This one's a little different. This episode is an interview that Eddy and I did with Erin West of Humans Who Trade — and it turned into one of my favorite conversations we've ever had on record. We start with the land. Eddy grew up on Molokai, has been farming since he was a kid, and has spent decades regenerating depleted, chemically-destroyed soil back into thriving ecosystems — in some cases in a fraction of the time nature would do it alone. He talks about what it actually looks like to walk onto a dead piece of land and bring it back: observation, earthworks, pioneer plants, mycelium networks, the whole thing.
