Beyond the corporate realm, Earllette is a beacon of hope, having founded a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting efforts in her hometown and helping individuals honor their journey to date while charting a path forward through her Semicolon Sweetheart Life Coaching business. Her unwavering dedication to making the world a better place is a testament to the transformative power of passion and purpose. Earllette's story is a reminder that we can all aspire to greatness, not just in our careers but in our contributions to society.
Earlier this summer, I had the honor of meeting Daron Moore, an amazing Org Development and Learning Executive, while serving on a panel of The Learning Exchange Conference, hosted by the Black in L&D Community. Daron was our panel moderator, and from our first conversation...we knew our conversation would require more time and opportunity to dig in and listen to one another's stories. Daron is a strategist, mobilizer, and change catalyst devoted to personalizing growth through the employee experience with over 15 years helping bridge the gap between organizations and the organisms that make them great. A compelling keynote speaker, online educator, full-time father of 3, and part-time coach and mentor. He's grounded in the power of people and passionate about unleashing potential. Our session explores the powerful impact Authentic Leadership has on our sense of identity, and purpose, and how we build and show up for others. Daron shares his teachable point of view on the importance of taking care of your personal "Nucleus" and the value of spending time with yourself by yourself. It is not only valuable...it's critical.
Episode #7 has blown doors open for me, in more ways than I probably express here without writing an essay. LOL One of the most critical reasons for launching the #ConvergingConversations podcast was to explore topics that are compelling, intriguing and to give space and voice to the stories of others. Story is how we make sense of ourselves in the world, our communities and more… In this episode, we dig into the concept of #CodeSwitching, and how people are impacted by it. We explore it through the spaces we occupy: Work, The Military, The Church, and so much more. (Whew!! This was RICH!!) Our Episode Panel? Well, I'll let their intros speak for them: Turiya Gray - Turiya is a Human Resources executive with upwards of 20 years’ experience, currently serving as Chief People Officer at Chicago-based tech company, Jellyvision. She is also the co-host of the HR un-confidential podcast. Her passion for empowering others is grounded through her upbringing as a PK, her service in ministry, and her life and career experiences. Lynette earned a doctoral degree in Strategic Leadership from Southeastern University. Her doctoral focus centered on crisis leadership and creating strategies to Reflect, RE-position and RE-present during critical times. Oshawn Jefferson - Oshawn, is the Chief Vision Officer for Deal Solutions Group, LLC., has more than 10 years of experience as a champion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). He has provided vision, strategy, and operational execution to fortune 500 companies, the department of defense, academia, non-profits, and community organizations with diversity missions, culture, and goals. He also served over 22 years in the U.S. Air Force.

Tiffany Frasier - Tiffany Frasier is all things people. Her focused, people-centric HR approach aligns the people strategy with the business strategy, empowering organizations to meet their operational, financial, and growth objectives. Tiffany brings several years of experience in HR and Operations leadership roles in various industries, including Healthcare. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Distribution Management from Indiana University and her MBA from Kennesaw State University. We unpack how the Change discipline has changed over the years, and how it will continue to need to evolve to stay relevant for those practitioners who want to differentiate themselves in the space. She leverages her service to her country to ensure that those that have served, and those still serving, have a voice and a safe space. Crystal has been a Fellow in the George W. Bush Presidential Center Stand-To Veterans Leadership Program, the Veterans Program for Politics and Civic Engagement at Syracuse University, and the New Politics Leadership Academy. She is also the Founder & CEO of GenOnyx Consulting, LLC, where she provides diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy building and implementation for government-affiliated entities as well as veteran and military service organizations.

We continue to live in a world where the workplace is evolving and changing, hopefully for the better. Today we explore the impact of the workplace on those in the Disabled Community, and how the Future of Work has the ability to impact (and improve) how people with different needs are able to contribute and be productive. We are joined by Maryann DeJesus, who shares her journey as a Latina Executive, Mother and Advocate in the disabled community, looking for ways to design and build inclusive solutions for all.
