The Moment You Stopped Fully Trusting Yourself (And How to Get It Back)

Self-distrust rarely arrives all at once. It accumulates quietly (a decision that backfired, an instinct someone told you was wrong, a situation you stayed in too long and couldn't explain why). Stack enough of those experiences and your subconscious draws a conclusion: my judgment can't be trusted. In this episode, Brad traces where self-distrust actually comes from, what it silently costs you in every decision you make, and walks through the four-step process to name the moment it started, break the meaning you gave it, and rebuild the most important relationship you have.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Self-distrust doesn't come from one dramatic failure. It accumulates quietly through a series of smaller experiences that build a case your subconscious eventually accepts as fact.Once self-distrust is installed, you outsource your decisions to other people's validation… and even when they confirm your idea, it still doesn't feel right, because the certainty didn't come from you. There's a critical difference between seeking input and seeking permission. Seeking input means weighing someone's perspective against what you know. Seeking permission means handing them the decision entirely.Self-trust isn't believing you'll always be right. It's trusting that whatever happens, you can handle what comes next. You'll either get what you wanted or you'll get what you needed. Most people wait to trust themselves until they have a track record of good decisions. But the track record is built by trusting yourself first. That's the order and it's always been the order.Trust is rebuilt through consistent evidence: small promises made to yourself, honored. Every instinct overridden by outside noise is a withdrawal. Every decision made and owned is a deposit.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES:🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. The Psychology of Scaling (At Every Level), Part 2 w/ James Wedmore

RARE OPPORTUNITY: James Wedmore's Business Breakthrough Experience is a free 3-part immersive event for online experts who want to identify what's blocking their growth, both in their business and within themselves. James is my personal business mentor and someone I completely trust to teach the psychology and the tactics of business growth at any stage. You don’t want to miss this! It only happens once per year. Register for The Business Breakthrough Experience w/ James Wedmore here! EPISODE DESCRIPTION:In Part 1, James and Brad walked through the psychology behind every major revenue leap in James's career. You can catch part 1 right here.In Part 2, they go deeper into the two growth levers most business owners never touch: expanding the energetic container, and giving yourself a promotion. James breaks down why you will grow exactly to the level of problems you can handle, what it looks like to identify the lesson inside every ceiling, and how the role you fill each day is the single most accurate predictor of where your revenue sits. This is one of the most practically honest episodes about what growing and scaling actually requires from the inside out. KEY TAKEAWAYS:You grow to the level of problems you can handle. Whatever you can't handle now… criticism, rejection, a difficult client… growth actually includes more of it. You don't get to skip the lesson; you just get to learn it faster.Whatever is affecting you is telling you something. If it hits your stuff, there's still a wound there, still something to learn. The goal isn't to suppress the emotion… it's to understand what it's costing you and reclaim the power you're giving away.Every level of growth is a process of letting go. When you let go of what's no longer serving you…  the need to be liked, to be the only one who can help, to control everything… you let in what's next. You get off the growth train the moment you refuse to let go of something. The role you fill determines the results you receive. People drift toward the most reactive, lowest-value work and mistake busyness for progress. Giving yourself a promotion means deliberately stopping the lowest-value role and doing more of the next one up… one layer at a time.Every revenue stage has specific needs. Zero to sales needs self-trust and a decision. Sales to $100K needs skill development. $100K to $1M needs mastery and authentic brand identity. Beyond $1M needs structure, systems, and a team. Trying to skip stages means skipping the lessons they carry. What you want to do is what you're meant to do. The people who build sustainable businesses aren't chasing an income… they said yes to a process they'd do even if they weren't getting paid. That's not a coincidence. That's the foundation.OTHER FREE TRAINING RESOURCES🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. The Psychology of Scaling (At Every Level), Part 1 w/ James Wedmore

EPISODE DESCRIPTION:Four and a half years. That's how long James Wedmore spent building before he made his first real dollar online. Then he did $400,000 in 30 days. In this episode, Brad sits down with James for Part 1 of a two-part deep dive into the psychology of scaling…  the internal shifts that preceded every major revenue leap in James's career, from zero to sales, through $1.2M, through $10M, and beyond. This is a map of what growth actually requires at each level of business, and why every breakdown is connected to the breakthrough that follows it.KEY TAKEAWAYS:The "leapfrog effect" means every season is preparing you for the next one…  even when it feels like a detour. Nothing is wasted, including the hardest parts.Four and a half years of zero revenue ended not because of a new strategy, but because of one shift: stopping the attempt to hedge risk by building seven businesses at once and going all in on one. Diffused energy is a signal of unconscious disbelief.Going from $280K to $1.2M in one year came from dropping the people-pleasing mask. Trying to get people to like you is a different energy than trying to help them… and the marketplace can feel that difference.Fear doesn't disappear as you grow. It gets louder. The $2M to $10M leap came from doing battle with fear directly… and discovering that fear is rooted in self-focus, while service has no room for it.Scaling is not the same as growth. Scaling means increasing output without proportionally increasing input. The model you choose determines whether scaling is even possible… and most people never look at the model first.Business growth happens in stages. Zero to sales, sales to $100K, $100K to $250K, $250K to $500K, $500K to $1M, $1M to $2M, and beyond. The fastest path forward is learning the lessons at each stage faster… not skipping them.OTHER FREE TRAINING RESOURCES🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. Why Consuming More Content Can Keep You Broke

There's a version of procrastination that looks nothing like procrastination. It looks like ambition. It looks like growth. It feels like progress. In this episode, Brad breaks down what he calls personal development paralysis... the sophisticated trap where consuming content becomes a substitute for the scary actions that would actually create results. He walks through why driven people are the most vulnerable to this pattern, what's actually happening in your brain when you reach for another podcast instead of making the call, and how to close the gap between insight and action for good.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Personal development paralysis is procrastination in disguise. It feels virtuous because growth is good, but when consumption becomes a way to avoid acting, it keeps you in the same place only more informed about why.High achievers are uniquely vulnerable because consuming content is aligned with their identity. But you can't fail listening to a podcast… and that safety is exactly what makes it dangerous.Your brain will naturally prefer the dopamine spike of an insight over the discomfort of action unless you override it deliberately. Knowing this is the beginning of overriding it.Knowledge is potential power, not actual power. What matters is how much of what you know has actually changed the way you live. One idea fully implemented is worth more than a hundred ideas in your notes app. Consume with intention, urgency, and a commitment to act on it before consuming anything else. The life you want isn't on the other side of more information. It's on the other side of action… and the best education you'll ever get comes from doing the thing, not studying it.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. How to Thrive When the World Is Uncertain

Uncertainty isn't new. Every generation has faced wars, recessions, pandemics, and social chaos. What's new is the speed at which you're consuming it. In this episode, Brad makes a case for why the external world has never been the variable that determines your outcome, and walks through the four internal pillars that separate people who thrive in uncertain times from those who get completely eaten by them. This isn't toxic positivity. It's a framework for building the kind of internal infrastructure that external chaos cannot shake.KEY TAKEAWAYS:The world has always been uncertain. The people who built legacies, started companies, and changed industries did it in the middle of chaos, not after it ended. Waiting for stability is a trap with no exit.People who collapse in uncertainty are externally anchored… their confidence borrows from conditions they can't control. People who thrive are internally anchored, with a foundation that doesn't move when things get chaotic around them.A compelling vision is your GPS when roads close. Without one, you have nothing to orient back to and you'll go wherever the wind blows.Identity stability means knowing who you are is independent of your results, your income, or your circumstances. When attachment goes, so does the emotional volatility that stops people from moving.Fear is not the enemy. An unmanaged fear response is. High performers feel the same fear as everyone else… it just doesn't get to make the decision. It is never a lack of resources. It's a lack of resourcefulness. Resourcefulness is a decision and it has nothing to do with your circumstances.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631 📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. Taboo Topics In Mental Health w/ Dr. Jessica Turner

Depression, anxiety, PTSD… these are the things millions of people carry quietly, convinced that naming them out loud will change how others see them, or that the conditions they're living with simply come with the territory of a hard life. Depression, anxiety, PTSD… these are the things millions of people carry quietly, convinced that naming them out loud will change how others see them, or that the conditions they're living with simply come with the territory of a hard life. In this episode, Brad sits down with Dr. Jessica Turner, author of Blackbird: Learning to Fly Above Depression and Anxiety, and someone who has personally walked through postpartum depression, disordered eating, PTSD, and the kind of grief that forces you to confront what you've been outrunning for years. Jessica shares her story with rare honesty and backs it with real clinical insight: the brain can change, healing doesn't have to happen all at once, and you have far more control over what you carry than you've ever been told. There is beauty on the other side of trauma, if you're willing to look for it.Make sure you grab a copy of Jessica’s brand new book: “Blackbird: Learning to Fly Above Depression and Anxiety” here!KEY TAKEAWAYS:Mental health stigma is rooted in an outdated image of what these conditions look like. Most people disqualify themselves from getting help because they don't fit the picture they have in their head… and so they carry it in silence instead. So much of lasting struggle comes from never stopping long enough to ask why. Why do you react in certain ways. Why certain things send you sideways. The questions you avoid are usually the ones that hold the most healing.Traumatic memories that aren't properly processed stay fragmented… bits and pieces that shape your behavior and beliefs without you realizing it. Counseling and trauma therapy work by integrating those pieces into a coherent story you can actually make sense of.Healing doesn't require you to face everything at once. You can start with the smaller layers while honoring what you're not ready for yet…and that's not avoidance, that's wisdom about the season you're in.Forgiveness isn't about excusing what happened. It's about choosing not to carry the weight of it anymore. Until that happens, true freedom and healing stay out of reach.Post-traumatic growth is a real possibility. The hardest seasons don't have to just be survived… they can become the source of your deepest resilience, self-knowledge, and clarity about what you're actually capable of.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. Life Navigation Framework: Success GPS

Failure is normal. But if no matter what you do, you seem to fail and you consistently feel like a failure… there’s actually a reason. It means your internal GPS is miscalibrated… In this episode, Brad introduces his Success GPS framework and unpacks why success isn't about grinding more or moving faster. It's about accuracy: knowing where you're actually going, being honest about where you actually are, and learning to read the terrain instead of fighting it.The GPS doesn't care how hard you drive. It only cares about two things.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Success works exactly like Google Maps…  it needs an accurate destination and an accurate current location. Get either one wrong, and you end up lost no matter how hard you work. Most people set goals based on how much gas they currently have in the tank, not where they actually want to go. A responsible destination isn't a compelling one, and the subconscious will reroute you home every time.If your goal doesn't genuinely excite you enough to keep moving on the hardest days, it's a placeholder. NOT a destination.High achievers distort their current location in three ways: minimizing how far they've come, overestimating where they are, or making their life seem way worse than it is. All three send the GPS in the wrong direction.Slow seasons, construction zones, and rest stops aren't signs of failure. They're actually part of the journey. The achievers who honor them are the ones who actually make it to the destination.Alternate routes aren't failures. Rigid attachment to the original plan is. Commit to the destination. Let go of the how.Who's in the car with you shapes your results more than most people realize. The wrong passengers drain you regardless of how good your GPS is. Evaluate the car without judgment. FREE TRAINING RESOURCES:🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. Are You Actually Living Your Life… Or Just Performing It?

Most people love to talk about chasing success. But next to nobody talks about the slow drift into a life built entirely around other people's expectations that prevents it. In this episode, Brad names the performance gap… the quiet distance between the life you're executing and the life you actually want…  and walks through exactly how it compounds. He explores why the skills that make high achievers successful are the same ones that keep them from questioning whether they're going in the right direction and offers three questions that cut through every story to surface what you really want. The most dangerous thing a high achiever can do is get really, really good at living a life they never actually chose.KEY TAKEAWAYS:The performance gap starts small (one yes to something that looks good on paper but isn't what you actually want) and compounds into a life built around everyone else's expectations. When success only produces relief instead of excitement, that's the signal you're performing a life rather than living one.High achievers are uniquely vulnerable to this trap because the skills that make them successful (executing, adapting, performing) are the same ones that keep them from questioning the direction they're going. The inability to answer "what do you want?" without referencing what you've already built is a sign there's no real future vision pulling you forward…How to navigate the deepest question on this topic: If no one would ever know, what would you do differently? The gap between that answer and your current life is the most important work you can do.Slowing down to evaluate direction isn't a threat to your momentum… it's the thing that makes real momentum possible. Climbing fast doesn't matter if the ladder is against the wrong wall.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES:🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. When Discipline Destroys You

High achievers wear their grind like a badge of honor. Nobody questions whether the thing they're calling discipline is actually tearing them apart. In this episode, Brad draws a clear line between real discipline and self-punishment in disguise. He breaks down the three most common patterns high achievers mistake for discipline, explains why fear-based motivation always burns out, and makes the case that celebration isn't a weakness… it's actually a performance tool. You can build achievements on self-punishment. You cannot build fulfillment on it.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Somewhere along the way, a lot of driven people started calling self-punishment by a nicer name. The first step is being honest about which one you're actually practicing.Rest is not a reward for performance… it's part of performance. Withholding it as punishment creates a chronic stress state your nervous system was never designed to sustain.Using disappointment as fuel works briefly at low doses. Long-term, it breeds inconsistency, resentment, and eventual burnout… because fear is the dirtiest fuel source there is.Skipping celebration to "stay hungry" trains your brain that nothing you do is ever enough. Eventually, the motivation to keep going disappears entirely. The difference between discipline and self-punishment isn't how hard you work. it's the story playing in your mind while you do it.True discipline is identity-based: I do this because of who I am. Self-punishment is fear-based: I do this because of what I'm afraid I won't have if I don't.Achievement without fulfillment is the ultimate failure. Real discipline builds a life you actually want to live in… not one you need to escape from.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES:🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success. The Hidden Cost of Deflecting Compliments

High achievers talk about imposter syndrome. Nobody talks about the habit of actively refusing to let good things in.In this episode, Brad unpacks why deflecting compliments, praise, and recognition isn't humility… it's a subconscious ceiling. He names the three beliefs driving the pattern, explains why receiving is a nervous system skill, and shows why what you can't let in, you can't hold onto. You can't build a life bigger than the self-concept you're willing to hold. And every "oh, it was nothing" is telling your subconscious exactly how small that still is.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Deflecting compliments isn't modesty… it's a trained subconscious response that casts a vote for a smaller version of you every single time. The gap principle: what you can't receive, you can't sustain. Your results will never outgrow your willingness to own them. There are three beliefs driving deflection… "I don't deserve it yet," "I'll have to maintain it," and "being fully seen is dangerous." All three are fear wearing a different costume.Tying your worth to achievement instead of identity creates a scarcity psychology where you're never far enough along to deserve recognition.Deflecting isn't just self-limiting… it cuts off the giver's abundance too. Every time you push away a compliment, you're blocking someone else from the experience of lifting you.Receiving is a practice. Start with two words: thank you. Nothing else. Your nervous system will tell you everything you need to know from there.FREE TRAINING RESOURCES:🧠 Take The “What’s Your Unique Success Archetype?” Quiz: https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/689cd7687b9d9600152b6631📘 Download Wired For Success, My Free Mini-Ebook: https://www.bradbizjack.com/ebookTAKE ACTION📱 Follow Brad on Instagram: Daily insights on values, emotional momentum, and sustainable success.
