Episode 3 - Discharging chronic stress

Your Way Podcast 74 - You’re not broken, you're just not allowed to feel

There’s something deeply exhausting about being told you shouldn’t feel the way you feel. That if you were healed enough, evolved enough, doing the work properly… you wouldn’t still feel sad. Or angry. Or frustrated. But you do. And instead of being supported in that, you end up questioning yourself. Wondering what you’re doing wrong. Wondering why it’s not working. This episode is for that version of you. Because the truth is, there’s nothing wrong with you. What’s wrong is the narrative that tells you certain emotions shouldn’t exist in the first place. In this episode, I’m unpacking the damage caused by labeling emotions as “negative”—and how that quiet judgment keeps you stuck in the exact cycles you’re trying to break. “Just hold space for the body.”   Sounds good… but it’s not that simple.   Because when someone drops into their body, they don’t just relax, they meet the grief, anger, and fear they’ve been avoiding for years. And if you don’t know how to hold that safely, you’re not creating transformation… you’re opening something you can’t contain.   In this episode, I respond to a powerful question: do we actually need a method to work with the body, or is creating space enough?   My answer? Space without skill isn’t enough.   The patterns your clients struggle with; people pleasing, perfectionism, burnout, aren’t just mindset issues. They’re nervous system responses.
