Is Something Haunting You Because You Won't Own Your Power?

"Know the difference in your body between love and everything else." Modern spirituality is tweaked because "light" is treated as automatically good and darkness as automatically dangerous. Mellissa shares how seeing ghosts, working with demons and clearing haunted houses taught her to pay less attention to spiritual packaging and more attention to power, choice, and what she can sense in her own body. One particularly wild house clearing led back to a woman who had spent years rejecting her own ability to see spirits. From there, Mellissa explores suppressed spiritual gifts, the trouble with making spiritual work into a war, and her role as a "bridge maker" connecting across realms. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • Discovering she could see dead people and realizing they had less power than she had assumed • Why her early haunted house clearings looked like spiritual warfare, and what changed after doing more of them • The poltergeist case involving a six-year-old child and the surprising conversation Mellissa had with the presence in the house • How rejecting her spiritual abilities had become tangled up with one woman's fear of her mother and her own power • Why beings associated with "light" are not automatically trustworthy and underground beings are not automatically dangerous • Using the body to discern love from greed, fear mongering, manipulation, and other energies across spiritual realms Timestamps • 00:00 Seeing dead people, sorting spiritual guides, and recognizing personal choice • 02:24 Testing the theory in graveyards and beginning to clear haunted houses • 04:12 The house where a six-year-old child was being scratched at night • 05:45 "Who hired you?" and the unexpected answer from the demon • 09:28 Suppressed spiritual gifts, underworld guardians, and the problem with labeling light and dark • 11:50 Spiritual discernment in the body and becoming a bridge maker across realms Free Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords: spiritual discernment, how to develop spiritual discernment, spiritual gifts, intuitive awakening, seeing spirits, seeing ghosts, spirit guides, connecting with spirit guides, spiritual boundaries, setting boundaries with spirits, suppressed spiritual gifts, psychic abilities, intuitive gifts, haunted house clearing, ghosts and spirits, working with spirits, dark energies, light and dark spirituality, underworld spirits, underworld guardians, spiritual protection, trusting your intuition, discernment in the body, Channel Your Genius, Mellissa Seaman

Animals, Elements, Spirits: A Guide to Nature's Layers

"The entry level for engaging with the Earth guardians, the profound Earth powers, is always animals. Go to animals first." Connecting with nature spirits and elemental guides can freak modern people out, so Mellissa starts with the part that tends to feel most accessible: animals. In this episode, she explores the layers of relating with animal guides, elemental energies, and the distinct personalities she experiences in the natural world. Mellissa also shares her encounters with the tall spirits on her own land, what she learned from meeting a wounded spirit of the land, and why boundaries belong in spiritual relationships too. She gets into human choice, opening communication with non-human beings, and what can happen when we consciously ally with an element like water. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • Why animals can be an accessible starting place for working with Earth-based spiritual guides • Moving from animal guides into fire, water, Earth, and other elemental energies • Mellissa's experience with 20-foot-tall spirits running alongside her car on her forested property • Approaching a wounded spirit of the land with empathy and clear boundaries • Opening communication with nature spirits without getting hung up on labels like fairies, trolls, or elves • Human choice, focused intention, and Mellissa's experience of consciously allying with water Free Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords: nature spirits, elemental spirits, elemental guides, animal spirit guides, animal guides, Earth spirituality, connecting with nature, spiritual connection with nature, Earth-based spirituality, working with nature spirits, how to connect with nature spirits, connecting with elemental spirits, fire and water elements spirituality, Earth energy, land spirits, spirits of the land, communicating with nature spirits, working with animal guides, spiritual guides, connecting with the elements, nature spirit communication, water spirituality, spiritual boundaries, intuitive connection with nature

Why Nothing Natural Is Evil: Reclaiming the Devil, the Dark, and Your Own Desire

"Your will decides what you make important. Your will decides what you do. That's yours. That is your sacred free choice." This episode explores shadow work, elemental energies, desire, and the cultural conditioning that teaches us to associate darkness and the raw natural world with danger. Mellissa looks at what happens when fear of the primal, earthy, instinctive parts of nature gets turned inward toward our own desires, ego, shadow, and wants. She also gets into free will and spiritual discernment, including why hearing from spirit guides, ancestors, or elemental beings doesn't mean handing over your decision-making. From the Devil card to fire beings to the things we were taught might be lurking under the bed, this is a conversation about becoming less afraid of what is natural without letting every impulse run the game. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • How Western cultural conditioning taught many of us to associate elemental beings, darkness, witchcraft, and the raw natural world with danger • The connection between rejecting primal nature and suppressing our own shadow, desires, wants, and kinks • Why spirit guides, ancestors, elemental guardians, and other forms of guidance are perspectives, not authorities over your free will • What fire can teach us about passion without making passion the only thing directing our choices • How Mellissa's tarot teacher reframed the Devil card as an invitation to notice denied desires and ego • Why teaching fear of the Devil can interfere with our own ability to discern what feels loving, harmful, real, or mean Timestamps • 00:01 How we learned to fear elemental beings, darkness, and the raw natural world • 01:24 What rejecting nature has to do with suppressing our shadows, desires, wants, and kinks • 01:53 Spirit guides, elemental guardians, free will, and who gets to make the final decision • 02:56 Reclaiming the Devil card and acknowledging suppressed ego and desire • 03:39 Fear of the Devil and the idea that what is natural must be bad • 04:14 Teaching children fear of the Devil versus helping them recognize what feels loving or harmful Free Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore C onnect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords shadow work, shadow self, Devil tarot card meaning, the Devil tarot card, reclaiming desire, repressed desires, ego and desire, spiritual discernment, intuition and free will, spirit guides, elemental beings, elemental spirituality, elemental energy, spiritual guidance, working with spirit guides, ancestors and spirit guides, natural spirituality, darkness and spirituality, primal nature, shadow integration, tarot and shadow work, fear of the Devil, somatic awareness, spiritual intuition, intuitive development

Fairy Tales Are Encrypted Messages About Your Dark Power

"You can't live in both worlds while you reject the lower one." Fairy tales may carry traces of older spiritual traditions, earth-based wisdom, and ways of relating to nature that were pushed out of accepted religious and cultural stories. In this episode, Mellissa explores trolls, fairies, dragons, water spirits, stone guardians, and the darker original Grimm tales as possible remnants of humanity's relationship with the elemental world. She also gets into the part Disney cleaned up: nature is beautiful, destructive, strange, and occasionally pretty brutal. Connecting with the "below" asks us to make room for that complexity, and to consider what these old stories might still be telling us about our bodies, the Earth, and our own dark power. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: Why fairies, trolls, giants, dragons, and other mythic creatures may point toward older relationships with earth spirits and elemental forces How fairy tales and oral traditions carried spiritual mysteries through generations What the original Grimm fairy tales reveal when the dark creatures are understood as agents of change rather than simple villains Why connecting with the Earth also means making peace with nature's destructive and primal sides A guided visualization to meet an Earth Guardian connected to you since childhood The group's experiences with rock beings, dragons, waterfalls, insects, fireflies, underground water, gold, and other elemental presences Free Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords fairy tale symbolism, spiritual meaning of fairy tales, Grimm fairy tales, dark fairy tales, fairy tale archetypes, hidden meaning in fairy tales, earth spirits, elemental spirits, nature spirits, Earth Guardians, connecting with nature spirits, elemental beings, fairies and folklore, trolls in mythology, spiritual symbolism, ancient spiritual traditions, earth-based spirituality, nature-based spirituality, dark feminine power, shadow work spirituality, spiritual archetypes, intuitive gifts, spirit guides, guided visualization, connecting with the Earth, folklore and spirituality

Your Spirit Guides Are Your Board of Directors

"I don't have any greater business partner than spirit." Spirit guides can be powerful advisors in business and life, but Mellissa doesn't expect them to run the whole show. In this episode, she shares how she relates to her guides as a kind of spiritual board of directors, offering perspective on soul purpose, relationships, collaborators, and the bigger picture. She also gets specific about where their expertise ends, why her relationship with spirit feels more like an ongoing conversation than formal prayer, and what happens when accomplished founders and professionals begin recognizing their own guidance without needing her to translate it for them. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • Why Mellissa thinks of her spirit guides as her board of directors • What she trusts her guides to advise her on, and what she doesn't • The difference between spiritual perspective and practical human expertise around money, marketing, business, and the body • How her relationship with prayer changed from her Catholic upbringing to an ongoing, collaborative relationship with spirit • Why she relates to the divine through multiple guides and different faces or personalities • What happens when founders, CEOs, academics, and other professionals begin hearing and recognizing their guides for themselves More Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords spirit guides, how to connect with spirit guides, how to communicate with spirit guides, spiritual guidance, spirit guide communication, connecting with your spirit guides, how spirit guides communicate, intuition and spiritual guidance, intuitive guidance, spirit guides and intuition, signs from spirit guides, spirit guides in dreams, divine guidance, soul purpose, intuitive leadership, spiritual guidance in business, spirit guides for business, communicating with spirit, how to hear your spirit guides, relationship with spirit

This NASA Engineer Can Read Your Nervous System Like a Blueprint

"The body is telling the truth long before the mind catches up." Aerospace Engineer turned nervous system specialist Amanda Smith joins Mellissa for a conversation about the hidden patterns behind stress, burnout, chronic symptoms, and intuitive sensitivity. Drawing from aerospace engineering, systems thinking, and years of studying the body, Amanda explains how the nervous system leaves clues that can be read like a blueprint. Together they explore why highly sensitive people often carry more than they realize, how the body adapts under pressure, and why understanding your own nervous system can change the way you approach healing, creativity, and daily life. In This Episode: • Amanda's path from NASA aerospace engineer to nervous system specialist and Body Whisperer • The four Cosmic Sensitive types and how each nervous system responds differently to stress • Why highly sensitive, intuitive people often experience burnout, mysterious physical symptoms, and emotional overload • How the body develops protective patterns based on environment, history, and lived experience • Why modern life overwhelms the nervous system and what constant information exposure does to the body • Practical ways to begin working with your body's natural signals instead of pushing through them Timestamps: 00:00 Amanda's unusual path from NASA engineering to nervous system work 04:30 The Cosmic Sensitive Quiz and the four nervous system types 12:30 Why modern life keeps the nervous system under constant pressure 18:40 Learning to read the body's signals instead of overriding them 27:20 Breaking lifelong productivity patterns and creating new nervous system habits 38:15 Where to take the quiz and learn more about Amanda's work About Amanda: Amanda Smith is a former NASA aerospace engineer turned medical intuitive and Body Whisperer. Why Being Impossible to Categorize Is Actually Your Superpower

"The people who are meant for your work should recognize themselves in what you stand for." Building a business around broad categories and familiar labels often leaves out the very thing that makes your work irreplaceable. In this episode, Mellissa Seaman explores why your manifesto is one of the strongest tools for attracting ideal clients, communicating your values, and making your work impossible to confuse with anyone else's. Drawing from her own business, Mellissa shares how deeply held beliefs, clear boundaries, and even the opinions that make you an outlier become part of your brand. She also explores the deeper question beneath every manifesto by following your "why" until you reach the reason your work exists at all. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • Why categories help people find your work but never tell the whole story • How manifesto statements create stronger referrals by making your unique perspective obvious • The difference between values everyone claims and beliefs that genuinely set you apart • Identifying the boundaries and non-negotiables that belong in your business • Following your deepest motivation until you uncover the soul-level purpose behind your work • Practical ways to use manifesto statements on your website, marketing, quizzes, and client funnels More Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords: business manifesto, personal brand messaging, brand positioning, authentic marketing, business values, thought leadership, personal branding, unique value proposition, niche marketing, magnetic marketing, ideal clients, entrepreneur mindset, intuitive business, conscious business, spiritual entrepreneur, business beliefs, manifesto statements, personal brand strategy, authentic business growth, messaging that attracts ideal clients

Your Inner Sage: Your Secret Value comes from your Lived Experience

"You don't get to be the elder, you don't get to be the wise one, until you've really lived it." The Sage archetype is the wisdom leader who speaks from lived experience, hard-won lessons, and the perspective that comes from having moved through every earlier stage of leadership. In this episode, Mellissa explores the final archetype on the outer Wheel of Wisdom and the kind of authority that develops when you no longer need to prove how much you know. She looks at the Sage as mentor, storyteller, collaborator, and keeper of a much longer view. This is leadership that listens for wisdom across the whole group, helps other people rise, and considers what we inherited from those who came before us and what we are leaving for generations still to come. This is the wisdom of the elder, without having to be really old. In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: How the seven previous archetypes on the Wheel of Wisdom prepare us for the Sage Why Sage leadership comes from experience, including the mistakes and lessons we learned the hard way Storytelling as a form of leadership that creates deep trust The Sage as an open-minded, collaborative leader who can hold multiple perspectives The difference between teaching, managing, and becoming a true mentor who helps others rise beyond you Seven-generation thinking and the Sage's responsibility to both the past and the future Timestamps 00:00 How the seven archetypes of the Wheel of Wisdom lead to the Sage 03:23 Why wisdom has to be lived before it can be embodied 03:48 Hard-won experience, storytelling, and the deep trust of Sage leadership 05:08 Open-minded leadership and the wisdom of the true elder 06:23 Moving from authority and management into mentorship 07:29 Seven-generation thinking, legacy, and the deeper archetypes that come next Resources Mentioned: Activation Circle: https://channelyourgenius.com/channel-your-genius-activation-circle More Resources: Listen to the Sage Drum Journey in the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com Keywords sage archetype, Sage archetype leadership, wisdom archetype, Sage leadership, wise leadership, wisdom in leadership, leadership archetypes, archetypes of leadership, inner Sage, Sage personality archetype, wise leader archetype, elder wisdom, elder leadership, lived experience in leadership, intuitive leadership, spiritual leadership, conscious leadership, leadership through storytelling, mentorship and leadership, collaborative leadership, generational leadership, seven generations leadership, legacy leadership, Wheel of Wisdom, feminine leadership archetypes, leadership and intuition

Coming Out from Undercover with Your Intuitive Genius

"For years, I felt like I was an undercover agent." Mellissa Seaman on intuitive gifts, professional credibility, and the expensive part of hiding the deeper knowing that may be making you more valuable than you realize. You might look completely rational on the outside. Professional voice. Good credentials. Excellent ability to say the reasonable thing in the meeting. And then at home, you're pulling Tarot cards, watching for signs, opening a book to a random page, or listening to the next song on random shuffle like it's a message from God. Which it often is, we are pretty sure! In this episode, Mellissa talks about the Undercover Agents for God: people who seem like totally straight professionals, and are actually, secretly, deeply intuitive. Some are founders. Some are scientists. Some are financial advisors, techies, executives, or square-seeming cats with very active spiritual lives. Their intuitive discernment is often part of how they got into those positions of power in the first place. The tricky part comes when the source of the knowing has to stay hidden all the time. You keep charging for the visible skill while giving away the deeper gift for free. That is the expensive part of being undercover. So what would it take to come out from undercover with skill, integrity, and language that actually serves the room? In This Episode: Why many respected professionals are secretly using intuitive gifts in their work already How hiding the source of your knowing can cost you money, clarity, recognition, and self-trust Why your intuitive genius may be the very thing that makes people trust you, open up to you, and respect your work If you're ready to stop treating your intuitive gifts like the embarrassing cousin who has to wait in the car, you'll like this one. Where Science Meets Spirit: Where Are You on the Woo Scale?

"You don't have to be woo-woo to be an intuitive genius. You heard me!" Mellissa Seaman on the Woo Scale, intuitive genius, and why translation may be the real leadership skill when you're trying to bridge mystery and real life. You might be analytical, professional, grounded, and still deeply intuitive. Maybe your knowing comes through as a gut feeling. Maybe it shows up as a creative download. Maybe you "just know" something before the spreadsheet catches up. Or maybe you're full-on spirit guides, angels, soul mission, blue flame, and crystal programming. Dude. Whatever. We don't have perfect words for any of this stuff anyway. In this episode, Mellissa talks about the Woo Scale, a playful way to understand how people translate mystery. Some people speak fluent woo. Some people speak instinct, experience, and "weird stuff happening." The Woo Scale isn't here to rank who's more spiritual. It's about talking about the deep stuff in language the person in front of you can actually receive. Because eventually, intuitive knowing has to land somewhere real. In the product line. The timing. The sales conversation. The hiring decision. The next right move. So where do you fall on the Woo Scale? And how fluent are you with folks at either end? In this episode: Why non-woo people can still be deeply intuitive, even when their language sounds more like instinct, flow state, or professional discernment How the Woo Scale helps intuitive leaders translate mystery without making people perform belief Why Mellissa loves the middle of the Woo Scale, where mystical wisdom and real-world results can both have a say If you're learning to trust your intuitive genius without giving up your intelligence, your credibility, or your professional language, you'll like this one.
