1 “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” ’Revelation 2:1-7

Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God2 Timothy 1:7-8

22 Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to menColossians 3:22-23

What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.Luke 16:153 Fire tests the purity of silver and gold,    but the Lord tests the heart.Proverbs 17:310 I have refined you, but not as silver is refined.    Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering.Isaiah 48:107     for he is our God.We are the people he watches over,    the flock under his care.If only you would listen to his voice today!8 The Lord says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah,    as they did at Massah in the wilderness.9 For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience,    even though they saw everything I did.Psalm 95:7-94 On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 “Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”Genesis 22: 4-5
