About the show

We teach Creatives, Entrepreneurs & Change-makers to ignite community transformations. Success can come from anyone: Our mission is simple. Empower the future leaders of our community. There are individuals who grew up thinking that they won't amount much because of where they came from and their background. We think differently. There is strength in our past, and we celebrate the unique traits that each person brings. We empower all the talent in our community to see their true potential, dream higher, and achieve success whatever that looks like to them. As Dr. Seuss puts it, “You can’t judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree” but give that fish an ocean and watch it swim past the horizon. The Why: We are only as strong as the weakest member of our community. We believe in empowering the youth with education, resources, advocacy, and love so that they can lift our community up and make it stronger. We win when they win. We are here to redefine communities, and nothing is going to stop us.

#230 - Belief Is a Result, Not a Requirement | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Most people wait to believe in themselves before they start. In Session 230, Nayz flips that. Belief isn’t what gets you moving; it’s what you earn by moving. From one camera to 500+ projects, from session 1 to 230 Mondays straight, the confidence came from the reps. He also introduces Garage Dreams, a new reel series filmed on his driveway, built on the idea that every dream starts from a garage. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #229 - Energy Sells, Desperation Repels | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail In this session, Nayz breaks down why energy is the silent closer in every sales conversation. Drawing on over a decade of selling wedding photography and film across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, he unpacks the skill of reading desperation, in the buyer and in yourself, and how to bring real energy into the room without tipping into neediness. Desperation pushes; conviction pulls. This episode is about learning the difference and choosing the right one every time. In this episode Why energy gets felt before your offer is understood Desperation as a signal: how to spot it in a client (urgency, pressure, a problem they need solved) and use it to serve them better Desperation as a leak: how your own need for the sale shows up in your tone, pace, over-explaining and discounting The difference between hungry and needy: hunger is about the outcome, neediness is about the approval How to bring high energy that stays grounded: belief in the work, curiosity about the person, and the willingness to walk away Why the wolf doesn’t chase every rabbit, and why choosing your clients makes you more attractive to the right ones Practical resets before a sales call to make sure you show up full, not empty Key takeaway Understand the other person’s urgency, but never let it become yours. Bring energy that says “I believe in this,” not “I need this.” 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #228 - Etiquette Is a Skill: The Small Things That Win or Lose Relationships | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail Business etiquette rarely gets talked about, and that's the problem. It's invisible when it's done well, so most people take it for granted, right up until it costs them a client, a referral, or a relationship. In this episode of Be a Wolf Sessions, Nayz breaks down why etiquette is a skill you practise, not a personality trait you're born with. How you respond, how you interact, and how you make people feel are small things on their own, but together they decide whether people come back to you or quietly drift away. Then we go a level deeper: social nuance. Reading the room, understanding who you're dealing with, and adjusting to the environment you're in. Get it right and you build relationships that last years. Get it wrong and you can lose them without ever knowing why. In this episode: Why etiquette is a learned skill, and why it gets overlooked The three basics: how you respond, how you interact, how you make people feel Reading the room and adapting to different environments and cultures How relationships are really lost: quietly, not loudly A simple challenge to sharpen your etiquette this week New episodes every Monday. If this one landed, share it with someone who's building something. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #227 - Lead With Outcomes, Not Problems | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail How you open a conversation often decides how it ends. In this episode of Be a Wolf Sessions, Nayz explains why leading with outcomes instead of problems changes how people respond to you, whether you're leading a team, working with clients, or building personal relationships. If you start with the problem, people can hear it as conflict or criticism, and they get defensive before you've finished making your point. If you start with the outcome and walk people through the reasoning behind how you do things, they understand where you're going and why. That understanding is what earns their buy-in. In this episode: Why problem-first conversations often come across as conflict How framing around outcomes builds trust and alignment in a team Why showing your reasoning matters as much as the decision itself Practical ways to reframe hard conversations so people lean in rather than push back If this one landed, share it with someone on your team, or with anyone who has a hard conversation coming up. 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #226 - "Say It Like You Believe It" | Conviction in Ideas, Business & Action | Nayzel Sushil - Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail In this session, Nayzel Sushil makes the case that messaging matters more than anything else in business, because messaging is how conviction travels from you to everyone else. He breaks conviction into three parts: what you believe about your ideas, how it shows up in the way you run your business, and how your actions make your message believable. If you've been softening your pricing, hedging your pitch or changing direction every time someone pushes back, this episode is for you. In This Session Why messaging is how conviction gets from your head to another person Conviction in ideas: the one-sentence, no-hedging test Why most people don't lack ideas, only a stress-tested belief in them Conviction in business: how positioning and pricing carry your message Where conviction quietly leaks: apologising, discounting on the spot, over-explaining Why diluting your message to appeal to everyone gets you ignored by everyone Conviction in action: why messaging without follow-through is just marketing How consistency builds belief, one rep at a time The one message to stop softening this week Key Takeaway Conviction isn't volume or arrogance. It's clarity you're willing to stand behind, in what you say, in how you run your business and in what you do next. Closing Quote "Clarity gets attention. Conviction gets the yes." – Nayzel Sushil Sponsors 📖 Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up: Building a Business That Outlasts You – Nayzel's book on building a business that runs beyond its founder. #225 - When to Kill the Old You | Be A Wolf - Sessions with Nayzel Sushil

Send us Fan Mail In this episode, Nayzel breaks away from the sales arc to tackle a harder question: not how to change, but when . Every identity — the hustler, the perfectionist, the "nice guy," the grinder — has a shelf life. The problem isn't that people refuse to evolve; it's that they miss the signals telling them the version of themselves that got them here won't get them there. Using Kobe Bryant's deliberate retirement of the Black Mamba persona. In This Session: Why "change" isn't the hard part — timing is Signal #1: Effort/result mismatch — when the same work stops producing the same returns Signal #2: Performing, not being — catching yourself acting out of habit and reputation instead of truth Signal #3: Outgrowing the room — why being the most "you" in every room is a warning, not a win Kobe Bryant's deliberate retirement of Black Mamba as a case study in choosing your ending 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #224 - Why People Can't Stop Talking About the Things They Love | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail This week on Be a Wolf, I'm chatting through Contagious by Jonah Berger — such a fun read on why some things get talked about everywhere while others just... don't. Turns out it's not random at all. There's a real, feel-good pattern behind why people can't help but share the things they love, and once you see it, you start noticing it everywhere — including in your own business. In this episode: The six fun triggers behind why we share (STEPPS): Social Currency, Triggers, Emotion, Public, Practical Value, Stories Why making someone feel like an insider is way more powerful (and way cheaper) than a discount The happy science behind why excitement and joy spread faster than almost anything else How something as simple as being "visible" turns one happy client into free marketing Why a great story travels further than any sales pitch ever could How I'm taking these ideas and using them to make the whole Feature experience more shareable 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #223 - Stay Excited: Learning How to Love the Process (Good and Bad) | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail After 223 episodes, one thing keeps coming back around: the excitement doesn't stay automatic — you have to keep learning how to protect it. In this episode, I talk about what it actually looks like to stay excited about the work you do, especially once the novelty wears off and it just becomes... your life. I get into why learning to have fun is its own skill, not something that just happens if you're doing well enough. And I talk honestly about the good and the bad — because staying in love with what you do means learning from both, not just chasing the wins and avoiding the losses. In this episode: Why excitement fades and what to do when it does Treating "having fun" as a skill you build, not a mood you wait for What the good days actually teach you (and what they don't) What the bad days teach you that the good days can't 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #222 - Pressure Is Contagious....So Is Calm | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail As a founder, the pressure never really stops — deadlines, clients, cash flow, the weight of decisions that ripple through your whole team. But here's the thing nobody tells you early on: your team doesn't just feel the pressure, they feel your response to it. In this episode, I break down why the energy you carry into a room is one of the most underrated leadership tools you have, how stress leaks into culture whether you mean it to or not, and the practical shifts I've had to make to lead steady even when things aren't. In this episode: Why pressure is inevitable but panic is optional — and your team can't tell the difference unless you show them The "energy leak" — how founders unconsciously pass stress down the chain without saying a word Real moments from running Feature where I had to choose my energy on purpose, not by default How to separate processing pressure privately from performing pressure publicly Simple habits for resetting before you walk into a shoot, a team call, or a hard conversation Why calm isn't the same as checked out — and how to stay honest about hard moments without spiraling the room 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers. #221 - The Blueprint of Love | Nayzel Sushil | Be A Wolf - Sessions

Send us Fan Mail When compassion meets a broken soul, something sacred happens — you catch a glimpse of the blueprint God wrote into every person. In this episode of Be a Wolf, Nayz explores brokenness not as weakness but as exposure — the place where real connection and healing begin. Drawing on the wolf-pack instinct to protect the wounded, this session is a call to see people the way they were designed to be seen, and to ask: who in your life is broken right now, and what would it look like to show up for them? 📖 Episode Sponsored by: https://nayzvswild.com/product/start-up-scale-up-grow-up/ Start-Up, Scale-Up, Grow-Up — a raw, real, and practical guide for founders, creatives, and changemakers.
