Your Pursuit Is Your Purpose | Episode 247: Miss USA Olivia Jordan

Episode 247 Olivia Jordan is the first and only woman from Oklahoma ever crowned Miss USA, and she has built an acting career across NCIS, Hawaii Five-0, Dollface and a run of Lifetime leads. She is also one of the most honest guests I have had about what pursuing a dream actually looks like. She set out 15 years ago wanting to be a series regular on a TV show. That has not happened yet. She is still going, and she can tell you exactly why. We talk about how she checks in with herself when the outside voices get loud, why the growth she can measure year over year is the real reward, and what it takes to stop living on someone else's timeline. She tells the small world story of how she found her way into Cody Mayo Studios here in Tulsa, which started with one of my own articles in a dentist's waiting room. She talks about her medallion on the Circle Cinema Walk of Fame, the place she calls the heart of Oklahoma film. And she shares how she is raising her daughter Lola with room for big feelings, using meditation and affirmations they have practiced since Lola was an infant, plus a reminder every mom needs about giving herself grace.
