Special Interview with Johanna Crawford author of "It takes a Woman to Empower Women"

Today on the Enspire U Media Podcast with Capricia I'm interviewing special guest Johanna Crawford author of "It Takes a Woman to Empower Women, A survivor's Guide to Creating the Life of Her Dreams." Johanna shares her inspiring story of founding the non-profit Web of Benefit, which helped over 2,200 women in Domestic Violence situations, which she calls Intimate Terrorism. Johanna shares how she worked with the women in changing their lives and learning to dream again, making those dreams a reality. Take a listen to today's show and enjoy.Johanna Crawford is the author of “It takes a woman to Empower Women” where she shares her life story and her work with women in Domestic Violence situations teaching them how to create the life of their dreams. At the age of 58 Johanna founded Web of Benefit a non-profit organization where she personally worked with over 2,200 survivors of Domestic Violence in the Boston, Chicago and 26 other states; For the past 50 years Johanna has dedicated herself in community service in a wide variety of areas and organizations such as the Boston Science Museum, Babson College of Foreign Students and Committee and Transition House amongst others. In Dec of 2010 Johanna was awarded the Be ethe Change award by the Massachusetts Conference for woman, and in June of 2011 she and Web of Benefit won the award of excellence in Collaboration given by the statewide Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.
