A lighthearted podcast that interviews Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus employees so you can learn more about their story and their work at Brindlee. Additionally, guests from around the fire service will join the podcast from time to time. Get to know the team!

On this episode, we will talk with Joey Craig as he introduces the newest podcast show called The Burning Edge.

Look, you know the drill. Aaron's here. Aaron talks. We occasionally make audible whimpering sounds that might be mistaken for attempts at interjection. This week's planned topic was to get to know him and what he does here at BMFA. What we got was... Aaron. Just... Aaron. For an 35 minutes. Enjoy? Or endure? Honestly, we're not sure anymore. Just press play. What's the worst that could happen? (Don't answer that, Aaron might hear you).

On this episode, we talk with Billy and Paula Claunch. What's their story? Will it be made into a Hallmark Christmas movie one day?Does Billy really use SalesForce at home? ...is Wiki next? What's it like being married to a hard-charging Brindlee employee like Billy?

Jenny is one of our newer employees. We talked with her about what that's like. Was she treated well...by sales...by prospecting. She is working ad an admin for our sales team as well as an executive assistant for Billy...God love her...bless her heart...She spent - and continues to spend lots of time traveling. We thought maybe she was a gypsy but she denied that being a factor. She grew up in Decatur - where "field parties" were apparently a thing. Not really sure what those were...without a Piggly Wiggly, I guess you just have to find a place to congregate - and maybe do some cow-tipping.She tells us a little of her and her husband's Hallmark story. Finally, what is something no one knows about Jenny? Hear it here first on this podcast!

This episode, we talk with Chris Crutchfield, who we find out was a local football star - and not in a PeeWee league. Find out where Chris and his friends from highschool hung out. It may or may not have involved pigs. He was a little vague when we dug in because we knew your inquiring minds would want to know.Growing up, we learned where Chris worked as a teenager - and that if you need a present wrapped, he's your guy. If you want to know more, you'll just have to listen to this episode.Chris attended a very small relatively unknown college in Alabama. I think it was called the University of Alabama - we're not even sure if it's still in existence.Chris talked about a song sung at his wedding that might surprise you. It did us, but it made sense once he explained it.One thing we figured out in this episode - it's obvious Chris is a strong believer, but we think maybe he has the gift of evangelism. He kept turning the conversation back to Christ multiple times during our conversation. Do you think you know Chris well - better listen to the podcast...it might reveal some stuff you were completely unaware of about him...don't worry...it's all good.

We're talking about Dalton Tibbles - don't confuse this episode with "Trouble with Tribbles". For those of you who are not Star Trek (the original series) fans, you're probably wondering what we're talking about. Google it. At the risk of offending Star Trek fans, it wasn't one of the best episodes. When we say he's a man of mystery - we mean that. While he may know what town he was born in, he has no idea where that town actually is.We talk a little about his brother-in-law - who Dalton adores. but the most interesting thing is his preference in music. Most of you are probably thinking he likes all things Barry Manilow or Neil Diamond or Hall & Oates but it's not - it's also not Meghan Trainor - who is very talented for the record...After you hear this episode, Dalton will no longer be a mystery.

On this episode, we talk with Connor Brown. Connor is a seasoned podcaster - although you wouldn't know it by the one-word answers he gave us initially...until he got warmed up.We discovered that Connor is - in his words - "unashamed to be from Kentucky". We weren't aware that was a thing, but apparently it is. Granted he had no idea Daniel Boone resided in Kentucky. We learned what Connor did for his first job - spoiler alert - it had to do with the hot spot of Louisville, Walmart...carts...remote control cart pushers...and his high school friends. We also learned that Connor likes to use big words - which Stephen and I had to google to see what he was talking about on the show. Finally, what would Connor do if his house was full of golf balls? You won't know unless you listen to the podcast. It's an over-the-top reaction.

On this episode, we talk with Lisa Kirby - who was born and raised in Arab, Alabama...which makes her an Alabama Arabian. We just learned the tip of the iceberg with Lisa during this show. There is so much more to her than what we were able to cover in the few minutes we have here.We did learn that Lisa served as a hostess - where she learned how to tie a tie. She may or not be working on a Youtube video showing how a hostess should tie a tie - also how to seat people properly without saying things like "you're going to sit down and like it!" Again...not in this episode, but there may or may not be something in the future...Lisa will talk about her prowess as a hunter as well as her passion to hoard cups.Side note for everyone - if she is playing Nickelback music, it's best to turn around and go the other way.Lisa has been part of the Brindlee family for a long time and there are a lot of stories we could tell - but that's for another episode...

Dustin was super excited to be on the show with us. You can tell by his enthusiastic "mmmhmmm" response when we talk about how thrilled we are to be talking with him.Dustin was a regular "Chatty-Cathy" during the show....or not... We had to work to get more than 5 words at a time out of him. Dustin is definitely a man of few words. Which just means when he talks, you better listen!Dustin lives in the metropolis of Oneonta and has declared it God's country - so we felt the need to point out the real location of God's country. We'll learn how Dustin met his wife Traci - and it all started with a locker. It's a Hallmark story, complete with a little town of Oneonta. The only thing missing is a Christmas Tree farm.We talk grandkids, mission trips, and more! It's worth the listen!

In the conversation with Jonathan, we learn a little about his arranged marriage - which seems to have worked out really well for him. We talk about future kids for them - and how many is he thinking. We realized that Jonathan didn't watch any quality TV when he completely missed a Seinfeld reference. We learned that Jonathan speaks Tim's spiritual language - which is Little Rosie's breakfast. We learned what he went to college for and what a Biblical Study degree is - also that a Master of Divinity degree has nothing to do with the white candy with a pecan or cherry on top. Apparently, when he was getting his Biblical Studies degree, they completely bypassed why Naaman was baptized 7 times in the Jordan River. We didn't even question whether he dipped or sprinkled - or was he an infant. They also didn't cover why pastors lay their watches on the pulpit in a big show...which for those of you who don't know either...it literally means nothing since they pay no attention to it.Finally - we learn how he came to be at Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus and what he does for us. Thankfully, he gave us some insight into what our Prospecting Team does here since it's been a mystery for the majority of us.
