James Rogers: From Rock Bottom to Building Property & Poppadoms

Sometimes the best things in life come from the most difficult times. My latest guest on the Freedom- Driven Founder Podcast is James Rogers, founder of Property & Poppadoms, one of the UK's biggest property networking communities. And what a journey he's had! From leaving school at 14 and working as a painter and decorator, to becoming a plumber, property investor, broker and eventually building a hugely successful networking business. But this conversation goes much deeper than property. James shares some incredibly difficult personal experiences, including family mental health challenges, divorce and the financial and emotional impact of starting again. In November 2022, he launched the first Property & Poppadoms event, partly as a way of getting himself out of the house and moving forward. What started as something to help him through a difficult period has grown into an incredible community. Niraj Shah: Surviving a Stroke 30, Building Businesses & Finding Real Freedom.

What happens when life reminds you just how precious your time really is? In this episode of the Freedom-Driven Founder Podcast, I'm joined by Niraj Shah, an entrepreneur, real estate investor and M&A advisor whose journey has taken some remarkable turns. After losing his father suddenly at just 47, Niraj developed a determination to create independence and see more of the world. Then, at 30, he suffered a serious stroke. He had to learn to walk properly again, but within 11 months he was back snowboarding. Ellie Cockbain: From Police Officer to Property Entrepreneur | Property, Freedom & Living Life Now

In this episode of the Freedom-Driven Founder Podcast, I'm joined by Ellie Cockbain, a property entrepreneur from the North East whose route into business has been anything but conventional. Ellie went straight from school into the police, working as a response officer dealing with 999 calls. A chance encounter through her other great passion — horses and show jumping — planted a seed: could you build a business that gave you your time back?
