You would think we would know better by now... "you dumb ass..."!

This for me was a fun conversation about a very serious topic, it touches on the current war and therefore I want people to be aware of that before you listen to the podcast.Lucija Popovska is... and I have said this to her face....  a crazy, energetic, outrageous lady who swears like a trouper and doesnt care what people think. This is a quieter more thoughtful side to her that I hope you like. But maybe next time we get wine and you all get to find out about her wild side :)Lucija spent several decades in international development, focusing on human rights, specifically the right to housing, housing finance and the way it may (or may not) marry microfinance, and the role of technology in it.  She has been lucky to have lived for shorter and not so very short periods in 11 countries on 3 continents. Her major achievement in life is that she managed to enjoy all of them. Lucija believes she is a good cook (and is sometimes right), loves her wine (always), sails small boats (whenever she can) and enjoys learning languages (everywhere). Sometimes the four interfere.  She helps manage a software company. Despite that, the company is doing very well.

An artist inspires!

This is another one of those conversations with someone who inspires me. Chantelle Louise is a self-trained artist who grew up struggling with her self-image and others’ opinions, but she didn’t let them beat her.   In fact, she has used that negative energy to fuel a very positive future, which we discuss in our conversation.  I met Chantelle Louise through another organisation we are proud to work with, Merseyside Community Training (MCT). They are a not-for-profit social enterprise that cares about the Liverpool City Region and is ambitious for its future. MCT is based in Birkenhead and was originally established in 2016 with the primary intent to help the most disadvantaged people from the Wirral community.  https://merseysidect.co.uk/  Chantelle, has been part of this initiative and has thrived from their support.  You can find her work at the links below, and she is taking commissions if you are interested in something special for your home or loved ones.LinkedIn: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://uk.linkedin.com/in/chantelle-louise-mcdermott-563b40159&ved=2ahUKEwiynILIhoTyAhWMQUEAHSzuDMwQjjh6BAgFEAE&usg=AOvVaw10IqfcImAq7otkJlNA0swZInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/chantellelouise_artistry/https://www.instagram.com/clsfxmua/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chantellelouiseartistry/https://www.facebook.com/clsfxmua/

An Interview with the Author Tom Beakbane about his new book "How to Understand Everything. Consilience: A new Way to See the World"

This is a first for me, having a recorded conversation with somebody I have just met. I will say however Tom's book is incredibly interesting and challenging in many ways. He takes an alternative look at everything we think is right in the world and challenges some of the traditional ways we think about ourselves and others. It is a challenging read that will make you think but is not that the point.  When I first had the call with Tom, I had only managed to get two thirds of the way through the book, and so I am not sure I have done him the justice he deserves, especially now I have completed It. So, I am hoping that I can persuade him to come back for a second conversation. For now if you wish to contact Tom directly please see the links below.Order the book on Amazon:  https://mybook.to/Understand_Everything How to Understand Everything website. https://howtounderstandeverything.beakbane.com/  What is Consilience?  https://youtu.be/p4DeBJEmGiw LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/company/beakbane-publishing/  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/HowToUnderstandEverything Twitter:  @TomBeakbaneClubhouse discussions WTF Consilience? https://www.joinclubhouse.com/club/wtf-is-consilience
