How Long Term Underwater Treadmill Therapy Impacts Joint Range of Motion with Ané Lloyd

In this week's podcast episode, we look back at a Research Refresh by Ané Lloyd. Ané reviews a pilot study where 50 dogs of different ages and with different musculoskeletal diseases underwent a 5 week underwater treadmill treatment protocol. The study reports improvements in the range of motion of all joints following the 5 week period. She discusses how we can use our clinical records to prep and create retrospective studies, how we need to have our practices set up to do that, and what some of my recommendations would be if that is something that you want to pursue. She also discusses the various limitations of this study, and how it can be set up in the future to give us more reliable data. An Introduction to the Masterson Method for Canine Professionals with Robin Robinett

In this episode, Robin talks to Ané about her journey and how she has built an impressive range of qualifications, including DVM, chiropractic, acupuncture, and the Masterson Method. They explore how the Masterson Method differs from the other tools in her toolbox, with a focus on the power of light touch and the profound impact it can have on our patients. Stepping Into Your 2026 Identity with Nicola Kinnard

In this episode, Nicola describes the three steps, or areas, we can work on when moving towards changing our identity: our why, our self-image or self-beliefs, and our values. Nicola and Ané talk about "holding more" — what that means, how it is different from "doing more" or "being more," and how we can move towards that. Behind The Vet Rehab Practice with Kellie Kavenagh

In this episode, Kellie joins Megan to share her journey into vet rehab. Starting as a veterinary nurse, she gradually increased the time she dedicated to rehabilitation until she was able to focus on it fully. She eventually took the leap and opened her own practice just two doors down from where she had been working—despite not feeling completely financially ready at the time.  That leap of faith paid off. Now, after running her practice solo for the past two years, Kellie is preparing to hire her first assistant and is finally looking forward to some well-deserved time off. This is an honest and inspiring conversation about growth, risk, and trusting the process.
