Rachel shares her journey after being diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation that causes Polycythemia Vera, a type of blood cancer, and Budd-Chiari Syndrome, that causes occlusion of the hepatic veins that drain the liver. Joann is not only Rachel's mother but also one of her caregivers during this chapter in her life.
