About the show

50,000 watts of gearhead terror. We're the talk radio blowtorch you want, chock-full of cars, trucks, beers and guns since 2009. We'll be your go-to for gearhead get-some, full of the sliciest canyon carving, dirtiest off-roading, biggest calibers, hairiest sasquatches, loudest explosions, plus the best epic fails, smoking rubble and blue-collar awesomesauce since Top Gear full of beer.

07.24.26 (MP3): Distracted Driving VS Uncontrollable Progress, TriState Driving Doom VS Cops Who Are Not, Critical Mass VS Flash-Takeover Hoodlums, Dodge It VS Ditch It, Skeletons in UK VS Cannonballs in MS, More Robot Car Fails + So Much Snail

While Tri-State hoodlums make a mockery of Critical Mass and drivers in New Jersey are too distracted to see the cops, truck tires are attacking attentive freewaygoers and robot cars continue to plan your doom.  Whatever will you do?  Firstly, consult the experts: the Garage Hour goons are here for you - professional gearheads with geekpower aplenty, we've got da' Motts on your fear of flying tires, flying bears, flailing fat guys and flashmobbing urban slideshowers.      There's also car chases (#because), Johnny Cab (the first wave), cops in gillie suits (not a 'squatch, not a bush, and not eucalyptus), the Bodycount Conundrum (because technology is not on your side), and tuning your wheelbarrow (#becausecaveman). It's in there:  hardwood brooms, Richard the Third, our famous Dig Two Holes in England and You'll Find One Skeleton theory, Civil War cannonballs for fun and profit, and just about all of Snail's "Feral".

07.14.26 (MP3): What Welders for Welding? Gearheads Talk New & Used - Miller, Lincoln, Esab, Forney, Omnipro (Harbor Freight?), & Welds @ Trailers, Bumpers, Repairs, Artsy-Fartsy, & Thicker, Juicier & Soberer Welds, + Fried Squid VS All-You-Can-Eat Sushi

While the hills smolder and good folks wonder why the Front Range won't open up logging (or encourage heating with wood), the Garage Hour goons gathered out in B.F.E. for an hour of knowin' - when it's time to shop for a welder, what do you want?  What welds require which machine?  How much power will you need?  How do you hook it up?  What brands matter more?  What welding are you doing?  New welder or used?  Prices and availability? Recommendations for the rest of your day: try the fried squid but avoid all-you-can-eat sushi.  Cats may not be as evil as we think, but horses and golden retrievers might.  Rabbit meat is pretty damn good in spaghetti sauce.  Be nice to Israel or your pants might explode with you in 'em.  Also, WE'RE STILL PG.

07.11.26 (MP3): Best Junkyard Show @ Best Parts - Demolition Derby Cars, Auto Glass, Car(cas) Demand, European Parts Buying, The LA/San Diego Run in Under 11 Parsecs, Beer Tasting, Dude Fooding, Oil Heating & Mexican Food

Gearheads doing gearhead stuff...  What better a Saturday than sips and shocks; beers and brakes; glasses of ale and boxes full of used parts?  Hostus Maximus Justin Fort and Brown Ryan rolled to the urban fortress that is the grade-A junkyard at Best Foreign Used Parts for an hour of good beer (some local, some very international), good shopping (when your salvage yard is so good people incorporate it in their summer travel plans), good Mexican food (now you know), and good stories about the sipping scene in the 'Springs itself.  Don, Jake and Sam joined in, but Tom and the 'yard dogs were off that day. Beer here: Outlaw Lager, Breck's Funslinger (and a few I.P.A.s), Odell's Blackberry, Hillas and Mythos (from Greece), and Berthod's I.P.A..  Dude Food: Old Chicago, Lou Malnati's, Breckenridge Brewing, and enough Mexican to plug the hole in the Titanic.

07.04.26 (MP3): Happy Birthday, America! Independence Day in B.F.E. (Hangout in da Garadtch), w/ Truck Parts, Good Engines, Wrecked 4Runners, Co. Springs WW2 Air Force Museum, Fireworks VS Mortars, Marines VS Army, Kiel VS Nillson, + Rock & Roll

The Garage Hour goons assembled at Location BFE for an hour of good garagey fun - salvaging parts from rolled trucks, hubcaps versus center caps, some of the more durable engines, and current catalytic convertor costs.  There's also some villains, some mortar rounds, a look at the 'Springs' WW2 Air Force Museum, some dead baby jokes (yeah, I know, we couldn't help ourselves - the chicken started it), and an Excellent Weirdo R.I.P. for Kjell Nillson - better known as Lord Humongous. Still in there: clips versus mags, extension cords, questionable fireworks, a fancy starter, JFS4, the live-fire zone that is Colorado Springs on Independence Day, flybys from the U.S. military (and the French?), and Five-Horse Johnson sets the mood.

06.26.26 (MP3): When DO Animals Attack the Garage Hour? More Hype but Same Man-Eating... Bullets for Bears, Wandering Wolves & Bad Bureaucrats, Fighting & Fleeing for Humans (Even the Dumb Ones), + Citizen Vigilante, Stereo Connectivity & Electric Wizard

Here's the top line (up front, for once...): bears and wolves and meese and bees and pigs and all sorts of wildlife attack humans - you're on their menu.  If you're prepared - right caliber, correct mindset, and knowing we're superior because of our brains and our tools (not our claws or our ability to rip a Honda apart with our teeth), you'll be fine.  However, so many people are wandering into the woods without a whiff of sense or any serious prep, and they're gonna get et.  Don't be an idiot (or a fool) and revel in the opportunity to survive in style.  Probablmaybe.  In the mean time, have fun stocking up on nasty bear rounds and pig-hunting techniques, train the dogs, hide the kids, learn to play dead and keep avoiding Canadians. While we're at it: a Mexican Batman (taping thieves to lamp posts), an American citizen (Vigilante), some sporty stereo wiring (HDMI and S-video and RG-59, oh my), plus a truckload of mama's Electric Wizard.
