The Johnny Tobacconaut Maduro just landed on shelves and tonight we're cracking it open live with the whole crew. If you've been following the Room101 lineup, you already know what the original Tobacconaut brought to the table. Now Matt Booth and AJ Fernandez have taken that blend, wrapped it in a dark Nicaraguan maduro leaf, and pushed it into full-bodied territory. Earth, espresso, dark cocoa, and a profile that builds as you go. We've been looking forward to this one and tonight we're finding out if it lives up to the hype. This is also going to be one of those episodes where we just have fun. The cigar is literally named after a fictional astronaut, so we're leaning all the way into it. We've got some space-themed segments lined up that are going to be ridiculous, we'll talk about why Matt Booth might be the most interesting personality in the cigar industry, and we'll get the crew's honest take on where this maduro sits in the Room101 lineup. It's going to be a good time.My name is Tim and I'm the host of this show, but YOU are the co-host. Your comments and questions drive the episode. Settle in, grab a drink, and let's get into it.

Cigars Daily LIVE 432: You Might Be A Cigar Hoarder

There's a moment in every cigar enthusiast's life where you look at your collection and think "this might be a problem." Maybe it was the second humidor. Maybe it was when you started hiding boxes from your spouse. Maybe it was when you realized you have cigars from 2019 that you forgot existed. Wherever that moment was for you, tonight we're talking about it.We built The Cigar Collecting Spectrum and we're putting everybody on it. From the guy who doesn't even own a humidor yet all the way to the person who has lost complete control of their inventory and hasn't seen the bottom of their coolidor since the Obama administration. We're all on this spectrum somewhere. The only question is where. And whether or not you're willing to admit it.

Cigars Daily LIVE 431: America's 13th Favorite Holiday is Technically Worth Celebrating

Father's Day is America's 13th favorite holiday. Thirteenth. Behind Halloween. Behind Labor Day. Behind New Year's Eve AND New Year's Day, which honestly shouldn't even count as two separate holidays. It has a 67% approval rating, which means a third of the country actively does not approve of Father's Day. And this year it's not even the biggest thing happening in June. The country is turning 250, there's a UFC cage match on the White House lawn, and somewhere in the middle of all that, dad is expected to act surprised when he opens a gift he picked out, paid for, and wrapped himself.Tonight we're giving Father's Day the celebration it deserves. Which is to say, a moderate one. We're featuring My Father Cigars because the name writes itself and because the Garcia family has built one of the most respected lineups in the industry. We'll walk through the My Father portfolio, talk about which ones belong in a Father's Day gift, and break down what makes this brand one of the few that every cigar enthusiast should have in their humidor. We'll also take a hard look at the holiday ranking list because there are some serious questions that need to be answered. How is Easter only 65%? Who are the people who don't approve of Thanksgiving?

Cigars Daily LIVE 430: Tonight We Open The VALUT!

Every cigar person has that shelf. The one in the back of the humidor that you don’t touch. The aged ones. The rare ones. The ones you bought for a special occasion that never came. The ones you keep rotating to the back because the moment never feels big enough. Tonight we’re done waiting. The whole Cigars Daily LIVE crew is pulling their most guarded, most precious, most untouchable cigars out of hiding and we’re burning them down together. Here’s the thing. There is no special occasion tonight. We made one up. Because the truth is, if you keep waiting for the perfect moment to light that cigar you’ve been saving, you’ll never light it. The occasion is that we decided today is the day. That’s it. And honestly, that might be the most important lesson in this whole hobby. Stop saving everything for someday. Cigars Daily LIVE 429: Limited Edition Cigar Cage Match

Two cigars. Same brand. Same blender. Completely different weight classes. Tonight we’re locking them both in the cage and only one is walking out with the win.One of these cigars was built for the backyard. Grab a box, throw it in the cooler, show up to the cookout and be everybody’s favorite person. The other one was built for a leather chair, a pour of something barrel-aged, and a night where you’re not in any hurry. One costs about half the price of the other. Both are brand new limited editions that just hit shelves. And both were blended by one of the most prolific names in the business. So which one actually delivers? That’s what the cage match is for.My name is Tim and I’m the host of this show, but YOU are the co-host. Your comments and questions drive the episode. Settle in, grab a drink, and let’s get into it.I’m not telling you what the cigars are until we light them up. The crew already has their picks locked in and I guarantee there’s going to be disagreement. We’ll score both cigars round by round on flavor, construction, complexity, value, and the ultimate question: would you buy a box? The chat gets a vote in every round. Cigars Daily LIVE 428: Made in America. Every. Single. Leaf.

July 4th, 2026 is America's 250th birthday. Two and a half centuries since the Declaration of Independence was signed and the whole experiment got started. The country is throwing a party and the cigar industry showed up with something I honestly did not expect. An actual American puro. Every single leaf grown right here in the United States. No Nicaraguan filler. No Dominican binder. No Ecuadorian wrapper. Just American dirt, American seed, American tobacco, and a barber pole wrapper that looks exactly like what you'd expect a cigar called "America" to look like.Tonight we're breaking down the CAO America 250th Anniversary blend, talking about what U.S. grown tobacco actually brings to the table, and getting into a bigger conversation about the role American tobacco has played in the cigar world for the last 250 years. Most people don't realize that tobacco was one of the driving forces behind the American colonies. It was currency. It was the reason Jamestown survived. It built entire economies before this country even had a flag. And now in 2026, someone built an entire cigar out of it. We're going to talk about whether it actually works. We'll talk about U.S. Broadleaf, Connecticut Shade, Pennsylvania leaf, what makes American tobacco different from what's grown in Nicaragua or Honduras or the Dominican Republic, and whether a true American puro can stand up against the competition. The crew has their takes and we want yours. Have you tried it? Are you skeptical? Do you even care about where your tobacco comes from? Drop it in the chat. This show doesn't work without you.

Cigars Daily LIVE 427: Is My Father's New Cigar Better Than the Blue?

Last year My Father dropped the Blue and it changed the conversation. A Honduran puro from the Garcia family, produced at their brand new factory, and it flew off shelves faster than anyone expected. Some people called it a home run. Some thought it was just okay. But nobody ignored it. Now the second cigar out of that same Honduras factory has arrived and it's called La Lealtad, which means "The Loyalty." Tonight we're putting it to the test.La Lealtad is a different animal than the Blue. Where the Blue was a full Honduran puro wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado, La Lealtad brings an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro Rosado wrapper over a double binder from Honduras and Nicaragua with Honduran and Nicaraguan filler. It's described as medium to full and reportedly pushes the flavor harder than the Blue did. The Garcia family is clearly not sitting still with this Honduras operation and tonight we're breaking down whether this second release lives up to the first one or surpasses it entirely.

Cigars Daily LIVE 424: Cigars Are About to Get Weird

PCA 2026 is right around the corner and the leaks are already out of control. Plasencia is changing their entire logo and brand identity for the first time in forever. My Father just announced a brand new release called La Lealtad coming out of their Honduras factory. And Oliva just dropped maybe the most bizarre release I’ve seen in a long time. A Serie V Melanio humidor shaped like a literal soccer ball. I’m not making that up. Tonight we’re getting into all of it.This is going to be one of those weeks where the industry shows you exactly how strange things can get when everybody’s trying to make a splash before the biggest trade show of the year. Some of it is brilliant. Some of it is bizarre. And honestly, some of it I have no idea what to make of yet. That’s what tonight is about. We’re going to break down what’s leaked, what’s confirmed, and what it all means for the cigars you’re actually going to be smoking later this year. We’ll cover the Plasencia rebrand and what the new look says about where the brand is headed. We’ll talk about the My Father La Lealtad announcement and what we know so far about the second cigar coming out of their Honduras factory. And yes, we are absolutely going to spend some time on that Oliva soccer ball humidor because how could we not. Plus whatever else has dropped between now and showtime, because at this rate something new gets announced every six hours.
