Conversations with GIPR: Angela Kral, Owner & Director

In this episode, we’re excited to welcome Angela Kral, a passionate educator with nearly 20 years of experience in various teaching roles, including math coach and assistant principal. Her background is deeply rooted in education—her father was the principal of Plant High School in Tampa, FL. But it’s her recent venture, founding South Tampa Microschool (STM), that we’re focusing on in this episode of Conversations with GIPR, as well as the challenges she’s faced in her new role as a tenant of a fairly large space in Tampa. Angela’s journey began during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic when she saw her daughter struggling with virtual learning and worksheets. In response, Angela created hands-on, engaging methods that helped her daughter not only catch up but also develop a genuine love for learning. Inspired by this success, Angela launched a small learning pod in 2020, which quickly evolved into South Tampa Microschool by 2021. By 2024, STM expanded to offer classes from PreK through middle school under a program called Peninsular Prep @ STM. Today, STM continues to grow and provide a unique educational experience that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—along with a lifelong love of learning, something we deeply value here at GIPR. Tune in to hear more about Angela’s journey and her vision for transforming education!

Conversations with GIPR - Joey Brannon, Axiom Strategic

At GIPR, we have always prioritized showing others who we are, and how we work, through our actions. And though we've consistently been a team that values having a strong core culture founded in moral principles, we often struggled with how to define what made us unique and how to communicate that to both ourselves and others. That all changed, though, when we met the next guest of Conversations with GIPR. Upon meeting Joey Brannon and the Axiom Strategic team, we were given the tools to develop and verbalize exactly what it is that is important to us, what makes our team special, and therefore the value it has for our shareholders. It was a natural fit - along with helping teams define their values, Joey started Axiom Strategic with the focus of working with leaders who are building purpose-driven businesses that will outlive the current generation of owners. Axiom does this by creating and executing strategic visions with these businesses, and it is clear Joey practices what he preaches by looking at the company, and the team, he has built at Axiom. Listen below to hear more about his story.

For this episode of Conversations with GIPR, we are joined by Dr. Bob Rohrlack, CEO of Tampa Bay Chamber. Tampa's growth has been exponential over the past 10 years, boasting some of the best sports teams in the nation, rapid development, business incentives attracting even the largest of companies to relocate, and of course, the best airport in the US. All of this has been made possible by the vision and assistance of the Tampa Bay Commerce. However, more important than his ties to the city we call home, Dr. Rohrlack is tied generationally to GIPR through his most important role as father to our Acquisitions Manager Bobby Rohrlack. Tune in to hear about the work of the Chamber, the vision for the continued growth of Tampa Bay, and how Dr. Rohrlack made his way to the top of one of Tampa's most important organizations.
