Med Spa Marketing in 2027 Part 3: Your Google Business Profile
Before you get worked up about optimizing for GPT, make sure you've taken care of your GBP. Your Google Business Profile. When somebody looks up your med spa, what are they seeing? A strong star rating with a meaningful number of reviews behind it? The right hours and phone number? Great pictures of your actual business? Or a profile you haven't touched in months? In Part 3 of Marketing Your Med Spa in 2027, I'm walking through why I prioritize your Google Business Profile and what I'd focus on to get it in order. We start with how people compare local businesses in Google's Map Pack. Then we get practical about claiming your profile, checking your information, updating your services, and showing the people and experience behind your practice. And then we spend some time on what I consider the holy grail of all of this: your reviews. Your average star rating matters. The number of reviews behind that rating matters. You want a repeatable process for asking people to share their honest experience, instead of hoping they'll think to do it on their own. In this episode: • Why your Google profile deserves a place near the top of your marketing priorities • What the Map Pack is and what people see when they compare nearby businesses • How to create or claim your listing and find the tools to manage it • Why your name, address, phone number, hours, and links need a checkup • Keeping your services current and your original photos front and center • Using a direct review link or QR code at checkout and in follow-up • Building a review-request process your team can actually use • Why public review replies need a patient-privacy check • Why I want this foundation in place before you spend more money getting attention We also preview Part 4: building a brand that gives people a reason to choose you beyond your treatment menu and prices. PHOTO + VIDEO PERMISSIONS A reminder from Part 2: before using patient photos or video in your marketing, get the appropriate written permissions in place. Have your legal or compliance team review what you plan to capture, where you plan to use it, and any required authorization language. Do this before the shoot and before publishing. This episode is marketing education, not legal advice.
