Mindless Grudges & Groceries

This episode could alternatively be called "Exhaustion, part two: the packing continues." And so goes our slow descent into cardboard-box madness. This one's recorded while Ripley is fresh with nerves over an impending job interview which cues the eternal question of what the heck does one wear to a job interview?! Then, our hosts get into Soulframe, and the (genuinely) momentous news that Ripley finally got new pants as well as the special frustration of dealing with someone whose communication style changes every five minutes. Some joy is found in letting strangers touch your belongings, while other things do not fill us with joy. Mindless Opinionated Home Lists

This week, we're running on fumes and cardboard boxes because nothing says "quality-podcast-prep" like moving-and-packing exhaustion. Jordon had us make a list of meats and rank them by how much we love them (a scientifically rigorous process, obviously). Jordon had to bring up his revulsion for boiled peanuts-- the taste, the texture, but especially the smell. Mindless Snake Farm Horrors

Hello Mindless Fam! This episode goes off the rails almost immediately. Ripley can't sit straight (Jordon has to physically direct her posture), she inhales her coffee within the first few minutes, and from there it's a full blown animal kingdom deep dive. First up: newly discovered walking shark that has Jordon asking the real questions, like whether he needs to worry about sharks coming for him on land. Also up for debate: deodorant. Before or after your shirt and whether that's somehow a gendered thing. From there, we swerve into questions about the Cars universe and some darker topics like Typhoon Maysak and the small army of snakes it unleashed, a horror-story-worthy article about 16 kids found hidden in a basement (that Jordon only clicked because the mugshots looked like something out of Resident Evil 7) which reminds Ripley of Josef Fritzl. Which then leads into a genuinely important conversation about the foster care system. Finally, a palate cleanser: a tour through subreddits like r/chairsunderwater and r/neverbrokeabone.
