EP 418 | Birthday Thoughts, Business Pivots & a Little Ted Lasso

I'm turning 52, I've got a birthday coming up, and this time I'm doing things differently: no full script, just a spontaneous catch-up to see where the conversation takes me. We're talking life, business, seasonal rhythms (which you know I love) and yes, a little Ted Lasso. Please tell me you watch that show. EP 420 | Tapping For Fear of Rejection: Becoming Safe To Be Seen

EFT Tapping For Fear of Rejection & Fear of Being Seen What if the reason you keep hiding isn't because you lack confidence but because being seen feels vulnerable? In this guided EFT tapping practice, we're working with the fear of rejection, fear of being seen, limiting beliefs, and the nervous system patterns that can cause you to pull back after putting yourself out there. Maybe you share your voice, make an offer, show up online, take a courageous step and the suddenly want to hide again. You may find yourself overthinking, second guessing yourself, worrying about what people think or deciding you need to do more inner work before you're ready. Underneath this pattern may be the belief: "It's safe to stay unseen than to rish being rejected." In this episode, we'll use EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) to acknowledge the part of you that learned to hide while creating space for a new belief: "I can be seen and still be safe within myself." We've all experienced rejection. Someone doesn't choose us. A potential client says no. An invitation isn't reciprocated. An offer does not sell the way we hoped. Or someone simply doesn't respond. And while rejection can genuinely hurt, the deeper pain ususally comes from the meaning we attach to it. We question our worth, why we weren't chosen or if we did something wrong. In this episode of The Soul Aligned Podcast, we explore what's really happening underneath the sting of rejection—and how rejection can activate old wounds around belonging, worthiness, visibility, and being chosen. I share a personal experience of when I put myself out there and realizing that my own fear is not really about someone saying no, it's how my nervous system anticipates rejection before it ever happens. When we've experienced rejection in the past, our nervous system can begin scanning for the possibility of experiencing it again. We may start overthinking, checking for responses, changing our approach, people-pleasing, over-explaining or questioning ourselves before anyone has even said no.
