we sit down with Presidential Diamond Cherie Burton, a founding member of the Essential Emotions team who has spent 17+ years at the intersection of psychology, emotional science, and essential oils. Cherie's story isn't a straight line to the top. It's a journey through burnout, FDA compliance challenges, personal loss, and the kind of deep inner work that ultimately became her greatest business asset. Cherie shares why she walked away from the "go, go, go" hustle model to build something more sustainable and more powerful, centered on the Breakthrough Circle. We dive into the mental health crisis that is reshaping what people are hungry for, why essential oils are literal pattern interrupters at a chemical and spiritual level, and how a free, duplicatable gathering model is opening hearts and creating enrollment in a way that a standard oils class simply cannot anymore. We also unpack the principle that changed everything for Andy and Cherie both: do what lights your soul, but teach what duplicates. Whether you are a new builder looking for a fresh way to introduce oils or a seasoned leader who has been feeling flat in your business, this conversation will remind you that the most powerful thing you can bring to your team is not a perfected script. It is your own ongoing, messy, real healing journey. Join us every Wednesday at 8:30am MT you can join Andy as he talks with top builders from around the globe to shine a light on the very best tips, tools, and mindset shifts to reach your goals. Building a True Legacy: Felicia Uhm’s Path to Long-Term doTERRA Success

Are you working hard to build a legacy that isn't actually yours? In this episode, Felicia Uhm shares the "big shock" she experienced when she realized that her years of traditional business building were creating wealth for a company, but leaving nothing for her own family. Everything changed when she discovered a business model designed around shared growth and true personal sovereignty. Felicia pulls back the curtain on her "Posture of Service" approach to leadership—where she treats a higher power as her CEO and views every conversation as an opportunity to listen to someone’s pain points. You’ll hear why she calls this business "personal development with a comp plan attached," and how she uses the brilliance of doTERRA’s shared pools to build a future that belongs to her. If you’ve ever felt like you were "broken" or just a cog in someone else's machine, Felicia’s journey will show you how to reclaim your power, partner with a higher vision, and build a legacy that actually lasts. 2-3 Hours a Day is All You Need to Grow doTERRA (Here's How this Homeschool Mom Does It)

"I don't have enough time to grow a business." It’s the number one reason people hesitate to start their doTERRA journey. But what if you could build a thriving organization in the "cracks" of your day?  In this episode, we sit down with Tammi, a homeschooling mom who balances 16 hours of teaching a week with a growing doTERRA leadership role. Tammi pulls back the curtain on how she manages to stay consistent by dedicating just two focused hours a day to her business.  You’ll hear about the powerful mindset shift from "salesperson" to "leader" and why taking messy, imperfect action is always better than waiting for the "perfect" moment. Whether you are a busy parent, a professional, or someone feeling stuck in your comfort zone, Tammi’s story will show you that action kills fear and that your biggest breakthroughs are waiting just outside your comfort zone.  In this episode, you’ll discover:  The "Work in the Cracks" philosophy for maximum productivity.  Why the "Unplugged" event model is the key to simple duplication.  How to use the 40/30/30 rule to tell stories that capture hearts and minds.  The spiritual side of leadership: Moving forward in faith even when it’s scary.
