Caroline Gibb on Grief, Chronic Pain, and an Unpredictable Body
Caroline Gibb is a Community Development Lead working in palliative care, supporting individuals and communities through dying, caring, and grief. In this conversation, she talks with Dani about what it means to hold emotionally demanding work while living with chronic illness and pain. The conversation is also about a body that behaves unpredictably, never quite the same from one day to the next. They talk about the strange gifts hidden inside perimenopause, the discipline of showing up for other people's grief when your own body has other plans, and what it means to keep working when "listening to your body" isn't a wellness slogan but a daily negotiation. Part of The Body , a season of Working For Progress about how we inhabit ourselves at work. Working For Progress is hosted by Dani Trudeau and produced by Alice Hudson. We are coming from Tribe Porty , a community coworking space in Portobello, on the coast of Edinburgh.
