In the conversation with Jonathan, we learn a little about his arranged marriage - which seems to have worked out really well for him. We talk about future kids for them - and how many is he thinking. We realized that Jonathan didn't watch any quality TV when he completely missed a Seinfeld reference. We learned that Jonathan speaks Tim's spiritual language - which is Little Rosie's breakfast. We learned what he went to college for and what a Biblical Study degree is - also that a Master of Divinity degree has nothing to do with the white candy with a pecan or cherry on top. Apparently, when he was getting his Biblical Studies degree, they completely bypassed why Naaman was baptized 7 times in the Jordan River. We didn't even question whether he dipped or sprinkled - or was he an infant. They also didn't cover why pastors lay their watches on the pulpit in a big show...which for those of you who don't know either...it literally means nothing since they pay no attention to it.Finally - we learn how he came to be at Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus and what he does for us. Thankfully, he gave us some insight into what our Prospecting Team does here since it's been a mystery for the majority of us.
On this episode, we talk with Stuartt Clark - by his own admission, the hardest worker on the Prospecting Team. We'll dig down into who Stuartt really is - although we never touch on why he spells his name with 2 "t's", we do dig into his sordid past as a host at a steak house in Pennsylvania. It may or may not result in a future road trip. Somehow we worked Zack Lightfoot into the conversation who will be on a future episode but this will give you a little taste of what that will be like. You'll discover a little about Stuartt's family on this episode and what is the one thing he would want if he were stranded on a deserted island.
On this episode, we'll be learning all things about Lowell...well, maybe not all things, but certainly a lot of things. Things like - where's he from - why are the counties so small in Kentucky - what are 2 businesses missing in his county that are in every other county? We'll learn how he migrated to Huntsville - even though he took the roundabout way. Where'd he meet his wife - and how exactly did that happen - it's a God story for sure.Listen to Lowell describe his first time playing the guitar at church—it'll make you wonder if he invented the Elvis leg shake instead of Elvis.Find out what Lowell's golf handicap is - and then about Stephen and Tim's extensive golf knowledge as they grill him about his golf game. Finally - what's the deal with Lowell breaking the same arm repeatedly?!?
Our conversation with Tony was very enlightening, to say the least. As it turns out, mild-mannered Tony Craig is really Superman in disguise. A couple of things he shared with us conjured up an image of Baywatch slow motion running...another image made me think of Katniss Evergreen's skills in Hunger Games... no, not the burning dress...think bows and arrows. This one is a must-listen. Tony took us totally by surprise and he just might take you by surprise too.
On this episode we talk to one of the few actual Huntsville native people - Stacey Spray! Stacey talks about her run-in with the long arm of the law when she rolled her sister's yard. Did the police capture her for this heinous crime - or is she still on the run? She will discuss the advantages of single-ply vs double-ply when rolling yards. Stacey is also a pickleball player. Stephen asked intriguing questions about that - like can you play that game with a ball that hasn't been pickled - or does it have to be a pickled ball? Lastly - can she still spell onomonopia - and can she use it in a sentence?
Of the interviews we've done so far, Stephanie's interview has been the most fun. We laughed so much while talking with her. Join us and learn more about Blake...I mean Stephanie. Blake is Stephanie's husband - and we ended up talking about him a lot. Stephanie tells us about her first job, how she met the famous Blake, and how she came to work at Brindlee. Join the conversation and laugh along with us.
Listen in to the conversation as we talk with Michael McCollum and find out all kind of fun things like - where is he from originally, how'd he meet his wife, if he could one thing over again, what would it be? What concert was his favorite? Has he ever "teared up" at a movie...and much more!
Listen to the conversation as Dan tells us about his legendary catcher skills - along the lines of Yogi Berra. Where did he take his now wife on their first date? He talks about playing with dolls...for real... Then learn some fascinating facts about Asian culture and sharing a meal with them. Lastly - what cartoon character would Dan like to hang out with - and why? All this and more!
Join us as we have a conversation with the one and only Nate Smith - our company president! We'll delve in to how he met his wife and more. Then - did our company chaplain really tell him it was okay to lie - "this time" - while playing 2 truths and a lie?!? What did Nate say about hair - and was he REALLY in a big hair band? What's he looking forward to in his 90's? Is Bigfoot real? You won't want to miss his answers.
Today's interview is with Kameron Helmlinger. He is an intern sent to BMFA from Sovereigns Capital and worked in the office with our company president Nate Smith. Join us as we talk about everything from sports to church to family.
