About the show

We teach Creatives, Entrepreneurs & Change-makers to ignite community transformations. Success can come from anyone: Our mission is simple. Empower the future leaders of our community. There are individuals who grew up thinking that they won't amount much because of where they came from and their background. We think differently. There is strength in our past, and we celebrate the unique traits that each person brings. We empower all the talent in our community to see their true potential, dream higher, and achieve success whatever that looks like to them. As Dr. Seuss puts it, “You can’t judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree” but give that fish an ocean and watch it swim past the horizon. The Why: We are only as strong as the weakest member of our community. We believe in empowering the youth with education, resources, advocacy, and love so that they can lift our community up and make it stronger. We win when they win. We are here to redefine communities, and nothing is going to stop us.

#220 - A Moment of Pain, a Lifetime of Glory | Be A Wolf - Sessions | Nayzel Sushil

Send us Fan Mail Every win has a price — and it's rarely paid alone. In this episode, Nayz breaks down why the hardest moments aren't obstacles to success, they're the entry fee for it — and why no version of "glory" is ever really a solo story. This week on Be a Wolf: Why pain isn't punishment — it's the cost of admission The truth behind every "solo" win: who's really carrying the weight Why isolation stretches suffering, and the right people around you shorten it What real leadership looks like when your team is in the hard part If you've ever felt like the pain was pointless, this episode reframes it — and challenges you to name the people who got you through it. 🐺 Be a Wolf — perseverance, possibility, and unconventional success. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #219 - Team building & Culture | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Most founders talk about culture like it's something you build in an office, over coffee, in the hallway. But what happens when your whole team is remote and subcontracted — spread across Melbourne, Auckland, and the Pacific? In this episode, Nayz breaks down what happened when Feature's team sat down to talk honestly about culture: what's working, what's not, and the real commitments that came out of it. This one's for anyone building a team that isn't in one room — freelancers, remote-first founders, or anyone who's been told "culture doesn't scale" and refused to believe it. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #218 - Why You Never Actually Lose Possibility? | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Why You Never Actually Lose Possibility (alt: "Possibility Doesn't Die — It Goes Dormant") Show notes: This week on May It Be A Wolf, we talk about possibility — and the lie that you can lose it. You don't. Not really. What actually happens is quieter: you stop asking what's possible for you and start outsourcing that answer to comfort, other people's fear disguised as advice, and years of small "no's" you told yourself. The wolf doesn't lose its instinct in captivity — it goes dormant, waiting for the moment it's needed again. Same with you. This episode is about recognizing that whatever felt possible five years ago, ten years ago, the version of you who believed it is still in there. Nothing was lost. It's just buried under bills, comfort, and other people's timelines. We talk about what buries it, what excavates it, and one practical shift you can make this week to start using that muscle again before it forgets how to move. Key talking points: Possibility isn't a feeling — it's a muscle. It atrophies through disuse, not through some dramatic loss. The wolf metaphor: instinct doesn't disappear in captivity, it goes dormant. Same mechanism applies to you. What actually kills perceived possibility: comparison, comfort, and other people's fear dressed up as "realistic" advice. The reframe: you didn't lose it, you buried it — which means it's still there to dig up. Close with a challenge tied to Be a Wolf identity — a small daily action that starts re-exercising the muscle this week. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #217 - Future Demand, Present Freedom | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail This week on May It Be A Wolf, we're talking about future demand — and why chasing only the couples ready to book this week means missing everyone who hasn't even started looking yet. Three things to sit with: The demand you see today is old news. Every inquiry landing in your inbox right now was decided months ago — shaped by content, trust, and relationships you built long before they reached out. What you build for "someday" compounds. A guide, a resource, a piece of content made for the couple who isn't ready yet keeps working long after you've moved on to the next thing — it doesn't stop the second you stop pushing it. Future demand is pricing power. When your pipeline isn't running on scramble, you don't have to discount or say yes to everyone. You get to hold your rate and choose who you work with. If you're only building for the demand you can see, you're always one slow month away from panic. This episode is about playing the longer game. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #216 - Slow Down to Go Further: Why Space Creates Better Ideas |

Send us Fan Mail This week on May It Be A Wolf, we talk about time and space — and why they're not the enemy of progress, they're the source of it. It's easy to think persistence means constant motion, always go-go-go. But the best ideas rarely show up mid-sprint. They show up in the gaps — the walk, the pause, the room you give yourself to actually think. This episode is about protecting that space on purpose, and trusting that slowing down isn't falling behind — it's how you build something that lasts. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #215: "The Art of Preparation" — Be A Wolf Sessions with Nayzel

Send us Fan Mail Episode #215: "The Art of Preparation" — Be A Wolf Sessions with Nayzel The best closers in the room aren't the smoothest talkers — they're the most prepared people in it. What looks like natural confidence is almost always yesterday's homework showing up on time. In this episode, Nayzel breaks down preparation as the real competitive edge in sales and business — not hustle, not charisma, but the invisible work done before anyone's watching. From researching a lead before the call, to mentally preparing for rejection before it happens, to understanding why calm in the room is a rehearsed outcome rather than a personality trait, this episode reframes preparation as the quiet skill behind every "lucky" win. It's the natural follow-up to "The Art of Patient Selling" — because patience only works when you've done the prep to back it up. In This Session: Why the "invisible hours" before a pitch matter more than the pitch itself A simple pre-call research checklist to steal How to map objections and script responses before you're in the room Why "no" is data, not defeat — and how prepared people hold their ground The psychology of why calm reads as competence to buyers Reframing confidence as a rehearsal outcome, not a personality trait Key Takeaway: "The calm you show in the room is just yesterday's preparation showing up on time." Closing Quote: "Preparation is what lets patience feel powerful instead of passive." — Nayzel 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #214 - The Art of Patient Selling | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Not every lead that goes quiet is a lost client. Some people aren't a no — they're a not yet. In this session, Nayzel breaks down one of the most misunderstood parts of sales: knowing the difference between a lead who's gone and a lead who just needs more time. Most founders and creatives panic when someone goes quiet, start chasing out of fear, and end up pushing away the very person who was about to say yes. This episode is about mastering the art of staying present without applying pressure — and understanding that the best clients come to you when they're ready, not when you need the booking. In This Session: Why silence doesn't always mean rejection The difference between a no and a not yet Why chasing from scarcity backfires every time How to stay top of mind without being pushy Letting the client's timeline lead the process How to keep the door open without leaving your pipeline in limbo Why how you respond when they come back matters more than you think Key Takeaway: Patient selling isn't passive. It's strategic. The founders who win long term aren't the ones who close the fastest — they're the ones who build enough trust that people come back on their own. "The right client will find their way back to you. Your job is to make sure the door was never slammed shut." – Nayzel Sushil 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #213 - The Distance Between Then and Now | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Episode 213 opens in stillness — not the kind that signals a slow day, but the kind that only comes when you've actually earned something. This week it's about the pause before the next leap. Nayz gets into the practice of deep presence: what it means to actually stop , look back down the mountain, and let yourself feel the distance covered before you sprint to the next peak. From there the conversation opens up into the big ideas — the next moves, the next ventures, what the future of the brand could be. But the throughline holds: you can't build what's next with real conviction unless you know, bone-deep, how far you've already come. The hustle culture lie is that reflection is wasted time. This episode argues the opposite — that presence is the fuel. It's equal parts gratitude session and strategy room. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #212 - Lower Barriers, Higher Standards: Why Better Tools Don't Build Better Businesses | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Technology is making it easier than ever to enter the creative industry — but easier entry doesn't equal better outcomes. In this session, we break down why lowering the barrier to entry is a double-edged sword: yes, you can get started faster and produce work more efficiently, but none of that guarantees your business will grow. What actually moves the needle is your ability to build genuine trust and real connection with the people you serve. Tools evolve. Relationships are the differentiator. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers.
