Today's podcast is all about how to get better at anything (with guest appearance by my daughter!)
In it I dive into how I felt when I published the last podcast (my first since having my daughter) and what helped me work through it and show up again for this episode.
Because it can be easy to want to wait until something is "perfect" before trying it (especially if you're used to being good at stuff and you're doing something new or different).
And yet the way to get better at anything is to let it be messy and imperfect and bad first.
So here's to showing up again and again as our messy imperfect selves :)
Enjoy!

How I'm thinking about turning 40
Why this way of thinking helps me feel content, grateful and abundant instead of feeling heavy
A simple practice to shift how you think and feel about time that will change your entire day

My current scary goal (which feels scary to talk about...so here we go :))
** free training on How to Bend Time! Sign up link below :) **
Hi and welcome to The Scary Goals Club - I'm so happy you're here!
This episode is a little bit more raw and vulnerable. I'm sharing about the current scary goal I'm creating (and why it feels scary).
I want to take you a bit more behind the scenes so you can understand more about what I'm creating in real time and alllll the stuff I'm working through as I go.
Because it's not all about the highs and the goal itself (although those are fun of course).
It's about navigating the lows, surrendering, letting go of forcing and leaning into trust, listening to what feels most aligned and staying focused on a vision you're feeling called to, even when life throws its curveballs at you and things from the past keep resurfacing to say hi :)
Listen to the episode to hear:
What scary goal I'm creating right now
Why it feels scary and how I'm navigating it
How the energy (thoughts and feelings) behind creating something is so important and how it flows through into what you're creating (and what it's like when you've created it)
What happened in the past when I created goals from forcing and pressure
How I'm leaning into fun and playfulness for this goal (and some ways you can bring this into your goals too!)
Enjoy!

How to bend time
** free training on How to Bend Time! Sign up link below :) **
Hi and welcome to The Scary Goals Club - I'm so happy you're here!
If you've ever felt like there's never enough time, like you're rushing through your to-do list in panic mode, but still can't get everything done - this episode is for you :) (I get it - I've been there!)
In it I dive into how to bend time (and exactly what that means). And no, it doesn't have anything to do with working faster or doing more.
I also give a recent example of how I bent time and changed my entire experience of it. Shifting from thinking something would take 6 hours to do, to getting it all done in 2 calm, focused, expansive hours.
Listen to the episode to hear:
Why "there's not enough time" is just a thought / a default story our brain tells us - and how to shift it
The scarcity vs. abundance mindset around time (and how it changes everything)
How investing time to process your feelings first actually makes you MORE effective, not less
Why trying to push through when you're in panic mode just creates more to-dos (a lot of which likely don't even need done)
The simple practice that helps you move from frantic to focused in minutes
How your experience of time is actually your experience of life
This episode is for you if you've ever felt like you're on a treadmill of doing, doing, doing and never feeling like you're getting anywhere.
Or if you have ADHD or a buzzy brain and struggle with variable energy levels.
Enjoy!

What happens when you stop trying to fit the mould? Interview with Rebbie Webb
Hi and welcome to The Scary Goals Club! I'm so happy you're here :)
What happens when you stop trying to squeeze your buzzy, creative brain into conventional work systems and start creating your own way instead?
In this episode, I'm chatting with Rebbie Webb, Human Rights Manager at Marks & Spencer Food, about her journey from feeling constantly behind and out of control at work to landing her dream role and making work feel genuinely joyful.
Listen to the episode to hear:
What shifted when Rebbie stopped hiding the parts of her personality she thought didn't fit at work
How to trust your intuition and take bold moves - even when you can't see the whole path
The practice of "having your own back" when things don't go perfectly
Why your sensitivity, depth, and emotionality are exactly what make you perfect for the work you do
How to create practical systems that work WITH your buzzy brain, not against it (listen to the end for her brilliant bum bag method)
Plus how a visualisation practice can have you running your fastest-ever Parkrun, with a surprising result...
If you've ever felt like you're trying to force yourself into a mould that doesn't quite fit, or you're working way too hard to do things "the right way," (or how other people seem to be doing things), this conversation will show you what becomes possible when you trust your unique brain and create work that feels creative, purposeful, and fun.
Enjoy!
A bit about Rebbie:

With roots in business, consultancy and NGOs, she’s spent years listening to workers and farmers, driving change from the inside out. Now in her early thirties, she’s landed her dream role. Rebbie’s aim is to make work feel creative, purposeful and fun, while inspiring others and staying fiercely committed to justice for those behind our food.

8 sneaky ways your brain might be self-sabotaging your goals (and what to do about it)
Hi and welcome to The Scary Goals Club! I'm so happy you're here :)
Ever notice how something amazing happens in your life and then immediately your brain goes into overdrive with worries? Or you finally achieve a big goal and suddenly you get sick or injured or have a big fight?
That's not random. It's your brain self-sabotaging your goals when you reach what's called an "upper limit" of what you're used to (because brains are wired for safety and survival, not growth and change).
In this episode, I'm diving into the concept of upper limits from Gay Hendricks' book The Big Leap and sharing exactly how to recognise when you're self-sabotaging your own success (we all do it, and your brain thinks it's helping keep you safe).
In this episode I cover:
Why your brain freaks out when too many good things happen at once
The 8 sneaky self-sabotage behaviours that show you've hit an upper limit (worrying, deflecting compliments, getting sick after wins, and more)
Real examples from my own life, including hitting upper limits with recent big scary goals of becoming pregnant and finding our dream house
How to catch yourself in the pattern and shift it
The simple practice that expands your capacity for how much joy, success, and abundance you can hold
If you've ever felt like you can't quite let yourself enjoy your wins or think that something good will never last, this episode will help you understand what's happening and how to shift it.
Listen now to learn how to expand your upper limits and let yourself fully experience the amazingness you're creating with your scary goals.
Enjoy!
