Welcome to episode 1 of Tveiting Patiently! I'm your host Elizabeth! This first episode will share some of my story about my personal introduction to the talents of Aaron Tveit as well as share some of Aaron’s own key career highlights and timelines. From his upbringing, to college, to first performing jobs, to Broadway and beyond. Aaron's been on quite the journey over the past almost two decades!
In keeping with the theme of Thanksgiving and celebrating what we are thankful for, Jill and I share our top Aaron performances that we are thankful that there is footage of. From the OG Moulin Rouge Opt Up to recent concerts. The lists could have gone on and on, but we tried to reign it in. Happy Thanksgiving.
That's right! More CHESS! CHESS is officially open on Broadway and it was an incredible experience to be back at the board on Tuesday night to see the show in it's official form! This week's episode talks about opening night, reviews, and of course, the incredible vocals and acting happening inside the Imperial Theatre.
This past weekend was spent back at the CHESS board in the Imperial Theatre. The show has evolved so much since the first preview. And now they're just over one week away from officially opening! My friend Martha and I recap our experiences at CHESS this weekend already anticipate the next time we can get back!
On September 12, 2025, Aaron Tveit performed at the Mayo Performing Arts Center and it was a concert and night to remember for the audience and the budding musical theater students who had the chance to join Aaron on stage.

After watching the Wicked movie...again this weekend, I was thinking about the first time I saw the movie in theaters and the Idina and Kristen cameo moment happened. That reaction was one that would only happen once because now, even though it's still special, we know it's coming. So this week's episode reflects back on the first time seeing Aaron perform in certain show and perform certain songs in concerts.
How has it almost been 1 year since Aaron Tveit made his debut in Sweeney Todd?! A known dream role for him and he and Sutton Foster were a match made in heaven as Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett. This episode reminisces on February 9, 2024. The night that kicked off Aaron's 12 week run as Sweeney Todd.
Whether he realizes it or not, Aaron Tveit has given so many of us a place to belong and sense of community throughout his career. These communities have grown even more through social media and being able to connect with others who share the similar interest of celebrating Aaron and musicals. This week's episode is a reflection of gratitude for those communities.
