The Testosterone “Sweet Spot” with Dr. Keith Nichols | Part 3 of a 3-Part Series

In the final episode of this three-part series, Dr. Nichols dives into the debate around higher testosterone levels, aromatase inhibitors, estradiol management, and the idea that every man should fit into the same “normal” or “optimal” hormone range. Dr. Nichols challenges the belief that estradiol must be aggressively controlled in men on testosterone and explains why symptoms, physiology, and clinical response matter more than chasing one specific lab number. Dr. Nichols also discusses why some men may need higher testosterone levels to feel their best, why suppressing estradiol may interfere with some of testosterone’s benefits, and why providers should be cautious about treating lab values instead of treating patients. This episode brings the entire series full circle with one core message: follow evidence, not ideology. Estrogen Is Not the Enemy with Dr. Keith Nichols | Part 2 of a 3-Part Series

In Part 2 of this three-part series, Dr. Keith Nichols discusses one of the most debated and misunderstood areas of testosterone therapy: estradiol. For years, many men have been taught to fear estrogen, chase a specific estradiol number, or use aromatase inhibitors to “control” estrogen while on testosterone. But the physiology is much more nuanced. In this episode, Dr. Nichols explains why testosterone does not act alone. Testosterone works through testosterone itself, DHT, and estradiol — and estradiol is not simply a side effect. It plays an important role in sexual function, body composition, cardiovascular health, bone health, and overall androgen response. Dr. Nichols discusses why aromatization matters, why suppressing estradiol may interfere with some of testosterone’s benefits, and why lab values need to be interpreted in clinical context rather than treated as isolated numbers. This is Part 2 of a 3-part series. Testosterone: Beliefs vs. Science with Dr. Keith Nichols | Part 1 of 3

Why “Normal” Isn’t Always Optimal with Dr. Keith Nichols In Part 1 of this three-part series, Dr. Keith Nichols, Medical Director and CEO of Tier 1 Health & Wellness, deep dives into one of the most misunderstood topics in men’s health: testosterone. Dr. Nichols breaks down why testosterone levels have declined over time, how lab reference ranges have shifted, and why many men are told their numbers are “normal” even when they are experiencing symptoms consistent with testosterone deficiency. Dr. Nichols discuss the difference between population-based reference ranges and individual physiology, the importance of free testosterone, the role of SHBG, and why a single lab value should not be the only factor used to determine whether a man is healthy, optimized, or appropriately treated. This episode is about challenging dogma, questioning outdated assumptions, and returning to the evidence. Topics discussed in this episode include: Testosterone levels declining across generations Why lab reference ranges have shifted lower over time The problem with using one universal testosterone threshold Total testosterone vs. free testosterone How SHBG affects testosterone availability Why “normal” does not always mean optimal Why symptoms, history, and clinical context matter The limitations of current testosterone guidelines Why men may be undertreated despite feeling symptomatic This is Part 1 of a 3-part series: Testosterone: Beliefs vs. Science. Why Men Should Be Tracking Their Erections with Dr. Elliot James

We track our sleep, steps, heart rate, HRV, glucose, and recovery — but why aren’t men tracking one of the most important indicators of sexual and cardiovascular health? In this episode, Amy sits down with Dr. Elliot Justin, CEO and founder of FirmTech, to talk about the future of sexual health wearables and why erectile fitness deserves to be part of the men’s health conversation. Dr. Justin explains how nocturnal erections can provide valuable insight into a man’s vascular health, sexual performance, and overall wellness. They discuss why erection issues are often treated with a pill instead of investigated as a potential warning sign, how FirmTech’s TechRing tracks firmness, frequency, and duration, and why objective data may help men and providers better understand what is really happening. They also cover the connection between cardiovascular health and erectile function, performance anxiety, testosterone optimization, pumps, Trimix, erection rings, and why men need better tools than guesswork when it comes to sexual health. This episode is a candid, funny, and eye-opening conversation about erections, data, confidence, relationships, and why men should stop driving blind when it comes to their health. TRT Isn’t Magic — It’s Momentum with Dave Lee (Part 2)

In Part 2 of our conversation with Dave Lee, we break down some of the most common questions men have about testosterone replacement therapy. How long does it take to see results? What should men realistically expect in the first few weeks? And how do you know if treatment is actually working? Dave explains why TRT is not an overnight fix, but a process of moving in the right direction. Libido, mood, energy, and motivation may start to improve within the first several weeks, but the real marker of progress is not always perfection — it is movement. One of the biggest mindset mistakes men make is measuring how far they still have to go instead of recognizing how far they have already come. Going from a 1 to a 3 may not feel like the finish line, but it is still meaningful progress. We also discuss common side effects, what men should watch for, and why proper monitoring, dosing, and expectations matter when it comes to safe and effective testosterone optimization. This episode is for any man considering TRT, currently on TRT, or trying to better understand what realistic progress should look like. The TRT Question Every Man Is Asking: What Is It, Do You Need It, and What Can It Actually Do?

Dave Lee breaks down the first two of the most commonly asked questions about testosterone replacement therapy: what TRT actually is, and what benefits men can realistically expect. Dave explains why TRT is better understood as testosterone optimization, not simply “replacement,” and why the real question is not always “Do I need it?” but “Could I benefit from it enough to justify the commitment?” He also breaks down the difference between short-term symptom improvement and the long-term life changes that can happen when a man’s hormones, health, and lifestyle are properly aligned. This conversation covers libido, erections, brain fog, mood, energy, body composition, confidence, motivation, and the importance of managing expectations. TRT is not a magic fix, but for the right man, with the right provider and the right protocol, it can be a powerful tool for improving quality of life and long-term health. Strong Bones, Longer Life: The Truth About Osteoporosis in Men and Women

Most people do not think about bone health until something breaks, but by then the damage may already be underway. TRT: Do You Need It… or Could You Benefit?

Dave breaks down the difference between needing TRT and benefiting from it, framing TRT as an intentional long-term intervention—not just “sick care.” He explains why “normal range” can be misleading, why symptoms + lifestyle matter as much as labs, and how to think through risk, responsibility, and whether the juice is worth the squeeze. What’s New in Longevity: What’s Real vs. What’s Hype

A4M just gave us a front-row seat to what’s next in longevity care—here’s what we’re actually bringing back to Victory (and what we’re leaving behind). In this episode, Amy Stuttle is joined by Anna Griffith, DNP at Victory Men’s Health to recap the biggest takeaways from A4M in Las Vegas—the largest academic conference in the U.S. for functional and longevity medicine. They break down what stood out, what felt “bright and shiny” but didn’t hold up under scrutiny, and what Victory is actually bringing back to patients. You’ll hear practical insights on protein quality vs. just “eating more protein,” why amino acids (and leucine thresholds) matter—especially for those fasting or using GLP-1s—and the supplements they’re most excited to add, including Perfect Aminos and Urolithin A. Amy and Anna also discuss one of the most talked-about topics at the conference: TB-006 and Galectin-3 as an emerging area of research for neurodegenerative disease symptom support, plus the complementary role of modified citrus pectin. They wrap with an update on the exploding peptide conversation—what’s real, what’s marketing, and why clinical oversight matters—and a look at new longevity tools Victory is adding at the new location, including VO2 max testing as part of a more complete longevity strategy. If you’ve been wondering what’s next in longevity medicine—and what’s worth your time versus hype—this episode gives you the real-world, clinician-level breakdown.
