Good Enough-FOR THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS

In this solo episode of Yellow Soul, Juliette speaks straight to the hearts of sons and daughters who wonder if they’re really “enough” for this life and for God. Romans 8 shares with us, it's the spirit of religious duty, not love, that leads us back into the fear of never being good enough.  If you’ve ever felt unseen, overlooked, or like you don’t quite measure up spiritually, this conversation is for you. I slow down and talk about what true intimacy with God looks like, why your worth is not tied to your performance, and how God already sees you as deeply loved, chosen, and special. You’ll be invited out of striving and comparison, and into a quieter, truer place of being known by God. In this episode, we explore: What intimacy with God actually is (beyond checking spiritual boxes) Why “good enough” is a lie that keeps you distant from God’s heart How God sees you as a beloved son or daughter right now, not someday Simple practices to grow closer to God in your everyday life How to bring your real thoughts, doubts, and emotions to God honestly The difference between religious pressure and relational closeness Scriptures to reflect on Psalm 139:1–4, 13–14 – You are fully known and wonderfully made 3 John 1:2 – God cares about the well-being of your soul Romans 8:14–16 – You are a child of God, led by His Spirit 1 Peter 5:7 – You can cast your cares on Him because He cares for you Ephesians 2:10 – You are God’s workmanship, created on purpose Take time after the episode to sit with one of these verses and ask God:“Show me how You see me. Show me how You delight in me as Your as your son or daughter.” Questions for reflection Where have you believed you’re “not enough” for God? What would change if you really trusted that you are fully seen and fully loved? What is one small way you can make space for God’s presence in your week? Connect & share If this episode speaks to you, share it with another son or daughter who needs to be reminded of their worth. And if you’re ready to keep growing in intimacy with God, make sure you subscribe to Yellow Soul so you don’t miss future episodes. Thank you for being here!

In The Middle of Stuck

What do you do when you’re standing in the middle of a war you didn’t choose and a wilderness you don’t understand? In this episode, we enter the honest space of discussing what do when you're feeling stuck and still choosing to stand by faith. Anchored in **Ezekiel 37:1–2**, we explore what it means to look at the “valley of dry bones” in our own lives and name how barren it feels, without pretending it’s fine or rushing to fix it. If you’re tired, confused, or in a very real war (inside or out) and wondering how to keep believing, this conversation is for you.  Ezekiel 37:1–2 (NIV) “The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.” We encourage you to journal or take some notes with us: 1. “the middle of stuck” - Describe what “the middle of your stuck” feels like: disoriented, exhausted, no clear map. - Normalize that even people of deep faith experience this. - Are you tempted to either numb out or over-spiritualize pain instead of being honest? 2. Walking through the valley with Ezekiel (Ezekiel 37:1–2) - God doesn’t rush Ezekiel past the valley; He sets him **in the middle** of it. - The bones are “very dry”: this can point us to a long-term disappointment, not a fresh wound. - How God sometimes invites us to **see clearly** what’s broken before He speaks life to it. - Reflection: “Where are the dry-bone places in your life right now?” 3. What it looks like to stand by faith in a war zone: - Faith is not denying reality; it’s choosing where you anchor your trust. - Practical ways to “stand” when you feel like collapsing: - Say one honest prayer: “God, I don’t see it, but I choose to stay with You here” - Do one small act of obedience or care today (call, rest, ask for help) - Write one truth you hold onto when your feelings shout the opposite - Describe the difference between faith as performance vs. faith as relationship. 4. Holding on without having it all together (Hebrews 10:23 TPT): - “Cling tightly to the hope that lives within us” when everything outside feels shaky. - The focus is not our grip, but the **faithfulness of the One** who promised. - How to let this verse meet you in the middle of anxiety, grief, or confusion. - Take a moment with God to imagine what it looks like to cling to hope just for **today**, not forever. Friend, remember today that dry bones are seen, known, and not the end of our story! “God, You see every valley, every battlefield, every place in us that feels like dry bones. We bring You the parts of our stories that feel lost, delayed, or too far gone. Teach us how to stand by faith when we don’t feel strong, and help us cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, because You always keep Your promises. Breathe Your Spirit into the dry places, and remind us today that this is not the end. In Jesus’ name, amen.” 1. After this episode, take a moment to name one ‘dry-bone’ area in your life. Write it down, and then write Hebrews 10:23: “So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!” (TPT) under it. Let that be your quiet act of standing by faith in the middle of stuck.2. If this resonated with your own valley or war, share this episode with someone else who feels lost right now. We are praying for you!3. If you want more honest conversations about faith in the middle, not just at the finish line, make sure you’re subscribed to Yellow Soul so you're the first to know when new episodes are released!  Thank you for being here!  Follow us on Instagram! @juliettemarhoferdugger and @britalbinart

Active Hope & Deep Trust

When life gets hard, “just stay positive” can feel more frustrating than helpful. In this episode of Yellow Soul, Juliette and Brit sit with the tension of the desire to trust God while also acknowledging the humanness of feeling tired, discouraged, or unsure of what’s actually being “worked together for good". What do you do when it’s hard to stay hopeful? Today we sit with Philippians 1:6 and talk honestly about active hope, deep trust, and what it means to believe God is still at work when you feel unfinished, behind, or worn out. This is an honest invitation to remember: the One who began a good work in you has not walked away, lost count, or changed His mind. He is for you and He loves you unconditionally and endlessly. If you’re in a season where hope feels fragile, this conversation is for you. Philippians 1:6“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (put the finishing touches to your life) until the day of Christ Jesus.” The crisis of remaining hopeful The quiet, very human crisis: “I want to believe, but I’m tired.” How spiritual clichés can make discouragement feel like failure. Making space to be honest about disappointment, delay, and uncertainty. What Philippians 1:6 actually promises (and doesn’t) This verse is about God’s faithfulness to complete, not our ability to perform. “He who began” means: you are not a self‑started, self‑sustained project. It doesn’t promise a neat, quick timeline or a pain‑free story. God plays the long-game of wholenesss...He will never leave us or forsake us because He gave us Jesus.  Active hope vs. passive waiting Passive waiting: checking out, numbing, or spiritually “drifting.” Active hope: small, grounded choices that say, “I believe You’re still at work.” Examples of active hope: showing up to prayer when you feel nothing taking the next right step with what you already know letting others see your struggle instead of hiding it Deep trust in the middle, not the finish line Most of life is lived in the “in‑between” of beginning and completion. Trusting God with unfinished places: relationships, healing, calling, identity. Learning to see progress differently: not “fixed” vs. “broken” but “being formed.” -At the end of this episode, we encourage you to take a moment to journal and write down one area of your life that feels unfinished or hard to hope for. Next to it, write Philippians 1:6. Let this be your quiet reminder this week that you are not carrying this story alone. -If this episode met you in a hard place, comment and share it with someone who needs to remember they’re still in process, not a lost cause. Your story is still being written!  We're so glad you're here!  Find us on Instagram: @juliettemarhoferdugger and @britalbinart

Groundtable Part 4 "Is Community For Me?"

Welcome to the New Season of Groundtable 2025! We are kicking off this year with a brand new series "Is Community For Me?" Enjoy this last episode in this series- Part 4 of the convo!! That's a wrap and it's a super powerful one! We hope you've gained some helpful tools and Biblical insight and vulnerable commentary, human to human, that's provided you with encouragement to seek community for yourself! Allowing ourselves to share, to love, and invite others in allows our capacity for generosity to expand! Building community takes time, effort, risk, trust, and intention... and it's worth it! God loves you, sees you, and desires the best outcome possible! Brit and I share moments in the episode of pivotal moments which transformed us as we chose community over remaining in lies that kept us trapped and isolated! These are short episodes to strengthen your resolve to not do life alone. The word "community" seems to compel us or repel us. We seem to either run to or away from it. Maybe we've never experienced healthy community or we've never experienced community period. Then, there's the last option. We've had an amazing experience and we will never stop seeking it for ourselves. Unfortunately the "amazing experience" seems few and far between for many. Brit and I talk about what it looks like and what it takes to create and cultivate authentic community and a heart posture towards inviting this into our lives. The truth is that it takes both of us to make it work. Community is preferring, loving, and trusting others while releasing unrealistic expectations of perfection to discover true connection. It's hard to know where to begin! We pray our weekly conversations inspire you to pursue healthy community for the rest of your life. We truly can do and build life together when we decide this is an invitation to do so!   Connect with us on Instagram: Brit Albin: https://www.instagram.com/britalbinart Juliette Dugger: https://www.instagram.com/juliettemarhoferdugger

Groundtable Part 2 "Is Community For Me?"

Welcome to the New Season of Groundtable 2025! We are kicking off this year with a brand new series "Is Community For Me?" Enjoy this episode- Part 2 of the convo!!  Allowing ourselves to be known and loved by God and others creates space in our heart to be vulnerable with Him and our community. Knowing our emotions are God-given and they are indicators, but they are not dictators! God loves you, sees you, and desires the best outcome possible! Brit shares a heavy moment with us when her prayer to God became, "Lord, I know in the deepest sense it's going to be okay, but I need you to hold my heart. Will you just hold me?"  These are short episodes to strengthen your resolve to not do life alone. The word "community" seems to compel us or repel us. Welcome to Season 4 of Yellow Soul! Our first episode of 2025 with Artist, Haleigh Kellam! Our conversation today felt perfectly simple and sacred. Haleigh just released her brand new Album, Journal 3. On Spotify she says, "Everything you'll find here was recorded on my iPhone voice memos at times when I knew I needed to remember what I was singing. God has been very real to me. If you decide anything here, I hope it's that He is a real man with thoughts and feelings towards you that are kind and gentle."  In our time together today with Haleigh shares insight from her childhood, how she fell in love with God, her music journey, and why her Voice Memos Between Friends made their way into what she refers to as "Journals" and I promise it will also make it's way into your heart like it did mine.  Thanks for listening! The Power of Cultivating Community with Joshua Lee Flowers, Michael Davis, and Ladarius Robinson

In today's episode I'm joined by a returning guest, singer and songwriter, Joshua Lee Flowers, along with two of his best friends, Michael Davis and Ladarius Robinson. We take a deep dive into the pathway of humility, honesty, and vulnerability in their lives. Joshua leads us into our conversation today as he shares the cry of his heart for a deeper community, "Lord, I really need a community of men who love God because I'm really struggling here." All three men share pivots and tipping points in their journey as followers of Jesus and as friends. Today, we discuss community, family dynamics, vulnerability, and the culture of honor they've cultivated. All three men share their origin stories, how they intentionally built community, and what it takes to invest in building each other up. Ladarius shares a point in his story that he decided to work on himself and how that impacted his relationships. The guys share what being "in process" means to them and how the beauty is found by not proving themselves or attempting to earn his love. Michael decided, "I gotta change something." He declared he was agnostic in high school and then, through a series of events, began to reconsider his decision. And apparently Joshua 'Julio' the 4th man needs to come back and join us! Joshua, Michael, and Ladarius encourage us to not be afraid to ask questions and seek God's face and He will continue to work and bring us closer to His Son, Jesus, until the day of completion. God does His part and we do ours! Scripture References: Philippians 1:6, Philippians 2:13 We’re thrilled you’re here!  Cheers! Juliette Connect with Juliette: All Things Here! Living With A Settled Soul Series (4) Groundtable {The Origin Stories}

Welcome to our Groundtable Series “Living With A Settled Soul” In this last episode of the Groundtable series we are continuing to explore the concept of living a peace-aligned life. It encourages listeners to dive into the Scriptures to create a life of freedom and inner peace. The episode discusses what a peace-aligned life looks like, including living in harmony with God, oneself, others, and the world around us. It also emphasizes the power of choosing disciplines and rhythms in life to break free from cycles of worry, anxiety, and stress. The episode aims to inspire listeners to seek a deep sense of inner peace, contentment, and purpose through the Scriptures. Episode 1: Weariness and Taking A Step Episode 2: Digging deep & Choosing To Never Give Up Episode 3: Finding Joy vs. Happiness In The Journey & Cultivating The Joy Episode 4: Digging Deep No Matter What & Deciding No Matter What Living With A Settled Soul: Podcast Episode Summary Living in harmony with God, yourself, others, and the world around you. Knowing you have the power to choose disciplines and rhythms in your life to get unstuck from cycles and patterns of constant worry, anxiety, and stress. Having a deep sense of inner peace and contentment. Being able to handle life's challenges with grace and ease. Living a life of purpose and meaning. Making a positive impact on the world. When we consider creating a life we love, consider the Scriptures tell us, “When we know the truth, it sets us free.” Freedom is a state of being able to act or choose without constraint. It is the ability to live one's life without being subject to external control or interference. There are many different types of freedom, including: Physical freedom: The ability to move around and do what you want without being physically restricted. Mental freedom: The ability to think and believe what you want without being constrained by external forces. Emotional freedom: The ability to feel and express your emotions without being controlled by them. Spiritual freedom: The ability to connect with your inner self and experience a sense of peace and well-being. Freedom is essential for a fulfilling and meaningful life. It allows us to grow and develop as individuals, and to make our own choices about how we want to live. How can you begin to increase freedom in your life: Set boundaries: Learn to say no to things that you don't want to do. Take risks: Step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. Be yourself: Don't be afraid to express your true self, even if it's different from what others expect. Live in the present moment: Don't dwell on the past or worry about the future. Focus on enjoying the present moment. Be grateful: Take time each day to appreciate the good things in your life. Help others: Give back to your community and make a difference in the world. Freedom enters in where Truth becomes the anchor! Remember it's when we KNOW the Truth that we are set free! This is why God encourages us in His Word to renew our minds and if we choose that as our daily discipline, this becomes a rhythm. Our lifelong journey to wholeness is not designed to be lived in isolation. Although life can be lonely at times, we are never alone. Jesus promised to NEVER leave us or forsake us and He is faithful to provide others who reflect His love throughout our lives. We have found a fulfilling life is one that is lived in a life-giving community with others. On that note, we encourage our listeners to grab a friend and invite them to join the conversation with you!    Hang out with us as we share insight around our personal lives, offer imagery to envision a different future for yourself, and challenge you through many lenses to see the endless possibilities God offers. As promised in previous episodes, we also go into Erwin Raphael McManus's new book, Mind Shift "It Doesn't Take A Genius To Think Like One" The profound and accessible wisdom and guidance he provides is unprecedented. We encourage you to grab a copy of his book today to follow along with us in this series! We’re thrilled you’re here! Join us next week on Friday for our first conversation in this series!  Cheers!
