moving from my childhood hometown
i cried in this no i didnt, youre lying. this topic is something i have been grieving for the last i would say mentally a year. it officially happened. my parents moved out to colorado and out of my childhood home. grief. what do they say it comes in stages. denial, happened. i was like nah thats not going to happen, anger, happened. i was so upset i feel lost i felt like my parents were throwing away my childhood memories i felt like they were ripping those away from me (that's simply not was happening but thats how i took it) bargaining, happened. what if we kept the cottage and then sold the house, what if we got another cottage on owasco lake to keep that connection to upstate ny. depression, happened and i think still happening, but getting closer to acceptance and would have to say ive been going back in forth. being away from it all here in charleston its easier to accept. BUT, sad feelings come and go about the grief of my childhood house and slightly losing that tie to a core foundational memory and place of claire martin
