Crowded and Empty: Our Final Stateside Update

In this final update before returning to Southern Europe, we reflect on four months of furlough, six years of missionary service, and the personal cost and lasting purpose of following God’s call.Recorded from my late grandmother’s home, this is a quieter and more personal update about grief, family, supporting churches, the condition of the ministry, and the decisions awaiting us when we return. May & June 2026 Ministry Update | Furlough Travels

Join us for a personal update from our recent furlough travels as we share what the Lord has been doing over the past couple of months. Our family has been traveling, reporting to supporting churches, reconnecting with friends, spending time with family, and continuing school on the road. It has been a busy season with both blessings and challenges, but we are grateful for the many people who have prayed for us, encouraged us, and helped care for our family along the way. We also share encouraging news from the ministry overseas. While we have been away, the church has continued meeting faithfully. The Lord has brought several believers and families alongside the work to help with preaching, hospitality, practical needs, encouragement, and regular ministry responsibilities. We are especially thankful for the faithfulness and growth of several young people in the church who have helped serve, organize, welcome visitors, and care for important needs during this season. Later in the update, we share about a missions training week that was a great encouragement to our family. It was a blessing to spend time with other missionaries, churches, and believers who have a heart to serve the Lord around the world. Please continue praying for our family’s health and strength as we travel, for the churches still on our schedule, for the people helping with the ministry overseas, and for the church to remain strong and continue growing while we are away. Crazy buzzy flyee fuzzee!

We are officially in the middle of the crazy buzzy flyee fuzzee season of furlough life. 😅Right now we are traveling across the central United States, visiting churches, recording interviews, sending prayer letters, answering emails, scheduling meetings, and preparing for our return to Serbia in September.This month’s update is simple:God has been good.The old GMC van and camper are still rolling, the coffee is still flowing, and the Lord continues to provide every step of the way. We are also working on several special ministry projects while gathering testimonies and encouragement from pastors here in America to share with our people back in Serbia.Thank you to everyone praying for us, supporting us, and encouraging us during this busy season. Strengthening the Church & Spreading Seeds

Greetings from Serbia! Over the past two months, we’ve seen God’s hand at work as our church family grows, both spiritually and in life. We’ve shared the Gospel with visitors during Serbia’s Christmas season, traveled to Romania to support a fellow church, and celebrated two baptisms. As we prepare for furlough, we’ve introduced Servant Sunday to help our church members grow in leadership, and we’ve started monthly outreach trips to reach believers in towns without solid churches. We also had the blessing of visiting missionaries in Hungary, strengthening one another in the work of the Gospel. Please pray for continued growth, open hearts, and wisdom as we move forward in ministry. Thank you for your prayers and support!
