85% of Founders Are Building Against Themselves (Here's Why)

85% of the established female founders I've read for this year sat across from me telling me their business felt misaligned with how they're actually designed to work. Not how they wish they worked. Not how they thought they should. How they were genuinely built to work - at the level of their nervous system, their wiring, their chart. This episode is the diagnostic underneath that pattern. I bumped what I'd planned because of a recent client call. She came on frazzled, head all over the place, naming herself as "all-or-nothing" - and what she was describing wasn't all-or-nothing at all. It was enthusiasm-led, energy-led, chart-coherent work she'd been doing for years without having the words for it. She'd been operating beautifully and telling herself a harsh story about it. She's not the exception. She's the pattern. In this episode I'm naming the distinction most founders miss - the difference between working against yourself (the day-to-day execution being wrong for your wiring - wrong pace, wrong content cadence, wrong rhythm) and building against yourself (the structural choices being wrong for your wiring - wrong offers, wrong pricing, wrong business model, wrong positioning). Most founders do both. The patterns compound. And the cost isn't failure - it's the energy tax you've been paying for years without knowing you were paying it. I'm walking through three client cases - completely different charts, completely different leaks, same underlying diagnostic. The depth-wired founder who built a high-volume business. The public-teaching founder stuck in 1:1 bespoke work. The Capricorn-anchored founder launching something new every six weeks. None of them are failing.
