The Entrepreneurs' Guild EP 277: With Rene Sonneveld

Rene works with family businesses to navigate the unexpected challenges that Founders often face, especially when it comes to succession, leadership dynamics, and maintaining a lasting legacy. Drawing on decades of experience advising business leaders, Rene shares how silent conflicts, unchecked egos, and unresolved tensions can derail even the most carefully planned strategy. He explains what leaders can do to protect their vision while keeping teams aligned and thriving. From constructive ways to manage more challenging emotions like fear or envy - to recognizing the interference of cognitive bias, Rene offers an array of hands-on strategies to cultivate a strong emotional core in any family business. These strategies are outlined in his book, The Elephant in the Family Room.

Networking is likely the strongest marketing tool available for start-ups and small businesses … and continues to be extremely valuable even after a company is well established.  None of us have all the skills necessary to run a profitable, sustainable business all by ourselves, so networking allows us to meet other small business owners and contractors who offer the specialized expertise we need for our businesses to thrive. But networking can be challenging for many people, and a complete waste of time if not done intelligently.  In today's program, we discuss some key points to consider and implement, to make your networking fun, interesting, effective and profitable.

The Entrepreneurs' Guild EP 273: With Erick Pettersen

Erick works with high-performing entrepreneurs and leaders to stabilize execution, sharpen decision-making, and align identity with the level of wealth and impact they're capable of creating.  Rather than focusing on strategy alone, he helps clients close the gap between what they know and "how they show up" - eliminating inconsistency, hesitation, and overthinking under pressure.   His work centers on "wealth identity," the internal standard that drives clean execution, consistent results, and sustainable long-term success, especially in high-stakes environments where precision matters most.

The Entrepreneurs' Guild EP 272: With Malcolm Reid

For more than 11 years, Malcolm has quietly helped over 1,000 coaches around the world build profitable, values-driven practices using a proven "business-in-a-box" model.   Rather than teaching theory, his company, ProGlobal Business Advisors, provides everything required to run a successful coaching or consulting business,  from positioning, systems, and enrollment processes, to delivery frameworks, software, and long-term operational support — all branded to the individual coach. Malcolm's work is rooted in a deep respect for small business owners, whom he believes are the backbone of the global economy. He is known for his strong stance against "fake gurus" and hype-driven coaching models, advocating instead for integrity, results, and long-term client impact.  Malcolm and his team maintain a rigorous vetting process, working only with coaches who demonstrate strong values, ethics, and a genuine desire to serve.   Through his work, Malcolm helps coaches stop guessing, stop hustling, and start operating like true owners, so they can build stable businesses, support their families, and drive measurable results for the small businesses they serve.
