When I set out to field-test my new Zoom H2 Essential Multi-Mic Handy Recorder (which I can't recommend highly enough), I assumed I was simply going to capture some random audio. Apparently, God had other plans. While riding public transportation from Glenwood Springs to Eagle, Colorado, a ray of sunshine entered my life by the name of Dan. I'll cut to the chase: the world is a better place because Dan is in it. We need more people like him. Was our meeting a sacred contract, divine destiny, or completely random? I'll likely never know. So many years ago they contacted Kate Rau, executive director of the "Colorado High School Cycling League" and brought the "Ride, Connect & Empower" movement to Eagle, Colorado. Kate is the Founder and Executive Director of the Colorado High School Cycling League, established in 2010. She has over 20 years of experience in positive youth development. Her range of experience includes developing programming, service delivery, and training staff related to event production, mountain biking, snowsports, education, and family systems. She has a Masters in Education and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She is passionate about the benefits of positive youth development from the saddle of a mountain bike.
