Next Level Mindset with Nathan Winston

George Wright III interviews Nathan Winston—former professional baseball player, coach, corrections officer, motivational speaker, and founder of Next Level Mindset—about overcoming obstacles and reframing setbacks. Winston shares being born with PFFD, having his left leg amputated at age four, and being told he would never play sports, yet competing in basketball, baseball, and football while managing sweating and frequent prosthetic failures. He explains how fear nearly stopped him from running onto the court in seventh grade, which shaped his principle of “getting comfortable being uncomfortable.” The conversation focuses on fear of failure, redefining success as doing everything you can, building self-belief, and surrounding yourself with positive people. Winston discusses dark moments from injuries and breaks, and says a work injury motivated him to start writing a memoir and sharing his story through speaking and podcasts. 00:00 Fear Before Tipoff 00:29 Podcast Welcome and Guest Intro 01:51 Nathan’s Amputation Story 03:17 Early Mindset and Sports Drive 04:22 Prosthetic Struggles in Games 05:49 Injuries and Quitting Football 06:40 Next Level Mindset Explained 08:28 Fear of Failure and Reframing 10:34 Daily Rituals and Broken Foot Story 12:22 Helping Others Build Confidence 14:59 Memoir Motivation and Setbacks Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Guest Bio Nathan Winston is a former professional baseball player, speaker, and advocate for embracing adversity as a path to growth. Born with a rare condition called Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, Nathan had his left leg amputated at four years old. That never stopped him from competing. Growing up, he played football, basketball, and baseball alongside his peers while learning to overcome challenges most athletes never face—from repairing his prosthetic during games to pitching on a cracked prosthetic foot held together with a homemade splint and duct tape. Nathan’s determination eventually took him all the way to professional baseball. Through injuries, setbacks, and some of the most difficult moments of his life, he developed what he calls the Next Level Mindset: the understanding that confidence comes after doing the uncomfortable thing, not before. His philosophy is simple: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable until you get comfortable.” Today, Nathan shares his story to inspire others to see adversity differently—not as something that has to define their future, but as an experience that can prepare them for their purpose. Design Your Life Before Your Business Designs It for You

George Wright III challenges entrepreneurs to ask whether the business they built for freedom has quietly taken control of their time. He explains that a calendar reveals real priorities, why a business should be designed around an ideal life, and why revenue or growth alone won’t create freedom. Real freedom requires deliberate systems, delegation, boundaries, leadership, and a clear definition of what success should provide. George argues that success should expand choices instead of multiplying obligations, and that a great business should support better health, stronger relationships, meaningful work, and more control over time. He closes by asking listeners to review their calendars, remove or delegate an obligation, protect time for what matters, and start designing life intentionally before the business designs it for them. 00:00 — Business Should Support Your Life 00:25 — Is Your Business in Control? 01:35 — Your Calendar Reveals Priorities 02:55 — Build Around Your Ideal Life 04:20 — Freedom Requires Intention 05:50 — Success Should Create Choices 07:05 — A Better Measure of Success 08:25 — Redesign Your Business and Life 09:05 — The Weekend Calendar Challenge Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Create Once, Influence Forever: Building Content That Compounds

In this Wednesday episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III explains how entrepreneurs can stop creating “expiring” content and instead build evergreen assets that compound over time. He argues that the best content doesn’t interrupt people’s lives—it improves them—and that educational content builds trust faster than constant promotion by demonstrating expertise and thought leadership at scale. George encourages founders to create leverage by turning one meaningful idea (like a podcast episode) into multiple formats—YouTube, short reels, articles, newsletters, quotes, presentations, or trainings—so the work continues producing value months or years later. He also emphasizes that consistency beats perfection, warning against overthinking and waiting to publish, and challenges listeners to pick one helpful idea, create around it, then strategically distribute it. 00:00 Create Leverage With Content 00:49 Stop Posting Expiring Content 02:07 Content As Business Asset 03:18 Teach To Build Trust 04:39 Create Once Repurpose Everywhere 06:09 Consistency Beats Perfection 07:34 Make Content Compound 09:21 One Idea Challenge Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Empowering Women Through Confidence and Community with Michele Morley

On The Daily Mastermind, host George Wright III interviews Michele Morley on the set of the Yes Women’s Network about relaunching the Yes Women’s Network and launching its podcast. Morley, a longtime teacher, coach, and advocate for women, says the mission is to create a supportive community that helps women—especially those in their 30s and beyond—gain clarity, recognize their passions, and move forward personally and professionally. The network is built on four pillars: faith (grounding and guidance through practices like prayer/meditation), relationships (personal and professional support systems), wellbeing (beyond fitness to include peace of mind and health challenges, including her experience with pericarditis), and finance (building understanding and confidence for financial independence). The podcast will feature co-hosted “real talk” conversations and experts across these pillars, plus upcoming events. 00:00 Why Yes Women Exists 00:47 Show Welcome and Guest Intro 02:14 Why Relaunch the Network 03:38 Coaching Roots and Advocacy 05:22 Mission and Community Purpose 06:47 Four Pillars Overview 07:59 Faith as a Foundation 09:23 Relationships That Support You 10:14 Wellbeing Beyond Fitness 13:01 Finance and Independence 14:31 Who the Community Serves 15:37 Confidence Struggles Today 17:06 Daily Rituals and Service 18:58 Podcast Format and Guests Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. The Discipline of Keeping Promises to Yourself

In this Monday mindset episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III explains that the fastest way to build confidence is to keep the promises you make to yourself, because self-trust—not mood or motivation—is what creates real confidence. He reframes self-discipline as self-respect, built through small, ordinary daily decisions that compound over time, and warns that repeatedly breaking commitments weakens your internal trust just like in any relationship. George emphasizes that actions create confidence, motivation fades, and successful people stop renegotiating priorities based on how they feel. He challenges listeners to choose one meaningful promise they’ve been avoiding and keep it every day this week, celebrate the follow-through, and let the evidence strengthen identity, clarity, and consistency. 00:00 Confidence Starts With Promises 00:34 Welcome And Weekend Check In 00:51 Do You Trust Yourself 02:30 Discipline Through Small Wins 04:07 Self Trust Builds Confidence 05:45 Motivation Fades Discipline Stays 08:01 Self Respect And Alignment 09:43 Ordinary Disciplines Compound 12:00 Weekly Promise Challenge Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Leadership Begins Long Before Anyone Follows You

In this Friday episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III shares the message that leadership starts in the mirror and isn’t defined by titles but by the standards you set, the commitments you keep, and how you show up when nobody is watching. He emphasizes leading yourself first—managing emotions, staying disciplined, and holding yourself accountable—because people follow actions more than words. George explains that character creates credibility, trust is built through consistent integrity, and influence is earned one interaction at a time, especially under pressure. He warns against creating dependency where everything relies on the leader, urging entrepreneurs to develop more leaders by coaching, delegating responsibility, and allowing mistakes with feedback. 00:00 Leadership Mirror Question 00:31 Show Intro Framework 01:53 Legacy Big Idea 02:11 Lead Yourself First 03:28 Character Builds Trust 04:57 Influence Under Pressure 06:06 Culture Is What You Model 06:54 Create Leaders Not Dependence 08:30 Responsibility And Service 09:50 Legacy Daily Challenge Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Reprogramming the Subconscious Mind With Curtis McCollum

On The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III interviews Curtis McCollum, founder of Bespoke Human Potential Coaching, about combining executive coaching with clinical hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, and mental-emotional release to work with the subconscious mind. McCollum explains that most coaching targets the conscious 5% while his methods address the subconscious 95%, describing NLP as identifying and changing the language and scripts installed early in life, and mental-emotional release as a process to remove emotions like anger, sadness, guilt, fear and limiting beliefs quickly by finding root causes. He outlines his “Legit Mindset” framework—Learning, Expanding, Growing, Transforming—as a repeating cycle that builds capacity, and says common core blockers are “I’m not good enough” and “I’m not worthy.” He advises acknowledging feelings without identifying as them, using deep breathing (4-7-8), asking “what/how” questions, and taking inspired action; he shares losing his son and notes emotions communicate then leave. McCollum directs listeners to curtismccullum.com and his YouTube channel. 00:00 Name the Feeling 00:38 Meet Curtis McCollum 01:46 Curtis Origin Story 04:00 Coaching vs Hypnosis 05:08 NLP and Release Work 06:45 Daily Mental Supplement 08:44 Why Bespoke Matters 10:39 Legit Mindset Framework 12:15 Expand Before You Grow 14:29 Universal Capacity Principle 18:44 Core Blocks to Success 21:35 Stop Pretending You're Fine 23:22 Burnout and the 5 Percent 25:28 Practical Reset Steps Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Authority Is the New Currency: Why Trust Beats Attention

George Wright III explains that while visibility and attention matter in an attention economy, trust is the real currency and the goal for founders building long-term reputation. He argues authority compounds over time through repeated proof—valuable content, consistent messaging, conversations, and client results—unlike ads that stop working when spending stops. Popularity and follower counts don’t equal credibility; trust is built through consistency and being known for solving a meaningful problem for a specific audience. Authority bridges the gap between being seen and being chosen, creating opportunities like referrals, partnerships, and speaking. Wright emphasizes reputation as a durable business asset that shortens sales cycles, boosts marketing effectiveness, and attracts talent, and he challenges listeners to identify one problem they want to be known for and demonstrate expertise around it this week. 00:00 Think Beyond Campaigns 00:46 Trust Is Currency 01:33 Show Format Overview 02:23 Authority Compounds 04:27 Consistency Builds Trust 05:48 Awareness vs Authority 07:05 Be Known for Problems 08:22 Proof Over Claims 09:01 Reputation as Asset 10:58 Weekly Challenge Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Rebuilding After Losing Millions with Rod Khleif

George Wright III interviews real estate investor and Lifetime Cashflow Academy founder Rod Khleif, who recounts immigrating from the Netherlands, rising from poverty, and learning that mindset drives 80–90% of success. Khleif describes owning thousands of houses and apartment units, then losing $50 million in the 2008 crash despite a 30% loan-to-value, and recovering by treating failures as “seminars” and not tying identity to any “vehicle” like real estate or business. Success Without Purpose Is the Fastest Path to Burnout

George Wright III explains why many successful founders still feel burned out and restless: achievement without purpose feels empty. He argues entrepreneurs often start with a desire for freedom and impact but drift into performance, revenue obsession, and comparison, letting the business become the master instead of the servant. Burnout isn’t a required price of success; founders should build systems, leaders, and processes that return time and control. Purpose provides resilience during setbacks by giving challenges context, while fulfillment comes from living aligned with values rather than external milestones. Wright urges listeners to assess whether their business supports their health, relationships, integrity, and quality of life, and to spend 10 minutes asking why they started, whether current living reflects priorities, and where their path leads in five years. 00:00 Burnout After Success 01:43 Freedom vs Performance Trap 02:49 Business Should Serve Life 04:04 Purpose Fuels Resilience 05:19 Achievement vs Fulfillment 06:32 Values as Decision Filter 07:44 10 Minute Purpose Check 08:27 Wrap Up and Next Steps Thanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone.
