After nearly 20 years as a sales and sports-technology executive, Melyssa Jaskiewicz read one statistic on a flight home — only 24% of C-suite executives are women, and 94% of them played sports. From this she decided to leave her career and she became the founder of Leveling the Fields, a Charleston nonprofit removing the cost, options, and access barriers that keep girls out of sports. Ep62 Control by Design, Not by Accident: Ownership, Succession & Exit Planning

In Episode 62, I sit down with attorney and founder strategist Scherrie L. Prince — host of the Play Big Faster Podcast — for a candid conversation about what it truly takes to protect a business you’ve worked hard to build. Scherrie advises entrepreneurs and closely held companies at the intersection of business strategy and estate design, and she makes a compelling case that these two disciplines should never live in separate files.
