Matilda, Harper and Lilyana discuss whether they'd rather be able to travel 10 minutes into the future or 150 years on Tit for Tat Tuesdays! The crew kicked things off with a pop culture recap, getting excited about upcoming tours from Nickelback and Powderfinger, the NBA and Bridgerton. The crew then put their tin foil hats on as they delved into conspiracy theories for International Sceptics Day. Following this, it was time for Tit for Tat Tuesdays! They then discussed the addition of some fun new words into the dictionary, such as 'crashout' and 'meme coin'. The gang revealed what happened on this day in history, such as the founding of DreamWorks Studios. To wrap things up, they discussed their favourite and most underrated DreamWorks movies. After a chaotic start to their morning Sam, Hannah and Makenzie fangirled over all the new music and films that had been released and announced over the week in the pop culture update: including Aussie icon Troy Sivan’s new album ‘she’s the best’, who Sam got Hannah and Makenzie to blink rank alongside some other Australian music Royality. In recognition of Anne Hathaway gracing our screens once again in the screen adaptation of colleen Hoovers best-selling book ‘Verity’ the crew watched her 2001 classic ‘the princess diaries.’ The team also said a very big happy birthday to Aussie icon Hugh Jackman, exposing some of our most unexpected traits and habits, inspired by Jackman’s ability to keep audiences on their toes with his versatility. Sam and Ella kick off with a pop culture update covering Miley Cyrus's rumoured Super Bowl halftime performance and Cats the Musical opening on Broadway on this day in 1982. Midweek confessions get personal. Ella couldn't decide whether to call out to a tram stop to warn people a tram wasn't coming, and Sam got friend zoned in the most classic way possible. Bathtub Day raises the question nobody knew they needed answered. Is it acceptable to eat snacks in the bath? Kate Duncan from The Push joins the show to talk about everything Push Over Festival has in store before Sean from Melbourne Fringe show Dune But Worse drops in with some very interesting costumes and an even more interesting premise. Banana Day, an Australian initiative where bringing a banana to the gym gets you in for free, sparks a conversation about the weirdest ways people have ever paid for something before the show closes on the Melbourne Marathon and Sam's perhaps slightly optimistic assessment of his own running ability. The crew kicked things off with a pop culture recap before turning their attention to World Space Week. Inspired by Pikachu’s trip to space, they imagined spending 6 months in space themselves and chose which fictional character they’d want to bring along. Some went for the most practical companions... while others just wanted someone entertaining to have around. For Tit for Tat Tuesday, Liliana chose a question from one of Terry Denton’s books: would you rather be eaten by ants or lions? The crew had a VERY clear answer to this one! The gang also put different movie genres in a knockout game, eventually deciding which genre they’d be willing to live in for an entire year. Later, they welcomed Madi from BATYR to chat about the organisation—and, of course, her go-to breakfast, which sounded so good that the crew might just have to recreate it next week! In honour of Teacher Appreciation Week, Sam and Makenzie talk about their connection to the day as the children of teachers, and the gang watch Dead Poet's Society, reflecting on their own iconic school moments. Since Melbourne Fringe is in town, the team interviewed Aaron, co-producer and narrator of Lost In Translation, a comedy fringe show where famous movies are run through bad translators to bamboozle and amuse the audience! For International Games Week, Makenzie prepared a guessing game which stumped Sam and Hannah, and the gang breaks down whether the Royal Melbourne Show is really worth it, and what show bags they'd most like to take home.
